The heir's woman

Romance
5.0
Blurb: When a twist of fate forces her to return to her hometown of LA, Renee, a struggling pianist, finds herself thrust into a world she thought she'd left behind. Back home, Renee's family's guest house teeters on the edge of ruin and with real estate sharks circling and time running out, she makes a desperate decision to save her family's legacy. Drawn together by circumstance and bound by necessity, Renee strikes a perilous deal with an arrogant mogul and the CEO of Ashford Company, trading her freedom for the salvation of her family's heirloom. Now, bound to her arrogant savior, Renee must navigate a precarious partnership while confronting the unexpected stirrings of romance. But as secrets unravel and tensions rise, will their alliance crumble under the weight of hidden agendas? And what sacrifices are they willing to make to secure a future beyond their tangled pasts? Can they find redemption in the arms of their greatest adversary, or are some dreams too fragile to survive? Characterisation: Renee(FL)- A pianist struggling to find a name for herself makes a deal with Richard when her parents' guest house was on the verge of crumbling down. She's pretty and short, has hazel brown hair and matching eyes. Richard (ML) - The arrogant multimillionaire CEO represents success and masculine grace. He exudes unassailable authority, commands attention wherever he goes and with his chiseled features and piercing eyes, he cuts a figure of power and dominance. He proposes a deal with Renee to save her family's guest house in exchange for her. He's 6ft tall, well-defined abs and slender but masculine body. Stan (VL) - Stan is Richard's younger brother. His cold demeanor and lack of empathy make him a formidable adversary, and he harbors a dark secret — his involvement in the accident that claimed Renee's father's life. Stan's willingness to resort to deceit, sabotage, and even murder reveals the depths of his malevolence. He operates in the shadows, using his influence and cunning to achieve his goals while reveling in the suffering he inflicts upon others. He's as tall as Richard but not as masculine and well built like his brother. They have the same eyes but he's tainted with mischief. Plot - Exposition - Renee is a talented pianist trying to make a name for herself in New York City's competitive music scene. But navigating her way in this musical world has been challenging and all her effort have proved abortive as each audition she went for always turned her down. After several failed auditions she then decides to travel back home with hopes that maybe she'll find what was missing. Inciting incident - Her return home was a surprise to her mum who was struggling to save their guest house which was on the brink of collapse due to financial difficulties. When Renee learns of this, she's angry at first and then she offers to help in any possible way even if it means halting her dreams. She also attends an event and on her way home, encounters an accident where she runs into Richard, the multimillionaire CEO of ASHFORD companies ( of which she had no idea at that time). Rising action- Things seemed to be looking fine and just when they had saved up enough, there was an attack which left them crumbling back down, this time, way below. With nowhere left to turn, she desperately signs a deal with Richard as a last-ditch effort to save the guest house from being sold. This contract comes with a condition that she becomes his PA. Climax - After saving the guest house in exchange for her freedom, Renee now on a new path of life, explores a new world of unexpected romance with her arrogant hero. Meanwhile, Richard has grown increasingly protective of Renee and invested in her family's plight. He also vowed to stand by her side and help protect the guest house from those who seek to exploit it. All along, he was aware that his brother was the one behind the attack/downfall and that was why he offered help disguised as the contract. Stan, his brother, did this because apparently, he has always had eyes for the guest house and he was even the one responsible for the accident that killed Renee's father 7 years ago. Knowing this, Richard had always kept an eye on Renee and was smart enough to cook up a contract to keep her close all the time. When Renee discovers this, she feels betrayed and is torn between keeping her promise to save her family's guest house and protecting her pride. Denouement: Renee forgives Richard who promises to never keep anything from her again. Stan is put behind bars for murder and trespassing. The guest house is safe and far from future harm as Richard marries Renee. Renee, new found love in her heart is able to successfully pursue her dreams as a pianist.
