The Great Escape

"Come on we need to hide" Karan said in fright

"I can't, i need to go to my mum and dad" Lindsey replied looking towards where her parents are as she shivers in fear

"Am sure your parents will want you to hide" muttered Karen with tears dripping down her eyes "do you know a safe place to hide?" She mumble

"Yea yeah" Lindsey stutter as she finally moved away from the door,she walked towards her closet with fear as she shakily moved the clothes out of the way revealing a lock door,she quickly typed in the password as her hands shakes

"Isn't this place obvious?" Asked Karen as she exhaled sharply

"Mum and dad always said that the most obvious place is the most secure place cause they hardly ever looked there" she replied with a sign.

A thud was heard followed by indistinct mutter as footsteps drew nearer,they hurriedly got inside locking the door behind them as they waited.

"Come on we need to search the girls room,boss said leave no stone unturned " said a masked guy

"And you think she would still be in her room after hearing the gunshot?" Asked his follow masked guy "she can't be that stupid" he grumbled as he followed him to the room

"The five of you go this way" he ordered pointing to his right "and you six go that way" he said motioning to his left "the rest come with me" he said and they immediately dispatched as he kicked down the room door, they immediately got to searching the room as they flip the bed,shattered the mirror,removed the pink knitted rug in case of hidden door

"I guess she is not stupid then" mumble the masked guy with a laugh "come on guys let search the rest of this fucking cottage" he yelled motioning his men out of the house

"But what about the closet?" Asked one of his men pointing towards the closet. Karen and Lindsey heart pounded in fear as they quickly stiffle their cries holding on to each other as they prayed for a miracle

"You can't fucking think they would hide there do you" he yelled as he brought out his gun pointing it to his men

"Am sorry am sorry" he said fearfully his hands up in the air as he shivers in fright

"Fucking amature" spit the leader as he turned, living the room as the guy scurries out behind him.

Karen and Lindsey let out a breath of relived when the room finally got silent,they stayed another couple minutes ,then got out after hearing the screeching of tires leave the surrounding

"Mum,dad" stiffled Lindsey as she ran out of the room,down the stairs and into the parlor where she saw her dad lying lifelessly in a pool of his own blood,his fingers were cut off ,there was even a bullet to both his knees but the shot that finished him was a shot to his head "Noooo" she yelled as she fell on her knees with a thud as tears dripped down her eyes.

"Lindsey..your mom" Karen said in a shaky voice

Lindsey slowly looked in her direction as she saw her mum dead on the floor,she crawled over to her mum holding her lifeless body as she cried

"Come on Lindsey we need to leave,those guys might come back" karen said as she wiped her tears,Mr and Mrs Amazon meant a lot to her

"You're right,but i need to bury my parents" Lindsey replied as she wiped her eyes standing up

"We can come back in the evening,but for now we need to go" Karen said just as the sound of tires screeching got nearer

"They are here" shivered Karen as she and Lindsey ran out of the cottage

"I see her" yelled one of the men coming out of the car "come on we need to chase her,boss wants her alive" he yelled as he got into the car with some of the men in the back as they gave chase

"Oh no they are unto us" yelled Lindsey as she increase her paced " we need to get out of the road" she whispered panting harshly looking at karen as they ran among the fields,they kept runing ,but then heard gunshot which made them freeze in fear

"What the fuck is wrong with you ,i said the boss wants her alive" yelled one of the men angrily

"Do you want to tell the boss that we lost her" the shooter yelled back as he kept on shooting

"Come on Karen ,we need to keep moving" yelled Lindsey tugging at her friend

"I can't i am tired" she replied with a heavy pant as a gunshot was heard

"Noooo" yelled Lindsey as blood splatter all over her, tears kept flowing from her eyes when she saw the hole on her best friend head

"I think i got one" yelled the shooter with a smirk "hopefully the Amazons daughter"

"Yeah ,well we need to be sure" yelled another voiced as his footsteps got closer

Lindsey took off as she heard the sound of dry grass being stepped on "I'm sorry" she softly said as more tears kept pouring in.
