Chapter 1 Zeroth Dimension (I)

It was a Saturday night. I was in my hometown, Dehradun, India. My friends arranged an MBA reunion in TONIC. It was a luxurious bar for smoking, drinking and dancing. I was excited to meet my friends. I chose to wear Levis logo print black crew neck t-shirt, rare-rabbit john-stretched blue denim jeans, good pair of Peter England lace ups casual shoes and a branded digital watch. For the first time, I combed my hairs nicely and the funny part is I reached there on time. I parked my car in the basement and made a grand entry inside the TONIC bar. I was in good mood.

"How much time will you all take to reach Tonic?" I texted in the Whatsapp group. Akshay, who was the admin of the group named it as 'MBA Reunion'.

I was feeling nervous and waiters were constantly staring at me as if I am 'Order-Cheap-Beer-and–go-out-of-the-bar' type of person. So I quickly signaled the waiter and started the ordering process.

"Sir." I called the waiter, respectfully.

"Yes, Sir." He said with regard.

"Please bring one strong beer." I gave the order and lit a cigarette to remove my nervousness. My right leg was shaking due to sheer excitement.

"Don't smoke alone, my friend." Someone took my half lit cigarette. "Wow, Classic regular."

"Woah! Abhay and Akriti. You both are looking amazing."

"Thanks, brother. Where are other batch-mates?" Abhay asked.

"Don't know. May be in the traffic."

"Yeah, May be. Where is Appy?" Akriti asked. She was excited to meet my fiancée.

"She was at Salon when I called her." I replied.

"Oh! I want to meet her." Akriti's excitement was beyond the limits.

"And brother how is your book business going?" Abhay asked.

"Pretty good. London is a good place for writing-entrepreneurs. There, I am famous as Mr. Writer."

"Yeah, our bestselling Author, 'The Great Mr.Writer'. So proud of you, mate. I saw your London event online. Very helpful. I liked your concept that Life has many dimensions."

"Thanks brother." I smiled and then texted Appy : "Come fast. Where are you?"

she replied, "I am parking my car in the basement."

"Appy is here." I shouted. A broad smile came on my face.

"Wow but where is Akshay, Shraddha and Saurav?" Akriti asked..

"No Idea. I am dropping a message." While I was texting Akshay, I saw a beautiful Garhwali girl entered in the bar.

"Look Akriti, your beautiful friend has come."

"Wow, Appy you are looking gorgeous in this red kurti and white leggings. Ethnic as always." She complimented her.

"You are also looking beautiful, Akriti." Both the girls got busy in complementing each other. Abhay and I were just watching the show.

"Both of you are not alone, we are also here." I tried to drive Appy's attention towards me.

"Of course." Appy winked at me.

"Nobody can understand girls." I said.

"We are doomed brother. It is good to be single." Abhay said.

"Indeed. There is still time, brother."

We laughed and at the exact moment Akshay and the gang entered in TONIC.

"Sorry guys, there was so much traffic at EC road." Shraddha and Saurav said in unison.

"Doon is doomed, too." Abhay and I laughed again.

My fun in the MBA reunion continued. We laughed. We talked. I was having a good time with my friends. In addition, when I was enjoying my final whiskey peg with double flavored Hookah, my mobile flashed myriad messages from an unknown number.

"Whose message is this?" I showed the message to my fiancée, Appy.

"I don't know, May be, you gave your number to your fans in London."

"It is an Airtel number but I don't know who is the sender, Appy."

"Just leave it and enjoy. We are at reunion and it is almost over now. So check your fan's Whatsapp messages at home."

I ignored the messages and enjoyed the night with my friends.

Next morning, I was in mild hangover and a bit dehydrated. I drank two-three glasses of water and checked my phone. I was shocked. Somebody sent me eleven attachments on Whatsapp.

"What's this?" I started reading a long and detailed message. That person did not have any desktop profile on Whatsapp.

Whatsapp: +91-89765xxxxx, 01:00 am [Unkown Sender]

"Mr. Writer, I am your biggest fan. I came at your event in London. You talked about "Life has many dimensions.". I loved your event and I agree with you. I am Indian and an unemployed person. My father was a service man but I was doing a regular job but your event had diverted my mind. I am in the eleventh dimension of my life. You motivated me and because of your guidance I am trapped. So I have sent you eleven attachments in the form of PDFs. If you have time to read please go through all the dimensions of my life. May be, you will get some new inputs for your next book. In addition, if you want to meet me you will get the lead in the last attachment.

Good night, Mr. Writer. Hope we will meet soon."

After reading the message, a question struck my mind, "Why is he blaming me?"

I had to find the reason so I downloaded the pdf, "First Dimension". When I opened the attachment, I had no idea that it would add a zeroth (neutral) dimension to my life.
