DOUBLE TROUBLES Chapter 1 Introduction

In the city of Sunnyvale, there lived a family who owned a small clothing store downtown. We had the father " Mr. Antonio Torres, the mom" Mrs. Idris Torres with their daughters " Ivanna and Juliana Torres", although they were sisters, both had different personalities that remarkably distinguish them.

Ivanna Torres, known as the party diva, goes to all the parties all over town with her friends, and surprisedly, she was known by all. Abruptly She wasn't the studying type, as it gives her no pleasure in it. She would prefer partying than study, irrespective of her parent's guidance and support, to her it was and I quote " time-wasting", apart from partying the second thing Ivanna liked was fashion, she dreams of owning a clothing empire. Whereas Julia Torres, known as the book worm of the family, loves reading and it gives her pleasure in it, I won't say she didn't find other things fun, she did but loved spending her free time watching documentaries

Everything time, she tunes in to watch, Ivanna grumbles, saying it was too boring, our Ivanna hated watching that with her and miss out on a chance to watch her K-Pop drama.

Ivanna graduated from high school, due to the pleadings from her parents, whereas Julianna not only graduated from high school but also a graduate of the interior designing at Lowell university.

Life decided to push them at opposite sides with the entrance of a young, tall, muscular, blue-eyed, 29-year-old eligible bachelor "Derick Green", as he infiltrates their life when he moved new to town in order to get away from his old life and start a new one. Derick Green plays the role of arousing the good, worst, and the demons in the lives of both girls.

(STORY)

It was another Saturday morning, birds chirping, leaves swriling and Ivanna was still fast asleep, with no possible vigor of getting up, when she heard a big slam on her ears, that shoved her off the bed to the floor laying flat on her face.

" Good morning Ivanna", she screamed, holding two stainless steel Chuckling at her.

Ivanna raged with anger, peeking at her with a scheme of action for the stunt she pulled, hence Juliana figured it out and ran downstairs with Ivanna hot on her tails.

Stop it", their mom yelled at them, but Ivanna was headstrong to teaching her sister a lesson. Julianna realized who her sister was and apologize to her but still, Ivanna wanted a payback, but was halted by her dad .

A few moments later Mrs. Torres announced it was time for breakfast and they were all sited at the dining room with the food placed at the center.

Mrs. Torres sat down and they all jammed their hands to pray. Ivanna couldn't wait for the prayers to end and the moment it did, she lunges in like a hungry lion, shoving her face with the food.

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch—a titan of industry and my best friend’s father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

I was sitting in the Presidential Suite of The Pierre, wearing a Vera Wang gown worth more than most people earn in a decade. It was supposed to be the wedding of the century, the final move to merge two of Manhattan's most powerful empires. Then my phone buzzed. It was an Instagram Story from my fiancé, Jameson. He was at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris with a caption that read: "Fuck the chains. Chasing freedom." He hadn't just gotten cold feet; he had abandoned me at the altar to run across the world. My father didn't come in to comfort me. He burst through the door roaring about a lost acquisition deal, telling me the Holland Group would strip our family for parts if the ceremony didn't happen by noon. My stepmother wailed about us becoming the laughingstock of the Upper East Side. The Holland PR director even suggested I fake a "panic attack" to make myself look weak and sympathetic to save their stock price. Then Jameson’s sleazy cousin, Pierce, walked in with a lopsided grin, offering to "step in" and marry me just to get his hands on my assets. I looked at them and realized I wasn't a daughter or a bride to anyone in that room. I was a failed asset, a bouncing check, a girl whose own father told her to go to Paris and "beg" the man who had just publicly humiliated her. The girl who wanted to be loved died in that mirror. I realized that if I was going to be sold to save a merger, I was going to sell myself to the one who actually controlled the money. I marched past my parents and walked straight into the VIP holding room. I looked the most powerful man in the room—Jameson’s cold, ruthless uncle, Fletcher Holland—dead in the eye and threw the iPad on the table. "Jameson is gone," I said, my voice as hard as stone. "Marry me instead."

I Slapped My Fiancé-Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.
