The Unwanted Mate Chapter 2 Meeting Him
Evelyn took the basket before setting off to search for some fruits and herbs. She had to collect and sell them in the nearby village market to buy clothes and other necessities.
Though the forest provided her food and water, it couldn't give her blankets and shoes. She needed money. Earning wasn't difficult business, though. Evelyn knew where all the rare herbs grew. She could even cultivate them if she wanted. Perks of living in the forest, she supposed.
The herbs were costly around this time of the year because winter was approaching. She could use the extra money to buy a new blanket. Her old one was torn.
Should she stay in the treehouse until winter blew over? Perhaps not. It was best to move out when she had enough money and supplies. Finding a place to stay before winter comes may prove to be a troublesome task. She didn't have any time to waste.
***
It's been two days since Evelyn left the treehouse. So far, she has had no luck. The cold was bothering her now. It would be dangerous if she caught a cold somehow.
The bag containing all her worldly belongings was getting heavier and heavier with each step. Evelyn wanted to give up. Why was she still holding on?
Always running. Always hiding. Always living in fear. What was the point of living like this?
The Unwanted Mate Chapter 3 The Shadow Pack
The man stared at her, a distasteful look on his face. Evelyn wanted to crawl into a hole. It was obvious her mate wasn't happy with her.
She didn't blame him. How could anyone be happy with a girl like her? She was weak and uneducated. Evelyn didn't even know how to defend herself.
Her mate was evidently the alpha of his Pack. Evelyn knew how important the role of alpha and luna was to a Pack, how could she ever qualify for the responsibility?
"Take her to the pack doctor," the Alpha commanded, his face void of any emotion. Evelyn didn't dare make eye contact with him. Somehow, she knew in her heart he didn't want her looking at him directly.
Her mate then stalked out of the cabin, not even bothering to give the girl a second glance. Evelyn stared at her other half as he left, his scent disappearing with him.
Her head hung low, unable to hold back the tears in her eyes. But she didn't want to cry in front of strangers.
"Hey." The curly-haired man scratched the back of his neck. He didn't know how to handle a crying omega. "Um... You need to come with us. Don't worry, we won't hurt you." His voice was gentle.
Evelyn didn't know what to say. She had to stay with her mate. Staying apart from one's mate can cause serious physical and mental issues for both of them. But hurting her mate was the last thing she wanted.
The omega wiped her tears, trying to give the man a small smile as she stood up. Her legs were still shaking from the not-so-pleasant encounter with her mate. She sighed, collecting her bag from the floor.
The Unwanted Mate Chapter 4 A Dissatisfied Alpha
Hesitantly, Evelyn stood in front of the door, not knowing what to do. She was afraid of what her mate would say. She had lost all hope of being accepted by him.
What if he didn't like her? What if he was already married?
What if he rejects her?
Worry and alarms shot through Evelyn's veins. She bunched the fabric of her sweater tightly in her hands. It took her a few minutes of breathing in and out slowly to help her muster up the courage to proceed.
Taking one last deep breath, Evelyn slowly raised her hand to knock.
"Come in." A deep voice came from inside the room, making her hand pause in mid-air. The omega gasped and stepped back. How on earth did he know she was outside his door?
In truth, the alpha had smelled the presence of the girl the second she came into his proximity, an alluring scent of jasmine too strong to ignore. He was waiting for the omega to knock, but spoke up when he lost his patience.
Evelyn opened the door cautiously before peeking inside. The scent of her mate hit the omega like a wave. She inhaled deeply, closing her eyes as she enjoyed the comfort it gave her.
The alpha cleared his throat, and Evelyn snapped back into reality. She stared at the man sitting on his office chair, who was looking back at her with intensely blue eyes.
He wore a black T-shirt and blue jeans, his muscles straining under the thin fabric as he crossed his arms. Alphas were naturally strong and muscular. Having a domineering aura was expected of an Alpha, to be able to stand out from other ranks. However, Evelyn could sense there was something different about the man in front of her. He was commanding, sure, but there was also a dangerous presence surrounding him. It wouldn't be wise to mess with him.
The Unwanted Mate Chapter 5 Amelia And Rain
"Evelyn, are you alright?" Amelia's worried voice made the omega snap out of her thoughts. She was staring mindlessly out the window when Amelia entered her room.
"You seemed to be in deep thoughts," the tan-skinned doctor commented, simultaneous amusement and concern slipping through her voice.
"I... It was nothing..." Evelyn picked at a hangnail, her face burning a bit as she ducked down. She still felt a little awkward talking to people, no matter how much Amelia did to make her feel comfortable.
Evelyn couldn't see this place as her home, no matter how much she tried to. She would never feel warmth in this place for as long as her mate didn't accept her…
"How's your fever?" Amelia asked. Her hand was immediately on Evelyn's forehead to check her temperature.
Evelyn's face burned even hotter. She wasn't used to people coming so close to her and touching her so gently. Especially not people as beautiful as Amelia.
"It's okay, I think. I feel a lot better now," she replied, her voice low.
Amelia nodded briskly. "You should still drink herbal tea, though. It's good for your health." She smiled fondly at the omega.
Evelyn was about to respond when she glimpsed a fluffy blonde head peeking at her from the door. She leaned over and looked past Amelia to get a better view, but the person had disappeared from sight.
The scent of roses filled the air, a refreshing aroma. It must be another omega.
Amelia was watching Evelyn with amusement on her face. But when the scent of roses reached her, she let out a snort and rolled her eyes. She knew exactly who it was.
The Unwanted Mate Chapter 6 Winter Garden
"How does it taste, Luna?" One of the omega maids asked as Evelyn tasted the soup.
"It's really good," Evelyn smiled. "Also, you can call me Evelyn. I'm not the Luna." She stared down at her bowl. It felt awkward to her, being called Luna. Being called something she wasn't.
"But you will be!" The maid chirped. "Soon." She winked at Evelyn before leaving to take care of her chores.
Practically, every omega in the Pack was excited about Evelyn becoming the next Luna. No omega has ever taken over a position with such great reverence and responsibility. It was natural for them to believe they finally had someone who understood them to represent them.
Evelyn sighed. She couldn't tell the omegas how complicated her relationship was with the Alpha. Her heart grew heavy because she was giving them false hopes about an impossible dream.
"Luna! Good morning!" A high-pitched voice made Evelyn turn around. It was the blonde omega from yesterday.
"Good morning, Rain." She couldn't help but smile back at the boy. He really had an infectious smile.
Rain tugged on Evelyn's sleeves. "Could you come with me? I have something to show you."
"What is it?" She asked, curious what the omega was so excited about this morning.
"It's a surprise, come on." Rain giggled as he dragged Evelyn with him.
Soon they were out of the pack-house and walking towards the back. The number of trees increased as they walked. After a few minutes, they reached their destination. Evelyn gasped.

