Cherry Allen was a woman in a predicament. She found herself torn between two choices that could both lead to misery and heartache. On one hand, there was Brandon Black, her egotistical boss who had an obsessive desire for power. He had made it clear that he wanted her and expected her to comply with his every sexual fantasy. On the other hand, there was the option of quitting her job and risking a life full of misery and woe because of her ex Jacob, who was back in town with a past filled with bad decisions and disappointments. A past only Brandon wielded the power to stop from resurfacing. Brandon was a wealthy and influential man who believed that the world was his playground. He was no narcissist, but he had no problem with using his power and influence to get what he wanted. However, he was surprised when he found himself falling head over heels for Cherry after having a one-night stand with her. He couldn't get her out of his mind and he wanted her more than anything else. But Cherry was not an easy conquest. She was a woman of integrity and self-respect and she was not willing to become a sex slave to Brandon's fantasies. She made it clear to him that she would not give in to his demands and that he had to respect her boundaries. Brandon was not used to rejection and he initially didn't take it well. He tried to use his power and influence to persuade her but she stood her ground. He soon realized that he had to change his approach if he wanted to win her over. He learned that not everything in life could be controlled with power and that there were other ways to get what he wanted. He started to woo her with love and affection, something he had never done before. He took her on romantic dates, bought her gifts, and showed her a side of himself that he had never shown anyone else. He soon realized that he was falling in love with her and that he wanted her to be his forever. Cherry was initially skeptical of his newfound sincerity but she eventually let her guard down. She saw the man beneath the power and influence and realized that he was capable of love and tenderness. She agreed to be his girlfriend on the condition that he respected her boundaries and treated her with dignity and respect. In the end, Brandon learned that true love could not be obtained through power and influence. He had to change his ways and learn to love someone for who they were. Cherry, on the other hand, learned that love could come from unexpected places and that sometimes, the best things in life were worth fighting for.
