Chapter 1 01

Thank you readers. This is one of my first books, please don't mind the grammatical errors...

This great Sunday morning, we gather home for our monthly lunch which we have every last Sunday of a month. My mother organized this after I had parked out of the house to the university. Now I have started working and I have my apartment. I practically have no time to come home. This lunch is a trick by my mother to see me, often. My father doesn't care that much, however, that is what he shows. I'm sure he was super happy with this idea of a Sunday reunion, though he has never shown it up. Anyway, we don't mind, we are used to his irritative gaze. My parents, junior brother, and I are seated at the dining table found in the dining room just beside the kitchen. We get served by the maid. We have two maids. One stays at home with my parents and one just came over to help clean the big house and later leaves. The maid who stayed home is an old woman, Mary. She has been working with my parents for years now. Even before my birthday. Mary is like my grandmother, she is hardworking and very respectful. Selfless, I can say!. And she is a damn good cook. Still, Mum often insists on cooking every meal for our monthly gathering by herself. It's her way to express her love. And I love it because she is a great cook, so is Mary, but it's always better to eat "Mama's food". Haha, yeah, I know it sounds discriminatory but what can I do?. Lol. The room is quiet as we are. Only noise from our utensils is echoing. I must admit, this is freaking. And one of the numerous reasons I prefer eating out or with friends. I'm not a fan of this tense atmosphere. "Grace, when will I be honored to see your boyfriend?." Mum, breaks through the silence, with a very hectic quest. I shudder and my stare widens with the fork going right into my throat, omg, I nearly slaughtered myself. I wasn't expecting that!. Her question is more of a slap into my face. (Me coughing!.) I frown and harden my mouth at her dam question. "Mum!... You will, when the right time comes. And for your information, you don't have to pest, me at any list auction. It doesn't help!." I keep scowling as I explain "That's true mum!. Give her some space!". My Junior brother Frank helps me cries out, only him, can feel my pains, right now. "Will you shut the hell up?!. Don't be stupid..., And what do you think you know about this?!. When elders speak, you keep quiet!." We all shudder at dad's huge, deep, and unexpected voice, which echoes more like a bomb explosion. Even the utensils twitched, nearly crumbling down to the ground. Can you imagine that?!. This is terrifying. Frank fumes in anger but he can't do anything nor say anything. All he can do right now is to stay quiet. I, personally, think it's the best thing to do. I don't wish for more of this eerie drama. All hold our breaths with our gaze fixed on Dad. I think, he caught sight of it. "A cup of tea!." With that, my dad walks out of the table to the living room while ordering the maid. We spontaneously breathe out as he leaves. I just want to leave. I'm tired of being scrutinized. I seriously hate this gathering, though I love catching a glimpse of my parents once in a while. Actually, I stayed in a metropolis very far from our family house. Though we are in the same town, our household is pretty far from the main city where my house is found. After we are all done eating, we move to the leaving room where our dad is already. Mum clenches me in her arms, I love the warmth. Yet, I discretely monitoring the watch on my left arm watch. It shows, 7 pm, I have to leave soon. Frank moved to his room, still pissed off by his dad. Who probably doesn't give a f*ck about it. It hurts but such is life. I discreetly pull my mother into the kitchen along with me. This renders her jester. "hahaha, Grace, any issues?." Weird she gets happy as I gently haul her along. She smiles heavily with her stare fixed on me. "Very cute", I tell myself. "Sorry, mum but I have to leave!. I just got an urgent text message from our company. We have an early meeting tomorrow!." I fling my stare off hers, and I boldly lie to her. It hurts me but I actually have to leave. She flinches, taking a step backward. "Why grace!... Why do you always manage to come up with something!. You promise to spend the night here!." She frowns and yells at me in a low tone. "Mum, please understand!." I try to yank her hand. She flinches. "It more than time for you to come work with us, in your father's firm. Stop rejecting my offer. If not for your father, but for my seek!. Baby, come back home!." She urges as she clenches my hands. I'm speechless, the look on her face melts my heart. I'm sorry to break her heart, but I can never work with my father. We are like water and fire, both can work together as one. One will always want to dominate over the other, causing lots of turmoil. And she knows it very well. Just now, my dad and I spent the whole day without offering a word to each other, and no one attempted to make an effort. " Mum... Anyway, I can't promise you anything but I will think over it!." I couldn't kill all the hopes in here just like that. I don't want her to suffer more. "Do it!." She huge me. "Be a good girl!." She perks me. "Of course, mum!." With that, I leave through the kitchen's back door. "Grace, won't you great your dad before leaving!." Mum, whispers with a startling facial expression. She can't believe it. I chuckle at her weird glance and her quest. "I love you, mum!." I wave at her as I enter my car. And I drive off. I drove to one secret club. A pervert club. It wasn't my initial destination as I left my parent's place, it changed on my way home. I couldn't help it. The clubs a secret place. To have an access to the club is complicated. Just a briefing, you have to write an application online to obtain a temporary login password and username to the website. After a couple of days as they destroy the very few personal information, you submitted in the initial application. You are asked to give an address and a fake address of preference for the shipping of your member card. It had a high level of privacy and security. The club is behind a Chinese restaurant. No one can imagine or even notice its existence, except the members. I love this place, I love experiencing new stuff in my sexual life. I hate having the same thing over and over again, it makes life so dreary and boring. Thou, I'm single, no boyfriend, but I'm always satisfied. As I reach the Chinese restaurant, I move straight to the toilet. By the toilet, there is a door written on it "For official use only!." I place my card on it and the door open. Leading to a long endless corridor with several doors. But I'm a member I know which door to take and my card can open all the doors, it can only open a specific one leading to the corridor to the club's door. I put on my mask. I finally enter. In the club, I'm given a cart, that matches that of a male in. I just have to find him. I mean, we have to find ourselves. The club was a mixture of heterosexual, homosexual, transgender, obese, etc... The best place for a one night stand. A place where you can do everything you want without being afraid of your reputation being damaged. We put on masks to hide our faces and this adds the fun. Haha, And we are all out for fun. I order four cups of cold vodka and I drink them spontaneously in gulps. Getting tipsy, I get up and move to the dance floor to shake my torso and to reduce the effects of alcohol in me. While dancing I hit a guy. I immediately turn to apologize. As I turn, we stare at each other. We notice that we have been matched together. He smiles though I can't see it. "Fantastic I didn't know it will be this easy to find you!." The guy keeps stares at the card hong on my neck. "Coincidence. Is it your first time here?!." I ask him while dancing, we are both dancing. He approaches his left ear to my mouth and I repeat my questions shouting. The music is to loud. "Yeah, it is, and you?." The guy retorts. "It's my 4th year in here!." I reply "OMG!." He screams in surprise. This makes me laugh. We danced for some time. Then he unexpectedly pushes me to his reserved room and he locks the door behind us. He gradually kisses me, sending his hands beneath my gown. I'm not wearing a pant, it so easier for him, his hand immediately feels the warmth of my private and its deep warm and very wet. His fingers are all sucked inside. Sticks in for a long while. I bend down, unzip, and send my hands inside his trousers. I feel the warmth and it is very exciting. I love it. It looks big. I can't control myself. I'm fully ready for him. I fly take out and put it in my mouth. It is long and it seems to wrap itself to my tongue. "Wow, wow!." We both rapidly undress each other and he pushes me hard on the bed. I lay on the bed widely spread my limbs. He brutally penetrates me. I loved the strength he uses to ride all the way. His sweat drops on my torso. And his muscles contracts. I place my hands on his arms to his broad abs and gently caress his muscles as he continuously rides me. I groan, louder and louder. After a couple of minutes, he falls into bed, we are both smiling and panting hard. This guy is great. I see this night won't be a wastage. great...