Chapter 1 Father's Wedding
Debra's POV:
I stood in a corner, looking at the grand wedding in front of me, the crowd coming and going. However, instead of feeling festive, my heart was full of unwillingness and grievance.
Today was my father's second wedding, and the Silver Ridge Pack was holding a grand wedding ceremony for him since he was the Alpha.
Although this wasn't his first marriage, my father still attached great importance to it. He made sure that the wedding venue was decorated lavishly, and I overheard some people saying that it was even more beautiful than that of his wedding with my mother. My father had also invited many Alphas here, which showed how much he loved and respected his new bride.
But what he failed to realize was that today was also the death anniversary of my mother.
The wedding progressed smoothly, and everyone looked so happy. My mother's grave, on the other hand, was desolate and lonesome, without anyone there to visit her.
I didn't want to be at this stupid wedding. I just wanted to accompany my mother now.
"Debra, where are you going?"
A sharp female voice sounded from not far away, interrupting my conversation with Vicky Todd, my maid.
I turned to look in the direction of the voice and saw my stepmother, Marley Clarkson, and her servant walking to us.
Marley was much younger than my father. In fact, she was only four years older than me. She was the daughter of the Alpha of the Frosty River Pack and exceedingly beautiful. Marley's white wedding dress billowed in the breeze. Her wavy blonde hair framed her face perfectly. She looked as pretty as a porcelain doll.

