Chapter 1

The girl sat quietly on the sofa. After listening to what her uncle, Glenn Meyer, had to say, she fell silent for a long while.

Taking some time to clear her thoughts, she finally spoke, “So… now you want me to get married on behalf of Vanny?”

Glenn looked at her guiltily and replied with a sigh, “Edith, I really have no choice. Johann took Vanny and left without a word. Now the Lawson family wants her. What can I do? You look like her, and you are also legally my daughter…”
