Silent Pain

ZOE'S POV.......

People say life is full of unbelievable surprises, well yeah, I'm actually surprised right now, turning to Lucy, my best friend, I exclaimed; Is this for REAL, pinch me right now, she just gave me a shrug, "well Congratulations bestie, I knew you would be shortlisted". I just received my admission letter that I've been admitted to study Medicine and Surgery at the most prestigious University in my Country. Lucy was also admitted to study Mass communication and language studies, well it has always been her dream to be a journalist.

School resumed a month after receiving my admission letter

Stepping into the Prestigious University, I am overwhelmed with feelings. "Remember everything I have been saying since morning honey, and Never skip your meal" nagged my mom (my angel) for the umpteenth time, well I know she has her reasons, I surfer from peptic ulcer disease, I always forget to eat especially when I'm reading, yeah I love reading a lot. "Noted mum" I replied her before moving my luggage to my dormitory. After settling down our luggages at the assigned room, we (freshmen) were called to the students union building to complete our documentation.

Good news Zoey, Lucy squealed. I'm all ears, I replied her though I was trying to make my expression look expectant, deep down I was indifferent, I know Lucy's good news are hmmmm. How do I say it? And there she goes, "Dudes in this school are handsome, Oh my God, I just feel like taking them home" she made a fainting gesture.

I just gave her a bored look. I'm serious Zoey, she continues. Alright fine, let's finish our documentation quickly, let's go to KFC after leaving here, I said, quickly diverting her attention. Sorry I forgot to tell you, Lucy is a lover of ice cream.

On getting to mine and Lucy's turn for documentation, Zoey look up, lucy exclaimed, and then I raised my head, in front of me was a guy, who is assisting freshmen in arranging their documents, and when our eyes met, I was glued on spot..........
