THE QUEST

People could be seen running helter skelter, Avalon was in disarray, if nothing is done, Los Angeles would be affected, and in a twinkle of an eye it would get to the capital which is Carlifornia, the government had tried it's possible best to bring an end to the ongoing turmoil, employing different scientific means, but it was all futile,every one was fed up already, they just don't know were or how to go.

It looks like life was hell for them, why would evil strive so much in these certain days.

The citizens of Avalon were left to survive on their own, all hope was lost, but there was this set of people who believed all that was happening, had been recorded in time past, they believed that the solutions to the problem they are facing now, can't come out of science,they knew science has failed whofully..

They held on to this belief, which their patriachs told them.

At first they were reluctant to believe, but after much effort by science to stop this present day evil, and it didn't work, then they decided that it all depends on something more than the earth can offer, it all depends on something science and technology can't give or offer.

After much problems, loved ones be killed, business destroyed, properties worth fortunes be destroyed.

The people of Avalon decided to take the bull by the horn, to find a solution to the problem, they are going through in their land, wherether be it through science or another means they were ready to find such solution, even if it means traveling to another planet to get the solution, they were ready to do so. They were all desperate to find a solution, this desperation was found in everyone, even to the least person among them.

It got to a point that, schools made it compulsory for teachers to discuss solution skills, in school, they were so desperate to find solutions.

They even went as far as contacting their foes, for help, at this point no one mattered, only the solution mattered.

The had even sent people on assignment to study in develop countries in other to gain knowledge to combat such situations.

Everyone was sleeping in the night, then suddenly, they heard a blast, everyone sprang up to their feet, looking for safety, houses were being set on fire, humans were being killed, women ran forgetting their children.

Father ran forgetting their family members, what mattered was getting to safety first.

Those who could find safety, prayed that the place they called safety, isn't the reason for their death.

They could hear the cry of women and children, the could see the heavy smoke ascending the air.

But their tomentors, seems to grow and increase day by day.

They kept on making life unbearable for the people of Avalon, due to their mighty power, they were able to terrorize the people of Avalon.

Each time they invaded, they counted it fun, seeing humans cry and wail.

This would go on till six in the morning.

When the day dawn, people could be seen in tears, either due to death of loved ones, destruction of properties, or the bad news that flies about in the air.

This would go on every month, no month passes by without such event happening in Avalon.

It became a normal routine to them, always expecting the worst to come.

It crush every form of hope, even those in power were handicap, they knew they couldn't do anything.

Doomers, I am glad with your recent actions, I must confess that our master is happy with us. Doomers don't get carried away, there's still allot to be done, very soon, our actions and missions will be taking a new shape, we would be going beyond Avalon and if possible take over the whole country and before you know it, USA will be ours.

We must start planning and preparing for these feat, Dark sage wants global relevance and he doesn't want to slow down now.

He commends you all for doing a good job, but you have allot to do.

Now doomers, follow me as I unveil to you a mind blowing news.

What would this be? One of them asked, well you would soon find out for your self.

They journey into a dark room, as they entered, they could see humans working on a huge machine, why are humans here?

Well dark sage asked for them to be here, these ones were captured to work for us. You see that gigantic machine, it's a massive project ordered by dark sage, it's going to be instrumental for our next mission.

It's able to cause fatal damage to any location, distance is not a barrier, it can go as far as any length to get it's job done.

It has the abilities of long range bullets, it can become invisible, it has the ability to kill a thousand in just a minute.

So let's call it our mission war ship, one of them asked.

Well we need something to make it work and what is that? they all asked.

We need one thousand human bones, and precisely infants bones.

These bones are very vital for the operation of the engine, we don't really know if that one thousand bones will be enough, but if we get those one thousand, then we would know, If we need more or not.

The doomers had a short meeting, they looked for where to attack such as to get the required bones.

They decided to attack a little city in India, due to its high maternity rate.

They went back to their base, kitted up and headed for the country.

When they got there it was night already, they looked for the nearest hospital, which they located easily.

They mounted the roof of the building and waited for the mid wives to leave the room, after thirty minutes, they left, the doomers, broke the ceiling and descended into the room.

