Banished to an alternate dimension known as Parabola at a young age for releasing and becoming a host for the omniscient demon, Lilith, Olivia Cult masters her skills as a witch detective to combat supernatural threats that plague the human world and Parabola under the jurisdiction of the inter-dimensional police force, L.I.F.E. Although she yearns to one day reunite with her family, she soon receives a bittersweet opportunity to once again interact in the human world when a sinister occult of supernatural creatures known as The Blessing incapacities most of her allies and threatens to achieve I'm a get an on earth. Olivia must investigate the human world to find The Blessing and stop their plan while also keeping a distance from the family that abandoned her. But she will soon be put to the test tube to determine if she can achieve one of her goals without sacrificing the other.
"Don't waste time praying," says Olivia Cult, a red-haired sixteen-year-old.
The teenager boldly walked into the light dim room, standing at 5'9 feet and wearing a white trench coat with red flames on her collars and lower half of her coat. On her left, red collar was a golden "L". Her pants were black with red flames on the bottom and brown shoes underneath.
Her skin was a smooth light brown complexion, and her eyes were sky blue.
The 6'0-foot pastor was dressed in a black robe with a brown, wooden cross hanging from his neck. His white hair combed back as sweat poured from his forehead and his lips being repetitively licked by his tongue.
"How can you ask this of a man of God?" Asks Pastor Elliot as
sweat formed around his hands. He turned around to look.
at whom had snuck up behind him. "Oh my, are you hiding anything under that trench coat?"
"I can smell the sins coming off you."
"You must be mistaken child. Perhaps you need my holy guidance." Pastor Elliot grinned as he held his hands together. "I've helped many teenage girls who have had religious conflicts in the past.
"By help, you mean drug and rape them?"
Anger surface on Pastor Elliot's face as he pulled a shiny
dagger from his pocket. It sailed toward Olivia's head as she calmly took one step back away from his blade.
"As a kid, I never liked people who came to church. Most of them were corrupt religious figures who took advantage of poor people in my villa. But no matter how sleazy they were, they all had one thing in common: Their souls were all tainted with lies and deceit."
Pastor Elliot's hands shook as he took several steps away from the young redhead until he bumped into his wooden desk.
"The real pastor has been dead for several months. Who are you?"
"I'm Pastor Elliott, spiritual leader of the First Church of New Oxville,"
"Sure, and I'm the tooth fairy." "Olivia smirked as she cracked her knuckles. Every supernatural creature or Folklore if you want to be politically correct, that leaves Parabola and causes trouble in the human world must be arrested or executed.
"Parabola? "
"As in the dimension where Folklore like us belong. I show up now and then to take out scum like you. "
"Your lies and are not welcome in the house of the lord, Young lady. You insult my integrity with these ridiculous accusations."
"Really?" The red-headed girl took out a perfume bottle and sprayed it towards him.
"What are you doing?"
"Just freshening up the place. I hate the stench of death."
The pastor pressed himself against his desk as his arm still trembled by the oddly calm teenage girl.
"You are insane, Child. I must ask you to leave immediately," The terrified pastor shed sweat from the crown of his head. as his knees took on a rattling presence.
"Sure. But first, I think it is a little too dim in this room,"
The girl pulled out a lighter from her coat pocket and flicked it.
its handle, sparking a small fire. "What are you doing?"
"What do you say we lighten this place up a bit?"
She stretched out her arm, holding the lighter in her hand. She played with the lighter while her hostage's skin paled. "Your vile bitch," The demonized imposter lunged toward the girl with his dagger exposed.
"Ha, this never gets old. "
"Lapis in transform," Olivia formed an arc with her hands. A purple stream of energy propelled the demon to the wooden tiles of the church floor.
The demon's body slowly hardened into stone and his body stuck to the ground.
"You... what have you done to me? "Simple binding spell. "
"Should have told you this sooner. I am a witch. "
"Who are you?" The pastor asked as he took his last breath.
"What a pity I never introduced myself, "Olivia giggled. "I'm Olivia.
Cult, Witch Detective of the Lazarus Internal Force Espionage. But most people call us L.I.F.E.,"
Olivia left the room and tossed the lighter behind her. The fragrance from her perfume bottle ignited the flames which destroyed the church. Olivia teleported herself several feet outside the church. Her body appeared from a red and purple burst surrounded by a winter landscape.
outside of the burnt-down church.
Before she teleported again, Olivia cracked a smirk on her face and uttered: "Hallelujah."
Moments later, Olivia arrives in the Sanctum Aurora, headquarters of L.I.F.E., feeling proud she accomplished her mission.
"Another busy day at the office," Olivia said while she walked through a crowd of flying imps and towering trolls. She passed vampires, fairies, ghosts, and zombies.
Olivia traveled through the sanctum, where she met a six-foot, short-haired Chinese girl. This girl wore a police uniform and carried a stack of paperwork.
"Hey Jill, how's the afterlife kicking? "Olivia asked.
"Better than yours will be if you forget to hydrate my tulips again," Jill responded. She followed Olivia to the stairs.
"Come on, Jill. They are just flowers. What is the big deal?"
"Those flowers are the only thing that gave me joy when I was alive. I am dead, but I would like them alive, Olivia. You know that every time I try to touch something solid without
concentrating hard, that object goes right through me or phase as the living call it. Hell, I can barely keep my grip on these ..."
Jill phased through another agent climbing down on the stairs, causing her to lose her grip on the stack of papers that she carried.
Before the stack of papers fell, the officer used his magic, levitated the documents, and froze each page in place.
"Hey. Watch it," Sam Ethol said.
"You watch it," Jill responded.
"Easy, Sam," Olivia said, taking the files from him. "We can't all be a perfect voodooist like you."
"Cute, Cult. "Sam responded.
"I cannot stand that guy," Jill said.
"Get real," Olivia commented. "You got the hots for him."
"WHAT? "Screamed Jill, covering her mouth.
The rest of the group abruptly halted.
"Nothing to see here. "Olivia waved them off.
The rest of the force continued working, but the two girls continued their conversation.
"I do not have the hots for Sam. He is a total douchebag. "Jill whispered.
"My point exactly, you love douchebags, "Olivia teased. "You two have a thing for each other."
"You're crazy. I cannot even touch living things without possessing them. "Jill said.
"Sounds like another excuse," Olivia commented.
"Detective Cult? "A muscular, green-skinned goblin-man approached Olivia. He wore a green trench coat, silver boots, grey pants, a white shirt, and a red tie. He carried a wooden staff with a volleyball size eyeball on the top.
"Yes, Captain Moss."
"Detectives Cult and Willows, report to my office!"
"I said now," Moss repeated.
"Sir, yes sir,"
Nervous about what trouble they might have caused and their teeth chattering, Olivia and Jill continued to climb the stairs leading to the Captain's main office.
