My Extraordinary Wife Chapter 13 Mrs Nolan Is Blushing
Around her, some Frenchmen started praising his pronunciation.
“This captain speaks French fluently.”
“Très bien!”
“I love hearing him speak in English, too.”
Ashlyn heard them praising Lucas in their native language clearly.
Spencer puffed his chest up proudly. “Mrs. Nolan, he did a good job, right?”
“Yes, my husband is great. He did well!” Ashlyn smiled and lavished praises on him generously because she knew Spencer would report everything she said to Lucas later.
When they finally arrived in London, it was eleven at night.
The moment Ashlyn stepped off the plane, she let out a sneeze.
She was clad in a yellow dress and a khaki coat, but the night breeze was too much for her. So, she couldn’t help but shiver at the sudden chill.
Spencer stood by her side as they waited for Lucas together.
After handling the landing procedures, Lucas walked out with the purser and the other flight attendants behind him.
They looked so good-looking in their uniforms that they immediately became the center of attraction in the airport.
Especially Lucas, whose captain’s uniform accentuated his masculine sexiness.
Ashlyn shot him a sweet smile before she remembered they were getting a divorce soon. Naturally, she shouldn’t do anything strange in front of his colleagues.
My Extraordinary Wife Chapter 14 Captain Nolan Has Mania
Ashlyn was half asleep when she suddenly felt her body burning. Even her breath was heated.
She shifted uncomfortably and opened her eyes. At once, she met the man’s dark gaze.
Ashlyn propped herself up and touched her forehead. “What time is it?”
“Four in the morning.”
“Why aren’t you asleep?” She stared at Lucas curiously.
“Since you’re awake, take the meds.” He got off the bed and got her a glass of water. He then removed the packaging of the pills and gave them to her.
“Meds?” Ashlyn gazed at the pills resting on her palm blankly.
She wasn’t used to taking meds when she was sick.
Lucas furrowed his brows. “Didn’t you realize you have a fever? I shouldn’t have brought you here. You must’ve caught a fever because of me.”
“No wonder my body is aching so badly.” Ashlyn didn’t like taking medicine, but since Lucas was staring at her, she had no choice but to swallow the pills.
After taking the pills, she snuggled into his embrace. Her voice was weak as she thanked him, “Thank you, honey.”
Lucas must’ve summoned the doctor as he realized I had a fever.
Well, for the past four years, he did his duty as a husband.
The thing is, we don’t love each other.
Lucas wrapped his arm around her waist upon hearing the affection in her voice. “Seducing me again?”
Ashlyn giggled coyly. “I feel much more refreshed after sleeping. I also feel more energetic now.”
My Extraordinary Wife Chapter 15 Expensive Divorce Gift
Isn’t getting a divorce the best choice? But why do I feel agitated when she talks about our divorce?
For the past four years, he had rarely been this agitated.
His mania symptoms had abated, so he thought it was because he took his meds regularly.
When Lucas finally exited the bathroom, he had regained his composure.
Ashlyn was playing games on her phone on the sofa. “If you refuse to take Whitland Villa, I’ll buy the entire Mossy Lake residential area and put it under your name.”
“What?” Ashlyn’s nimble fingers froze at his words. She couldn’t even focus on her game, causing her opponent’s attack to land on her. Her character immediately lost.
The man stood before the French windows with his back facing her. The light shone on him and highlighted his broad shoulders, long legs, and tall figure.
“All three hundred units within the ten blocks in Mossy Lake will be yours. You can have your pick.”
The entire Mossy Lake residential area was developed by a property development division under Nolan Group. It was rumored to be opened for sale on the first day of the next month.
Why is it mine now before its opening? Ashlyn was confused.
“No, no. Captain Nolan, even if you’re rich, you can’t spend your money like this.” Ashlyn wasn’t about to accept his offer.