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.

I watched my husband sign the papers that would end our marriage while he was busy texting the woman he actually loved. He didn't even glance at the header. He just scribbled the sharp, jagged signature that had signed death warrants for half of New York, tossed the file onto the passenger seat, and tapped his screen again. "Done," he said, his voice devoid of emotion. That was Dante Moretti. The Underboss. A man who could smell a lie from a mile away but couldn't see that his wife had just handed him an annulment decree disguised beneath a stack of mundane logistics reports. For three years, I scrubbed his blood out of his shirts. I saved his family's alliance when his ex, Sofia, ran off with a civilian. In return, he treated me like furniture. He left me in the rain to save Sofia from a broken nail. He left me alone on my birthday to drink champagne on a yacht with her. He even handed me a glass of whiskey—her favorite drink—forgetting that I despised the taste. I was merely a placeholder. A ghost in my own home. So, I stopped waiting. I burned our wedding portrait in the fireplace, left my platinum ring in the ashes, and boarded a one-way flight to San Francisco. I thought I was finally free. I thought I had escaped the cage. But I underestimated Dante. When he finally opened that file weeks later and realized he had signed away his wife without looking, the Reaper didn't accept defeat. He burned down the world to find me, obsessed with reclaiming the woman he had already thrown away.

For seventeen years, I was the crown jewel of the Kensington empire, the perfect daughter groomed for a royal future. Then, a cream-colored envelope landed in my lap, bearing a gold crest and a truth that turned my world into ice. The DNA test result was a cold, hard zero percent-I wasn't a Kensington. Before the ink could even dry, my parents invited my replacement, a girl named Alleen, into the drawing room and treated me like a trespasser in my own home. My mother, who once hosted galas in my honor, wouldn't even look me in the eye as she stroked Alleen's arm, whispering that she was finally "safe." My father handed me a one-million-dollar check-a mere tip for a billionaire-and told me to leave immediately to avoid tanking the company's stock price. "You're a thief! You lived my life, you spent my money, and you don't get to keep the loot!" Alleen shrieked, trying to claw the designer jacket off my shoulders while my "parents" watched with clinical detachment. I was dumped on a gritty sidewalk in Queens with nothing but three trunks and the address of a struggling laborer I was now supposed to call "Dad." I traded a marble mansion for a crumbling walk-up where the air smelled of exhaust and my new bedroom was a literal storage closet. My biological family thought I was a broken princess, and the Kensingtons thought they had successfully erased me with a payoff and a non-disclosure agreement. They had no idea that while I was hauling trunks up four flights of stairs, my secret media empire was already preparing to move against them. As I sat on a thin mattress in the dark, I opened my encrypted laptop and sent a single command that would cost my former father ten million dollars by breakfast. They thought they were throwing me to the wolves, but they forgot one thing: I'm the one who leads the pack.
