Toyosi went to the other room to take her school bag and slung it over her shoulder ,left the house with a dejected face thinking what did I ever do to this woman called my mother . Toyosi akinsowon is your average dark skinned petite under nourished 17 year old girl . The first child out of three children her mom birthed , currently in her final year of secondary school. All her life she has been under appreciated,given little care or none . she displays only one emotion most of her life which is emptiness . she replayed what happened early this morning In her head , Her mom has always remembered and celebrated her siblings birthday but not hers. Sh doesn't know the feeling of being loved by ones family ,her siblings never gave her the respect she deserves .she could never blame them tho ,its the way they see their mom treat her .Her step father has always sided her but there's more that meet the eye . Not a day goes by has she not wondered why her mother behaves like that towards her, she trains herself to feel nothing , but she always wondered am I not allowed to love and be loved ?!

Ibironke sat in the middle of the room awkwardly,tapping her fingers silently while waiting for the interviewer to ask the normal interview questions. “Your name please” The interviewer said without raising her head up . “Ibironke oladeji .” She said meekly What ?! The interviewer raised her head up Ibironke oladeji ! She said louder Looking uneasy , the interviewer said “sorry I can’t pronounce your name , can yo-“ “Just call me Ron”. Ibironke blurted out . Ok . The interviewer said looking relieved . “Now Ron , I’ve been looking at your file and it says you have a bachelors degree in economics at the University of Chicago . That’s nice but I’m afraid you’re overqualified for this job .” “Why?!” Ibironke said with a shaky voice The interviewer sighs . “you applied for the role of a personal assistant and I can’t accept you cause this is outside what you studied in school .” “I don’t care ! I need this job miss” Rubbing her head the interviewer said , “look Ron you went to a really nice school and your employer isn’t someone you can handle . No offense but you look very timid and I don’t think you can last a week with him” Ibironke laughs . “I don’t think you understand ma’am” I- “it’s Tessa . Please don’t call me ma’am .” “Ok Tessa” .” “I need this job ! I don’t care if my employer is satan himself , I need money and if you don’t want me robbing a bank after I leave here , you have to employ me !” Ibironke oladeji is your average twenty three years old girl in debt and is in desperate need of a job .will she get the job ? Who knows .
