THE GHOST MERCENARY
Adventure In the plane, Haylan Jaber leaned against the window frame and looked down at the rugged mountains below, feeling a bit edgy. “It’s been eight years. How are Mom and Dad? With all the money I sent back, they must have moved into a big mansion,” he thought.
He was twenty-eight years old and had thick brows and stunningly beautiful eyes. He was quite good-looking.
He had a worn duffel bag across his shoulder and wore a white tank top, a plaid shirt with jeans, and a pair of muddy cowboy boots. They were all cheap stuff, and he looked downright broke.
However, the cold, fleeting gleam in his eyes was sharp as a fine knife that could slice anyone’s throat in the blink of an eye.
The stubble on his chin made him look older than he was.
Looking out of the window, he peered down at the familiar yet strange city below the clouds with anticipation in his eyes. CHERISHED BY THE SEVEN
Adventure The confrontation draws attention from neighbors, but Emrys doesn't back down. Instead, he continues to chastise Gavin for his lack of empathy and compassion towards the man who took him in. Emrys defends Walter Olman, the retired director of Sunshine Children's Home, whom he fondly remembers from his childhood.
Gavin, stunned and humiliated, remains silent after the onslaught of slaps. Emrys, now standing between Gavin and Walter, turns to the elderly man with concern. "Mr. Olman, are you okay? Why would you endure such mistreatment from him?"
Walter, still shaken, looks up at Emrys with a mixture of gratitude and sadness. "It's complicated, young man. Gavin is my adopted son, and I feel responsible for him. But he has changed over the years, and I don't know how to handle him anymore."
Emrys, empathetic but firm, advises Walter, "You shouldn't let him treat you this way. If he needs help, there are better ways to address it. I can talk to him, and we can find a solution together."
As the situation unfolds, Emrys realizes that the Sunshine Children's Home and the people from his past have undergone significant changes during his absence. Despite the complexities, Emrys is determined to protect the man who once cared for him and the memory of the girls who shared promises of love and family... Flash Marriage: Turning The Tide