The babies in room were all asleep, the doomers, held themselves, chanted a spell and all the babies in those room disappeared.

They didn't match up the required number, they went to another hospital, looking for infants, they visited at least twenty seven hospital taking infants.

The doomers reached the hall mark of a thousand and went back to their base.

They infants were all killed and when the bones were sorted out, they got closed to fifty thousand bones.

The next day in India, there was mass loss of infant who were in the hospital, it was a disturbing news, hospital management couldn't explain the reason for the disappearance of infants.

Hospital management were sued to court, cctv footage were played, but the perpetrators were invisible, they could only see, that infants disappeared out of the rooms, without anyone taking them.

The hospitals management were pardon, because this wasn't done by humans but by supernatural means.

The machine was now up for tests, the acquired bones were used, and after five test the machine worked very effective, dear doomers it's time for you to bring the world to dark sage.

On February 18th 1991, the people of Avalon gatherd in the football field to find solutions to the problem they had.

Different suggestions were suggested, even kids were allowed to contribute, at this point no one was considered foolish or unwise, because you never can tell who had the answer to the problem.

Allot of suggestions were made, but still yet they didn't seem healthy enough to combat the current situation.

At this point everyone was frustrated, it's been six hours they were having this meeting, but they couldn't record any breakthrough.Then they decided to ask those guys who believed in what their patriachs had told them.

Before they asked them people were scared, somewhere like what does this old fool have to offer, do they even have the answer to our problem? But somehow they just had to try.

The people of Avalon asked for their opinions, but they were adamant in contributing any ideas or opinion, after much plea from the people, they gave in, it took ples from mature people and aged people before they spoke out.

The oldest person among them stood up and said;We are all aware about the ongoing incident in our land, even we having the ability of gathering in this football field, is something strange and suicidal, but nevertheless, dear people of Avalon, lets be hopeful that we find a definite answer to our problem.

Let's bear it in mind that science can't offer us the desired solution we yearn for, if we are looking for solution, we must start looking at the supernatural aspect of life or any other aspect of Life.

When he said this, there was murmur, and jesting among the crowd, while some others gave in, others faulted the opinion, because the age they lived in, never gave expression for the supernatural and they also believed that supernatural practices has gone into extinction.

The old man raised his hands, signifying a stop to the murmurs he was hearing among the crowd.Everywhere became silent and he continued his speech.

What we are going through has been long written and spoken of, in this book it's recorded that five people from us will be choosen to bring an end to our present calamiy, they will rise as our hero or should I say savior, they would stand as people who have us all at heart, they would defeat the reign of evil, light will shine again in this our world.

With canny gifts,power they would rule and bring liberty on our land.

But do bear it in mind that it won't come easy, neither will such act happen early, as I said before, this was what our grand parents believed before they died, and it's been 18 years since then, what was written hadn't seen the light of the day.

This might happen within our time or during the times to come, the old man said, but we must be patient, if it won't happen during our time, let's be rest assured that it would happen in the time of our kids.But one thing remain that this would happen.

The people of Avalon who were listening to the old man, found it so hard to believe what he was saying, but somehow through this short period in which he spoke to them, hope seemed to be reignited again in their hearts, but one thing they all asked was, who would be this five people?, and what forms of power and ability will they yield? how was it going to happen? what would be the criteria for them to be choosen?

The old man, read their minds, and laughed, he said to them; don't stress or ransack your brain on how it will happen, just let the supernatural do it's thing, but there's something we all would do, for this to be possible.

But it all depends if you all are ready to do it.There was a long period of silence in the football field,

Soon enough the word,'I am ready sir, i am ready sir", began echoing from different places and different mouths, this were the words that came out of thousands of the people in the football field.

Every one now seemed interested, the old man and his clique smiled, seeing the response from the people, what do we have to do? a tall chubby man asked.

The old man replied;go home and we assemble back here tomorrow, the task would be communicated to you all.

The people of Avalon were dissatisfied with the old man answer, but they were also glad that very soon the light at the end of the tunnel would be seen, they hurried to their home Immediately, waiting anxiously to know the task, they would perform.
