MARRIED TO A CELEBRITY Chapter 1 ONE

^Leah's Pov^

I wiggled my butt staring at the TV as Javier played on.

** If our love was a story book, we would meet on the very first page.

**The last chapter would be about how... I'm thankful for the life we made.

**And if we had babies they would have your eyes, I would fall deeper watching you give you life.

** You don't even know how very special you are......

**You leave me breathless..... you're everything good in my life

**You leave me breathless.... I still can't believe that you're mine.....

I sang at the top of my voice. The song wasn't his but his remix was so much better. I shook my butt wishing and praying that one day he would sing this very song to me.

Okay, a little introduction. I'm Leah Thompson, a graduate from one of the not so prestigious universities of California. I work as a waitress at a restaurant and I live with my roommate so the rent can be split in half. My parents died when I was little, I wasn't so lucky to get adopted at the orphanage so I left when I was 18.

Luckily, I was able to go to college so now I'm 22, one of the working class ladies. Speaking of my roommate....

"Kyla...." I yell at the top of my voice.

"Are you done idolising your idol, your voice sounds like a broken record." She spat out playfully. I chuckle in response before giving her the finger.

"Am already late for work. I'll see you later."

I grab my bag before leaving the house inhaling the fresh scent of a new day.

"I have a good feeling about today. It's going to be wonderful."

**Javier's Pov**

"I asked for a medium sized soda, not a big sized. What if I'm too bloated to sing huh! Get lost, you're fired!"

I yell at his face, I drop the soda on the floor and turn away angrily.

"Incompetent fools" I hissed a little too loudly and my manager walked in.

"Javier, that has to be the second one you've lost this week. You need to be patient."

"I hate clumsy people, it's not my fault they are all incompetent."

I focused on what I was doing and he shook his head.

"Alright, have you thought about what I proposed?"

"Tom, you gave me a choice between my music and my single life. Besides, marriage doesn't mean I can't screw whomever I want so what did you think I'd pick."

I say sarcastically.

"Well, that's amazing then. Who do you want, super model, Actress. Name it."

"Definately not, I want someone who's plain. A girl who isn't pretty, someone who wouldn't get too attached also, has good manners and all. Someone I can tolerate, who's definately not a theif because Once the deal's over,I'm dumping her." I said with no remorse.

"Alright, I'll work on finding someone."

"Today,I want to get this done as soon as possible."

"Alright,I'll get right on it."

"Who ever that girl is, she's going to have the worse year of her life, I'll make sure I transfer the agression I have in me for doing this to her." I said mentally making a promise to myself.

**Leah's Pov**

"Thank you, come again."

I says as sweetly as possible getting ready for the next customer.

"Good morning, I would like a big belly burger."

He requests. From his dressing, I can tell he's very rich and important. I shrugged it off and focus on taking his order.

Afterward, I hand it over to him waiting for the payment.

"Keep the change." He says making me gasp. He turns around and walks away but suddenly his wallet drops.

"Umm Sir...."

I call out but he was already moving. I rush and pick it up dashing outside. He was getting into his car about to leave.

"Sir!" I yell at the top of my voice raising it high. His eyes twinkle in recognition and he walks up to me.

"Thank you for this, I had an important card in it. I don't know what I would've done without it."

"He doesn't even care about the money in it?" I wondered.

"Umm here's some..." I place my hands in front of him cutting him short.

"I don't need your money sir. Consider it my good deed for the day." He chuckles lightly staring at me.

"And you are?"

"Leah Anderson." I respond with a grin.

"Leah Anderson, I have a proposal for you. Might sound strange but how would you like to get married."

My eyes pop out and I almost laugh at his words. His next sentence sends all my laughter back down.

"To Javier Thompson." He adds as my mouth literally falls open.......

I stood in the darkest corner of the Pierre Hotel’s ballroom, my cheap polyester dress itching against my skin while my wristband buzzed with a DARPA Priority Red alert. In front of the city’s elite, my fiancé Bryce Calloway took the stage, not to toast our future, but to publicly end our engagement and announce he was with my sister, Chloe. The room turned on me instantly, a hundred pairs of eyes pinning me down with pity and disgust as they physically backed away like I was contagious. When I returned home, my mother shattered a crystal vase at my feet, screaming that I was a humiliation and a "dropout" who didn't deserve a cent of the family fortune. Chloe and Bryce mocked me, laughing when I told them I had a mission with the National Security Agency, convinced I was either a pathological liar or a low-level criminal. They watched in horror as a black, unmarked military helicopter descended on our backyard to extract me, yet they still chose to believe I was being arrested for drug trafficking. They saw a pathetic girl who couldn't even parallel park, never realizing I was Dr. Nova Vance, the lead physicist behind the world's first successful fusion reactor. To secure funding for my research and gain a "fortress" of a name, I signed a thirty-day marriage contract with the arrogant billionaire Roman Knight. He treats me like a fraud, convinced I’m a gold-digger who failed out of college, while I quietly run global energy simulations from his guest bedroom. He has no idea that the "loser" he’s forced to live with is the same anonymous grandmaster who has been ruthlessly crushing him in online strategy games for months. "The contract is active," I told him, looking past his expensive suit. "But don't expect me to be your maid."

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.

The rain in Detroit was slick with grime when my family finally came to fetch me. They didn't want a reunion; they wanted a sacrificial lamb to marry into the Kaufman empire to save their failing business. I thought I was just being sold off, but the limo ride ended under a dark overpass where six hired thugs were waiting with chains. My own sister had ordered them to "break my spirit" so I’d be a shaking, pathetic mess by the time I reached the altar. They called me "Detroit trash" and sprayed air freshener when I sat on their leather seats. My stepmother wanted a video of me begging for my life, and my father was ready to trade me like a used car to a man everyone called a "vegetable." They expected a submissive country girl, unaware that I was a high-level "cleaner" who could snap a radius bone before they could even scream. When I finally reached the Kaufman estate, I found my fiancé, Barron, slumped in a wheelchair, drooling and silent. But as soon as the doors closed, the "invalid" grabbed my wrist with a grip of iron and whispered a command that changed everything. I didn't understand why my own blood was so desperate to see me destroyed. What had I ever done to deserve a hit squad and a forced marriage to a man they thought was a corpse? But Barron isn't a vegetable, and I'm not a victim. We just touched down at the Moon family gala in a matte-black helicopter, and as the doors slide open, the "broken" bride is about to show them exactly what happens when you throw away the wrong daughter. "If we're going to crash a party," Barron whispered, his eyes burning with lethal clarity, "we should make an entrance."
