Chapter 1 The Begining

ROMANTIC DOCTOR

Episode 1

"I'm not gonna marry him mom...and that's final!" Jocelyn yelled, walking away from her mom who followed her immediately.

"You are gonna marry him because he's the man we've chosen for you!" Angeline snapped.

Jocelyn turned around to look at her. "I don't love Adam mom. I don't! Why is it so hard for you to understand? Huh?"

"Marrying Adam will only strengthen our families Jocelyn. It's only be going to increase our fame and popularity."

"That's all you ever care about mom! Why are you treating me this way? I'm your only daughter!"

"Of more reason why we want you to get married to a guy of our status. A guy who's worthy of becoming your man."

"So...it doesn't matter if I love him or not?" Jocelyn asked.

"Get married to him first and you will start loving him after that."

"You are unbearable mom." Jocelyn shook her head and left the house.

She got into her car downstairs and zoomed out of the massive compound.

She drove slowly on the road, so mad at everything.

She was only 23 but her mother was already forcing her to get married to the most arrogant man she's ever seen on Earth.

"Damn that b*stard. I don't know why he won't get the hell out of our lives! I don't love him. Is that too hard to understand?" Jocelyn asked herself.

She looked at herself in the rearview mirror and sighed.

Although flustered, she still looked as gorgeous and pretty as ever.

Jocelyn had this elegant beauty that drew so much attention to herself. She has gotten so used to the attention already.

But unfortunately, she couldn't believe that her mother was urging her to settle down with an arrogant cock.

*

She finally stopped the car in front of a house and switched off the engine before coming out.

Jocelyn walked to the main entrance of the house and walked in. She got into the living room and saw two of her friends chatting loudly and having drinks.

"Jocelyn!" Paula and Dianne called, a little bit surprised to see her.

Jocelyn didn't say a word as she sat on a sofa, looking pissed off.

"Are you okay?" Dianne asked, going to the bar to get another bottle of wine.

"It's my mom guys. She wouldn't stop pressuring me to marry that jerk." Jocelyn said angrily.

"Oh boy." Paula mumbled and buried her head in her palms.

Dianne returned with the wine and poured some of the drink in a glass for Jocelyn. "Take dear and come down. You don't have to get worked up all because of that."

"What can I do! That woman won't stop until she achieves her aim! I hate that guy with passion. He's not even handsome." Jocelyn sobbed as she gulped down the whole of her drink.

Her friends sat beside her, giving her the comfort she needed.

Jocelyn got home and met her mom waiting for her in the living room. She tried walking past her but the woman stopped her.

"Stop right there young lady. Where are you coming from?"

"Where else? I've been with Diane and Paula." She replied.

"After walking away from our discussion? Why have you become so spoilt?" Angeline snapped.

Jocelyn turned to look at her. "Well I've always been spoilt mom because you made that possible. I'm only getting worse all because of you!"

"Shut that mouth up." Angeline warned.

"I'm going to my room. I've had a very stressful day." Jocelyn said and walked away straight to her room.

Jocelyn got into her big room, took off her shoes and laid flat on the bed.

She sobbed, really sad about what was about happening to her.

All her life, she had always wanted a cute guy who would love her so much like his own life.

She remembered her first meeting with Adam and shook her head as more tears came out.

It had been so boring and frustrating with his stupid thick hair and beard.

Although he was nice to her, she hated the way he talked to the waitress who served them.

"He's got a horrible voice!" Jocelyn cried out, kicking her legs in the air.

After crying for a while, she slept off.

***Three weeks later***

Adam Dixon stepped out majestically from his car as soon as his bodyguard opened up the door.

He looked around as he stood, adjusting his tie. As usual, that arrogant look was sitting in his face.

He was standing in front of Jocelyn's house. They were having a date and he had come to pick her.

Adam turned to look at Carl, his bodyguard. "Go and inform my pretty angel that I'm here for her." He spoke with confidence as he looked at Carl.

"Yes boss. Right away." Carl said. He turned to go but the main entrance to the house opened and Jocelyn showed up.

She stood in front of the door, glaring hard at Adam. She came down from the front lawn and walked down the driveway to meet him.

"You are finally here. I was waiting for you." Adam said, moving closer to her.

Jocelyn scoffed and moved back. "Really? Don't you ever get tired?"

