James and Lily were two childhood friends. They love doing things together like shopping and playing together, they later fell in love with each other but at a point James started acting weird. He no longer call Lily and he stopped giving her attention and this made Lily to start hating James. One day when Lily and her best friend Evelyn went to a night party they met a guy named Leo..Leo and Lily later fell in love with each other and after two years in their relationship they planned on getting married but later on Leo had an accident which lead to his blindness. Lily started developing hatred for Leo and so many terrible things happened which Lily later regretted.
Chapter 1 The family
John silver is a very handsome and peaceful man that every woman wished she could get married to. He was every woman's dream ,although John did not come from a wealthy family but his good character made everyone love him. This made all the ladies in his community jealous and wished he could get married to one of them, if possible marry all of them because they envied him alot. He dresses and composes himself as if he is from a wealthy family but he was not.
John later got married to mercy, a beautiful young lady from another community. People envied her alot because finally she was the lucky one that got married to the only man they were dying for. Some of them were happy for mercy while some are not. Some that were jealous of her wished her death so that John can be able to find another woman and get married to but all their plans failed.
After about 10 years in their marriage they gave birth to three children. First was ' Anthony '.. He looks exactly like his father, handsome even in his early thirties. He was tall with his long black coiling hair with his cute lips.. All the young maidens in their community wished they could be his girlfriend don't like spending most of his time with girls but likes doing things that will help him.
The second child ' Lily ' was a very beautiful girl, tall and slim. She looks like a model and because of this people likes her alot not because of her body shape but also because of her beauty. One thing spoilt Lily so much, her character. Lily came from a very beautiful and peaceful home but people were surprised because there were wondering where she got her character from. Lily hate when people talks about her or say negative things about her but still she don't give a fu.. k about what they say at her back ..Lily likes spending most of her time watching movies, chatting with friends and admiring her beauty in her mirror. She was so proud of her self and feels that she is the most beautiful girl in the world.
The third and last child ' Sophia ' who looks exactly like her mother. Very nice and hardworking, she also has a very sweet voice just like her mum. Sophia was her mum's pet. Mrs Mercy likes spending most of her time being with Sophia more than the rest of her children. Sophia likes reading her Books at her leisure time and also enjoys helping her mum in the kitchen
Mr and Mrs John silver made sure that they trained their children in a Godly way, teaching them how to read, not that they are not going to school then but just to make them perfect. Their children keep growing up in the fear of God except of course Lily that likes showing her character and stubbornness to everyone..
" Lily " Mrs Mercy called. " Don't you think it's high time you change this attitude of yours?. So you don't care about what people say you. Why can't you just try to be like your younger sister for once? I and your dad has tried our possible best just to make you a good child but you chose it the other way round, please talk to me am your mother " Mrs Mercy said looking straight to her eyes.
" Mum, it's my life style and I will live my life the way I want it, everybody with their own so please can you leave me alone lemme live my life the way I want it? " lily answered angrily. " my daughter, you know we want the best for you but this your attitude won't lead you to anywhere if you continue acting this way." mercy said touching her shoulder. Okay mum, I will try my possible best to change my character but please I don't want anybody to force me to do that, I will change when I want to. " lily said smiling and left immediately leaving her mum speechless
" I pray that God deliver you out from this your attitude cause I have done more than enough trying to advice you like a good mother but you still chose to continue that way. No problem ". She said and went straight to her room to relax because it was a Sunday afternoon and everyone was at home.
Lily entered her room and dialed James number ( her boyfriend) . " Hello princess, how are you doing today " ? James questioned.." Baby am not fine, you can imagine how my mum keeps disturbing me telling me to change my character, even if am not acting they way they want me to does that mean that I should kill myself just to please them. "? Lily said and James chuckled.
"Honey I think you need to listen to your mother because she is actually saying the right thing and you also know that they want the best for you but.... He was cut short by Lily.
" But what, you are now supporting them right? asked lily almost getting upset. " No baby am only saying the right thing which is the truth but it's okay let's forget about that for now. So how is my baby doing"? James asked trying not to get her upset. Immediately he said this, lily smiled to herself.
" Am fine baby just missing you, I thought you said we will be going out today but why haven't you called me yet? Lily asked. " Nothing really dear I was just busy with some stuff at home but you can come over to join me if you want to." James said smiling. No problem honey I will be with you soon in the next thirty minutes." Lily said getting ready to change her clothes. " OK I will be waiting, see you then ,bye. James finally said and ended the call immediately.
" Mum, dad am going out to see James I will be right back. Lily said leaving the house. " take care of yourself and try and come back home early please". Mr John pleaded. " I will dad ". Lily finally said and left the house immediately to board a taxi..
