" Hey!!!! Look out!!!!" Car screeched to a stop, a young lady sat on the road with her hands covering her ears.
Chapter 1 THE NIGHT
It was a dark and stormy night, the street was filled with many cars as a result of the traffic. The blares of car horns could be heard from different angles of the street. Heavy wind started blowing and it was followed by an Heavy rain.
" Oh come on!!!" Said a guy banging his head on the Steering wheel. He seemed to be in a hurry to somewhere but caught up with the traffic.
He looked around the street but there were many cars with angry drivers inside of them. He let out a mischievous smile and was satisfied that he wasn't the only one who seemed to be mad at the traffic. He turned to his left and saw a car moved.
" where does he think he's going?" He said to himself because there was no one there with him to answer his Question. His face lit up when he saw that there was another road there. " whoa!!" He exclaimed and without a waste of time, he also took the route, ignoring the car which was blaring it's horn at him.
" You can continue to blare the horn if you like, I'm out of here". He said driving in full speed. The Rain Continued to pour down heavily as if it was going to float the houses and cars. Even the windshield couldn't clear the rain away from the front glass. " Oh my Goodness, I can't believe I wasted my time in that horrible traffic" He said shaking his head Disappointedly.
He was still talking about the traffic without seeing a figure in front of him. He looked closely and saw a young lady trying to cross the road but it was too late as he was going in full speed. " look out!!!!" He screamed but the lady couldn't hear him, he blared the horn but she couldn't hear him.
Screech!!!!! He pressed the brake Quickly with his eyes closed. He started opening them slowly but didn't see the lady again. " oh no!!" He Exclaimed as his heart was beating so fast that he couldn't control it. With fears all over him, he opened the car door and stepped out inside the rain slowly.
" Where is she?" He said closing back the door. For every step he took, fears gripped him. He wiped the rain on his face but the more he wiped them, the more it poured on him. He walked to the front of the car and there she was, Squatting with her hands covering her ears.
He walked closer to her with fears written all over his face. " Are you alright?" He asked but she didn't say a word. " hey miss" He called but she still didn't answer him. He looked at her closely and saw that her eyes were closed tightly.
He walked back to the car and opened it, he brought out a long stick which was lying on the back seat of the car and walked back to the lady. He took in a deep breath and with fears, he touched her with the stick.
" Hey!!!" She Shouted at him and he jerked back. " What do you think you are doing? Do you know the consequences of what you are trying to do?" She asked him but he just starred at her in confusion. She went on and on pouring words out of her mouth.
" can't you drive safely? What if you mistakenly hit me? You know you would never go away with it. Do you......" She Paused when another car blared it's horn. " Goodbye" Her said to her and quickly went to his car. He dropped the stick on the floor and closed the door.
" Is he going to leave without me?" she said looking at his car confusingly. She Ran to the car and held the door. " What about me?" She asked him and he chuckled. " Don't you have a home?" He asked her. " of course I do" she said to him and he smiled. " Alright then, go home" He said to her and started the car.
" You can't leave me here, it's raining hell" She said and he burst in to Laughter. " How did you get out of the house in this night? Go home and stop disturbing me!!" He yelled at her and drove away. She stood on one spot looking at him driving away, She couldn't believe he just left her there.
" I can't stay here, I'm scared" She started crying and squat down. " what have I done!!!!" She lamented. She was still crying when she heard footsteps stopped in front of her. She raised up her head and saw him standing with his hands inside his pocket.
" Get up" He said to her and she wiped the tears on her face. " I said you should get up" He repeated but she still remained in that position. " Where are you taking me?" She asked him and he chuckled in surprised. " aren't you the one that want me to go with you? Do you want to stay here and get kidnapped?" He asked her and she sprang up.
" Of course I'm going with you, I can't stay here" She said and he rolled his eyes. He turned and walked away leaving her there. " I just hope he's not a bad guy" She ran after him and stood beside the back door. " what are you waiting for?" He asked looking at her. She looked at the door and he chuckled.
" you want me to open the door for you?" He asked her and she nodded her head. " Yes" She said. He shook his head and entered the car leaving her standing there. " you can get in if you like, I'm not your driver" He said starting the car. She opened the back door and he quickly turned back.
" Come sit on the front seat, I'm not your driver!" He shouted at her and she rolled her eyes. " Okay I heard you, stop shouting on me!!" She shouted back and he clicked his tongue. " just get in, I'm getting cold" He said and she entered the car. She closed the door and rested her head on the seat.