Allison P.O.V
"Stop staring at him." My best friend Teresa told me as she shook her head.
I averted my gaze from Ethan Iversen, who was chatting with his friends at the specific table in the right corner.
My eyes were always on him which he could never see.
He was the soon-to-be Alpha of our Moonlight Crown Pack and I was just an ordinary Omega.
I was sitting in the canteen of our school with Teresa. It was our break time so we came here to chit-chat.
I sighed and turned my head to Teresa.
"I was just-"
"Yeah yeah, you were looking around and your eyes suddenly fell on him." She said and chuckled. I smiled and looked away.
Teresa was my best friend. She knew everything about me.
"You are this pack's beta's daughter. He can't let you down." She let out.
I shook my head. "No, I want him to look at me as an ordinary girl, not as his father's beta's daughter."
"You are beautiful. He will love you back for sure. Otherwise, I will break his nec-"
"Ssshhh. He will listen to you." I pressed my hand over her mouth to stop her.
It was time for our next lesson to begin. We walked to the classroom.
It was a Brand Promotion class. The best part was that it was one of the few classes where seniors and juniors could sit together.

Chapter 1 One
Lola's POV
" I, Grayson Dawson, Alpha of the Moonlit pack, reject you, Lola Ashton, as my mate and Luna of this pack", I heard Grayson's voice reach my ear and a single tear ran down my left cheek as it felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest.
Why me? Why am I always on the receiving end of bad things? What have I ever done to deserve this? I wanted to scream and shout at him. I'm his mate, his fated one and he's rejecting me because I'm the runt of the pack? More tears ran down my cheeks and I saw him smile at my misfortune.
"I, Lola Ashton, accept……..", I did not finish my sentence before he held me up by my throat and snarled in my face. His eyes had already changed colors so I knew his wolf was in charge.
" You will not reject me, slut. I am your owner and I tell you what to do and when", he slapped me across the face and threw me on the ground.
I struggled to catch my breath and tears ran down my face freely. I shouldn't have been born, I haven't done anything to deserve this at all.
Jasmine howled in pain in my head and I doubled over in pain clutching at my chest. I just want this to be over and done with, maybe when I die all these pain will go.
I heard mocking laughter above my head and looked up only to see Freya. Freya is the daughter of the current beta and soon to be Luna. She's everything I am not- beautiful blue eyes with shiny blonde hair, killer body, glowing skin, strong and extremely wicked.
She stood there with her minions looking at me with pity? I couldn't quite place what that emotion in her eye is. She laughed all of a sudden and kicked me in the stomach. She pulled my hair and slapped me making me fall back on the floor.

Chapter 1 One
“Would you like to do it, your Highness, or should I?” She looked at the Lycan King indifferently, whose lilac eyes of affection were suddenly intruded by confusion.
“Wh-what do you mean?” He asked as he tried to concentrate on the beautiful voice of the woman in front of him, his mate. He was here for a meet-and-greet session that he dreaded. The worst thing was that this session among Alphas, Lunas and their Gammas from every pack in existence was to last for the entire night! ‘Why couldn’t they just skip this night and officially start the one-month collaboration tomorrow?’, the King thought to himself every year.
She raised her eyebrows as she studied his expression, “Huh. You do look genuinely confused.”
His eyebrows furrowed, confused and irritated now, “Again, what do you mean? And what is your name?”
The Alphas, Lunas and the best warrior of each pack, called Gammas, just arrived and he, as their benevolent King, was here to greet them. Although, if he were given a choice, this King would have rather been going through the reports of rogue attacks that were steadily piling up on his desk. He couldn’t wait to get the night over with. If he made his rounds quickly enough, he would still reach home on time to get through three or four files before bed. But when he walked through the doors of the gathering hall, his impatience, reluctance and pure hate for the meet-and-greet vaporized in an instant.
“My name is Lucianne Freesia Paw, your Highness. I take it that you’re going to do it, then?” She said simply. To the King, her name felt like the first spring breeze after many long months of harsh winter, the soft light penetrating through the grey clouds, the breath of life in a cold, dark world.
“Do what?” His confusion couldn’t be masked even if he tried. He felt like his mate was already ten feet away when he had only taken the first step.