Adam's brows raised. "Get tired of what?"

"Showing your ugly face in front of me? I really can't believe you had a meeting with my mom to force me on a date I don't wanna go!"

"You are My wife to be and you won't talk to me like that!" Adam snapped.

Jocelyn stared at him, amazed and laughed. "Wife to be? Me?"

"Yes. You. There's nothing you can do about it. Now get into that car and let's go. We have a very romantic day ahead of us." Adam said, holding her hand.

"Let me go! You don't have to drag me!" Jocelyn yelled, yanking her hand from him.

Furiously, she walked towards the car.

My stepmother sold me like a piece of inventory to a man known for breaking people just to plug the financial crater my father left behind. I was delivered to the Morton estate in the middle of a freezing storm, stripped of my phone, and told that if I didn't make myself useful, my senile grandfather would be evicted from his care facility by noon. The master of the house, Adonis Morton IV, was a monster living in a silent mausoleum, driven to the brink of madness by a sensory condition that turned every sound into a physical assault. When I was forced into his suite to serve him, he didn't see a human being; he saw a source of agony. In a fit of animalistic rage, he pinned me to the wall and nearly strangled me to death just for the sound of a shattering teacup. I only survived by using my grandfather’s secret herbal blends and pressure-point therapy to force his overactive nervous system into a drugged sleep. But saving him was my greatest mistake. Instead of letting me go, Adonis moved me into a guest suite connected to his own bedroom by a hidden door. He didn't just want me as a servant; he needed me as a human white-noise machine to drown out the demons in his head. The nightmare deepened when he took the promissory note that defined my freedom and tore it into confetti. By destroying the debt, he destroyed my exit strategy. He replaced my maid’s uniform with a silver silk dress that clung to my skin but did nothing to hide the dark, ugly bruises his fingers had left on my neck. He branded me as his "primary care associate," a title that was nothing more than a gilded cage. I felt a sickening sense of injustice as he forced me to sign a contract that banned me from contacting other men and required me to sleep wherever he slept. He looked at me with a possessive heat, calling me his "medication" rather than a woman. My family had sold my body, but Adonis Morton was intent on owning my very presence, using my grandfather’s medical bills as a leash to keep me within twenty feet of him at all times. Standing in a neglected greenhouse with mud staining my expensive silk, I realized I was no longer a victim waiting for rescue. If I was going to be his medication, I would learn how to be his cure—or his undoing. I began clearing the weeds with a cold, calculated frenzy, determined to turn this prison into my laboratory. He thinks he has trapped a helpless girl, but I am going to pry open the cracks in his stone walls until his entire world comes crashing down.

I Slapped My Fiancé-Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.

I woke up in a blindingly white hotel penthouse with a throbbing headache and the taste of betrayal in my mouth. The last thing I remembered was my stepsister, Cathie, handing me a flute of champagne at the charity gala with a smile that didn't reach her eyes. Now, a tall, dangerously handsome man walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his hips. On the nightstand sat a stack of hundred-dollar bills. My stepmother had finally done it—she drugged me and staged a scandal with a hired escort to destroy my reputation and my future. "Aisha! Is it true you spent the night with a gigolo?" The shouts of a dozen reporters echoed through the heavy oak door as camera flashes exploded through the peephole. My phone lit up with messages showing my bank accounts were already frozen. My father was invoking the 'morality clause' in my mother’s trust fund, and my fiancé had already released a statement dumping me to marry my stepsister instead. I was trapped, penniless, and being hunted by the press for a scandal I hadn't even participated in. My own family had sold me out for a payday, and the man standing in front of me was the only witness who could prove I was innocent—or finish me off for good. I didn't have time to cry. According to the fine print of the trust, I had thirty days to prove my "rehabilitation" through a legal marriage or I would lose everything. I tracked the man down to a coffee shop the next morning, watching him take a thick envelope of cash from a wealthy older woman. I sat across from him and slid a napkin with a $50,000 figure written on it. "I need a husband. Legal, paper-signed, and convincing." He looked at the number, then at me, a slow, crooked smile spreading across his face. I thought I was hiring a desperate gigolo to save my inheritance. I had no idea I was actually proposing to Dominic Fields, the reclusive billionaire shark who was currently planning a hostile takeover of my father’s entire empire.

He Thought I Was A Doormat, Until I Ruined Him

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.