“I bought it with my own money. It has nothing to do with Nolan Group.” Lucas’ reply was nonchalant like he had just bought vegetables in the market instead of buying the entire residential area.
My Extraordinary Wife Chapter 16 The Indifferent Captain Nolan Is A Softie
Ashlyn had no choice but to give in.
Did he come out from the cockpit just to ask if I have taken my meds?
Spencer had already forced me to drink two glasses of water! It’s troublesome to keep going to the toilet, okay?
Jenny who was standing not far away heard them talking about ‘water’ and ‘meds’. She furrowed her brows instantly.
Her instincts told her that girl wasn’t Spencer’s girlfriend.
Instead, she seemed more intimate with Captain Nolan.
Lucas pulled Ashlyn’s blanket up in an oppressing but elegant manner. “Cover up.”
He turned to Jenny and ordered, “Bring her another blanket.”
Jenny bit her lip and left to get another blanket. When she returned, she handed it to Ashlyn, but Lucas took it from her. He spread the blanket and placed it on Ashlyn gently. “It’s cold at night.”
Jenny’s eyes widened as she stared at the couple in disbelief.
Did I just see the notoriously indifferent Captain Nolan being a softie by putting the blanket on that girl?
What is going on?
Isn’t she Spencer’s girlfriend?
Jenny’s thoughts were in a whirl.
“Got it,” Ashlyn mumbled. “Why aren’t you going back? Who’s flying the plane?”
“The co-pilot is taking my place now,” Lucas’ reply was crisp. A tinge of displeasure entered his voice. “Do you want me to leave?”
Ashlyn hurriedly flattered him in return. “No, I’m just worried about your job. Over 100 lives on this plane are in your hands.”
My Extraordinary Wife Chapter 17 His Hot Pilot Uniform
After leaving the airport, Ashlyn and Spencer got into their car.
They waited for over 10 minutes before Lucas arrived.
Ashlyn knew he must be exhausted after the long flight.
As an understanding wife, I have to please him so he will agree to sign the divorce papers, she decided.
Immediately, she reached out to massage his shoulders. “Do you feel comfortable?”
The man took her hands. “Let me hold you for a while.”
He pulled her into his arms and closed his eyes to rest.
When the car finally reached the garage, Ashlyn realized Lucas was sound asleep on her shoulder.
Even when he was asleep, he looked astoundingly handsome.
His long, curly eyelashes were, of course, envied by many.
He had thrown his captain’s cap on the seat carelessly, but the uniform he had on complimented his figure perfectly.
Spencer was about to wake Lucas up, but Ashlyn stopped him by putting her finger at her lips. He got off the car quietly and left them both alone.
Ashlyn’s shoulder was aching as the man was leaning on it. However, she couldn’t bear to wake him up. Her eyes closed.
Being a pilot might seem like a dignified job, yet in reality, it was laborious.
After the plane took off, the pilots had to focus intently on their task so nothing would go wrong.
My Extraordinary Wife Chapter 18 From An Adorable Cutie To An Iceberg
Lucas had married Ashlyn four years ago because of his grandpa. Now that his grandpa had passed away, he should proceed with the divorce procedures.
There was no need to drag it out.
Without waiting for Spencer’s reply, he continued, “No need to wait till then. Tell her I’ll head there now.”
Ashlyn hadn’t even walked out from the villa’s courtyard when she heard Spencer yelling her name. She stopped and saw him running over to stop her in a huff. “Ms. Berry!”
“What?”
Did Lucas change his mind?
“Mr. Nolan said he can head to the Registry Office now. He told me to give you a ride there.”
“Great! Thank you, Mr. White.”
At the Registry Office, there was no one there at the divorce division late that afternoon.
The whole hall seemed empty and desolate.
After a few minutes, Lucas and Ashlyn walked out with their Certificate of Divorce.
Ashlyn looked up at the unusually blue sky and took in a deep breath of the exceptionally fresh air.
Finally, they had gotten a divorce, ending their marriage, which lasted for four years.
“Where are you going? I can give you a ride.” Lucas’ deep voice rang above her.
Ashlyn shot him a smile. “No need.”