Chapter 1 1
As the night progressed, smoke grew denser in the air.
Since starting as a bartender at the crowded bar a month ago, Aislinn worked her way down the line of customers, filling drink orders as she went. She had taken the job when she first arrived in town, and her sleazy boss Derrick was more than happy to hire her.
He had recently lost a bar tender and Aislinn was above average in appearance even if she didn't think so.
When Aislinn had applied to the job, he hadn't even asked if she could mix drinks. He figured that he could teach that.
She wasn't a super model but she was attractive in a strange way and she was better than the nothing that he had.
Derrick was at the far end of the bar talking with some regulars. Aislinn had learned relatively quickly to keep space between herself and Derrick.
Derrick was an ass.
He was always grabbing her and making lewd comments.
In this place the best spot to be in was behind the bar where the only person who could grab you was Derrick.
Anywhere else and you were fair game for all the jerks who came in the place.
He had even attacked her once. But she had slugged him and gotten away.
The other people she worked with were mostly nice. Kelly was really the only bitch and that was because Aislinn had gotten the job Kelly had wanted.
Kelly figured that she had been there longer, had devoted her time and deserved the bartender job. When Derrick gave it to Aislinn, he had made Kelly a permanent enemy for her.

Chapter 1 Welcome Home Mate
ROXIE
I couldn’t help but stare out of the taxi window as we approached my home.
I have been away from my pack, the Blue Shadow Moon Pack, for nearly six years.
I was sent away by the alpha’s son. I was supposed to come home after a year, but I didn’t want to return. I didn’t want to see the idiot who hurt my feelings.
For the last few years, I have stayed in my uncle’s pack, The Crimson Forest pack. It was an eye-opening experience. The training was intense, but I excelled at the top of the class. The alpha had every member train at the age of fourteen, which in the Blue Shadow Moon pack, you couldn’t start training till the age of sixteen.
The forest comes into view, pulling me out of my thoughts, and the taxi takes the turn towards the pack. I could sense wolves in the forest.
I couldn’t help but sigh; this is going to be complicated.
The alpha’s son Lex. His full name is Alexander Morgan, but everyone calls him Lex. I don’t; I never have. I always call him Alexander, as I know it pisses him off. He’s my brother’s best friend. They are six years older than me, making them the right age to find their mates.
Speaking of mates, I thought my mate would be in my uncle’s pack, but he wasn’t there. The age of finding our mates is nineteen. I could find mine now, as I’ve just turned twenty, but I haven’t. I have to admit, everyone wants their mate to be a virgin, but I didn’t wait. I knew whoever I ended up with had probably been with other people, and I don’t like the stereotypes where they have to wait for their soulmate, especially women; what if I didn’t find my mate till I was twenty-nine? I would be the oldest virgin known to man, especially in the werewolf community. I would be the laughing stock of the whole pack.

Chapter 1 1
It was late at night. A big black Lincoln SUV drove into a fancy castle in a very expensive neighborhood.
Inside the castle, Bella Reed couldn't see because her eyes were covered with a silky blindfold. She wasn't allowed to know who was with her.
"Don't be scared. Take deep breaths," Bella whispered to herself. She knew it was important to help her dad get a new liver, even if it meant sacrificing a little. She had to keep convincing and comforting herself.
Bella couldn't ignore the sound of the car entering the castle. She had no choice but to keep talking to herself, trying to stay calm.
When Alpha Lucian Craig walked in, Bella noticed him even though she couldn't see. He was tall and looked strong. She greeted him nervously while taking a step back.
Bella had tried to prepare herself mentally for this, but she was still scared when it actually happened. She felt weak and wanted to run away.
Alpha Lucian didn't know if what he was doing was right, but he had to find a woman and have a kid before his next birthday, as his father demanded. He saw Bella as a young girl standing in his room.
"Why are you afraid?" he asked Bella. His voice was deep, calm, and captivating.
Bella was surprised by his voice. She wondered how someone middle-aged could have such a beautiful voice.
"I don't have any diseases or weird desires," he reassured her. He wanted her to know that she didn't have to be shy but that she was scared of him.