Chapter 1 The Substitute Bride
Celia Kane woke up in a trance, finding herself weak and dizzy. The most bizarre thing was that she was wearing a wedding dress.
Several bodyguards held her and were about to force her into a bridal car.
"Wait! What are you doing? Let go of me!" Celia was in a panic. She couldn't believe what was happening.
She only had gone back to get her mother's belongings and stayed for a meal at her father's request. That was all she could recall. What was going on now?
The strong bodyguards held Celia tighter and brutally pressed her into the bridal car.
"This is Mr. Kane's order. Get in the car now," shouted one of the bodyguards in a loud and terrifying voice.
Celia was taken aback. She almost couldn't believe that this was her father's idea.
She was shocked and confused at the same time, trying to recall what had happened.
Two hours ago, her father, Adrien Kane, told her that he had accidentally found her mother's belongings in the attic. He asked her if she wanted to come back and take them with her.

Chapter 1 1. Brokenhearted
"Let's break up,"
"What? W-what do you mean?" Grace stammered. A cold sweat started rolling down her back.
"I want to end this relationship," Victor said.
"B-but we've only been dating for two months. Why do you want to break up? What did I do wrong?" The girl asked, almost crying.
"I realized that I've been feeling uncomfortable with you." The boy with thin lips let out a long sigh. "I don't know about you, but I really want to break up. Please don't bother me anymore. Live well. Goodbye,"
Grace was stunned as she watched Victor walk away, leaving her alone in the cafe near their campus. Victor Sbastian; her first love, whom she had a crush on for six years - since high school.
Tears trickled down Grace's cheeks. Her chest felt tight, as if she were drowning in the deepest sea on earth. She cried alone, like a stupid girl.

Chapter 1 Encounters in shadows
Lily closed her bookstore as the sun dipped below the horizon, leaving the coastal town bathed in the soft hues of twilight. The breeze that met the skin of her back eased the stress of the day and gave almost the same peace of mind that the books she buries herself in gave. Lily locked the creaky door and decided to take a solitary stroll along the shore to clear her mind. Entranced by the sound of waves and the allure of the moonlit night, She cautiously followed a narrow path that led to “The Secluded Beach”.
The beach, nestled between craggy cliffs and hidden behind a dense thicket of windswept trees, earned its reputation as secluded due to its elusive location. The narrow path leading to its shores remained obscured by the natural surroundings, creating an intimate enclave shielded from the prying eyes of the coastal town. The locals, perhaps respecting the tranquil beauty of the spot, kept its existence hushed, contributing to the aura of secrecy that enveloped the secluded beach. Its isolation became a canvas for clandestine meetings and whispered confessions, making it the perfect backdrop for encounters meant to be shielded from the gaze of the world.
The soft sand crunched beneath her shoes as she emerged onto the shore. Lily observed as soft waves lap at the shore, casting a silver glow on the secluded stretch of sand. As She cautiously approached, she observed a clandestine meeting between two figures - a mysterious woman and the powerful shipbuilder, Sebastian.

Chapter 1 Take What We Need
It was late into the night, and the lights inside the Lu family villa shone brightly, a stark contrast amongst the otherwise dark street.
As she stood in front of the windows looking out, Janessa Qiu made her last call to Rayan Lu. After a few rings, the call was abruptly ended, as she expected. She took a few deep breaths to steady herself before flinging the phone aside, unwrapping her bathrobe, and stepping into the steaming bathtub. She closed her eyes to rest.
The warmth of the water calmed her, and her eyelids soon grew heavy.
A few years back, her father passed away, and now, her mother was seriously ill. This made her Uncle Aydin started to cause trouble for them. She had been working a few days in a row and she was exhausted by now.
Before she could fall into a deep sleep, she could vaguely make out dull footsteps from outside the room. It seemed close by, but she couldn't bring herself to open her eyes and step out of the bathtub.

Chapter 1 Their Baby
"Ma'am, our examination indicates that your uterine wall is unusually thin, making the fetus's position precarious. It's essential to exercise caution with your diet and physical activities," the doctor explained, holding out a piece of paper to Sabrina Chavez. "Here, take this. Go get the medicine."
"Understood, doctor," Sabrina responded, carefully taking the prescription from the doctor.
The doctor emphasized, "Make sure to take good care of yourself. This is a serious matter." A thin uterine wall can increase the risk of miscarriage. It is unfortunate that many women who experience a miscarriage face difficulties conceiving again.
"Thank you, doctor. I'll take care of myself," Sabrina assured him, a resolute smile playing on her lips.
Having been married for three years, she had eagerly anticipated this baby for the same duration, and she was determined to do everything in her power to protect it.

Chapter 1 Whose Bastard Is It
It was a deep, tranquil night.
In the living room of the Lu family house, Selina An sat quietly on the sofa and looked out the window from time to time.
She was tightly holding a pregnancy test report in her hand. She kept reading it over and over to make sure that she was not imagining the results. She was pregnant.
She was with Ezra Lu's child.
She felt both happy and scared. She could not be more thrilled to have this baby. But at the same time, she could not help worrying about Ezra's reaction. He might not be expecting this delightful surprise.
She was lost in her various fancies and conjectures when she heard the sound of a car pulling over outside. She sprung from the sofa and excitedly walked to the front door to greet her husband. The moment he walked in, she smiled and told him, "I'm pregnant, Ezra."
As soon as she finished her words, he narrowed his eyes at her and slowly approached her.
'What is he doing? ' she thought.
Before she could think of an answer, Ezra's hand was already clamped over her neck. He shoved her against the wall and stared at her with enraged eyes.
She trembled as she struggled to loosen his grip on her throat. "Ezra..." she gasped. "I'm pregnant with your child."

Chapter 1 Preface
If she knew before that this day was going to be her last, she would have appreciated her last moments with her mate a little more.
She could not remember the last words she said to him but she remembered what she felt just right. Embraced in his arms, huddling against the warmth of the burning wood—she remembered she was happy. Happier than she had ever been.
She didn't remember telling him how she felt, maybe she did not because she was too involved in enjoying the moment. She remembered the way his eyes glistened against the fire, holding hers—his scent, calming in a way and at the same time, disallowing her to be away. Also, smiling as his lips met hers. She remembered wanting to tell him she was in love with him.
But she did not remember telling him that and it hurt.
More than the combined pain of a concussion, a bleeding arm and a silver bullet in her shoulder. Any of her attempts to contact her mate failed. When she was first brought here, she was able to feel his anger. She could read this thoughts and hoped he would be here anytime soon but now as time slipped from her hand like fine sand, there was nothing left in her. Her powers had diminished. Her body had given up on her.

Chapter 1 The Substitute Bride
Standing in front of the mirror in an ill-fitting wedding dress, Jane studied her reflection and felt the corner of her lips twist into a wry smile.
“Sign this contract”.
Jane caught the document that her father, Peter Harrison, tossed at her. Her eyes traveled to the bottom of the page where her husband-to-be’s signature stared back at her: Ethan Harrington.
The handwriting was neat as though in fine print but the pen had been gripped with enough force for the ink to have bled through the other side of the paper.
“You’ll be well taken care of as his wife but…”, he warned, “… you’d better behave”.
An edge crept into his voice like the hints of a dark cloud looming over the horizon.
“Think about what will happen to your grandmother if you ruin everything”.
It should have been Stacy in her place, Jane thought. But Stacy didn’t want to marry a man on the verge of death — why would she?
She had fled just a few hours before her wedding but to tell the groom’s family would be nothing short of insulting, even humiliating, which was why her father had — rather callously— threatened Jane with her grandmother’s life to coerce her into taking Stacy’s place.