Chapter 1 1
Bella woke up feeling extremely ill. Xavier was not beside her in bed, and she struggled to walk due to dizziness. She hurried to the bathroom and began vomiting, realizing she had a fever. Bella thought that it might just be the flu, but as a werewolf with royal lineage, she doubted it could make her so sick.
After a few minutes of throwing up, Bella's personal maid heard her and rushed to her aid. "Luna, are you feeling unwell?" she asked, worried.
Assisting her in standing up, the maid asked, "Should I call the Alpha? He did not return last night. He informed the beta, that he is on a business trip and will be back tomorrow. But I should inform him about your condition."
Shaking her head, Bella replied, "No need. I'm sure it's just the flu." However, the maid suggested something unexpected, "What if you're pregnant?"
Surprised, Bella widened her eyes, hoping it could be true. She had been trying to conceive without success due to a reproductive issue. Deciding to confirm her suspicions, she decided to call the hospital and schedule an appointment with her doctor. Bella changed into casual clothes, a dress suitable for the pack's gynecologist examination. Ever since humans and werewolves coexisted after the treaty, they shared facilities like hospitals and shopping centers. While werewolves had the option to contact the police, they usually preferred reaching out to their own authorities if they encountered danger or a criminal rogue. Considering she had struggled for three years to conceive, Bella opted to stick with one doctor and focus on her treatment.

Chapter 1 1
What in God’s name was that smell?
It wasn’t a bad smell, mused a slowly waking Italia, whose eyelids were too heavy to fully open. It wasn’t a smell that belonged to her bed though, of that she was certain. Her sleep-fogged brain was able to conclude three things. One, the smell was actually a person’s scent – the most delicious scent: fresh pine, spring rain, and cedar wood. Two, the alluring scent belonged to a male. And three, the male was a wolf-shifter, just like Italia. But Italia Furrows did not sneak strangers into the pack house, even if they did smell incredible.
Forcing a single tired eye open, she took a peak at her surroundings and was able to confirm that the mystery male had in fact long gone. She turned to glance at her alarm clock, or she would have done if it hadn’t done a disappearing act. Along with her wardrobe, bedside table and TV. Oh and these silky sheets beneath her, they were definitely not her sheets.
She sat up and cursed. Nope, this definitely wasn’t her room. In fact, she wasn’t even in her home. Warily scanning her surroundings, her eyes widened in not only response to the luxury around her, but also the realisation that she was inside what appeared to be a… cave? Not a stone age type of cave though, oh hell no. The light-cream sandstone walls were all perfectly smooth apart from the occasional niche that was being used as a mini shelf.
The floors were covered with plush grey carpets that looked incredibly soft. To the left, there was a very masculine-style triple wardrobe and a large set of draws, both a dark oak that matched the headboard of the platform bed. The bed itself was under a smooth arch that had been moulded into the cave, making it cozy despite the enormity of the bed. Although, it wasn’t cozy enough for her to be enjoying this weird ass scenario.

Chapter 1 PROLOGUE— THE BEGINNING AS MUCH AS THE END
—
Beware... For happiness does not last for eternity. It comes, but when it goes, sadness descends with severity.
—
Celeste blew out a breath of adoration, eyes trained on the handsome boy standing with a tall masculinity on the podium.
His lips were drawn into a thin line, his expression as blank as a sheet of paper and yet his beauty outranked every werewolf standing on the meeting grounds; both men and women.
Celeste wasn't sure how he did it, but every single thing he did made her heart flutter and her legs weak. He was the centre of her attention despite the many other people scattered around the vicinity.
His eyes...
His lips...
His body...
Every single aspect of him called out to her, but in what way could she respond?
Certainly not by confessing that she had many times drooled while watching him and certainly not by hunting him a darn rabbit!
But either way she chose to respond, it was no secret that he was out of her league; for one, he was the future alpha of this pack and added to that ball of misfortune, was the fact that he was her sister's boyfriend.
Tonight, twelve o'clock on the dock, would be the day they officially became mates.
You see, tomorrow was his birthday, the day he'd be able to scent his true mate and the celebration was on the brink of starting.
