After staring outside for almost a minute, she took a shower and changed into a white mini dress, an embossed floral print mini dress with a square collar, short sleeve, slim waist, and side zip fastener. She also grabbed her white sandals and put them on. After blow-drying and straightening her black hair, she put on her makeup and headed downstairs.

Chapter 1 His Deal

It was ten in the morning when Letitia got up from bed and opened the window. It's a beautiful day to start a new chapter of her life.

"Good morning, world! Another day, another chance to make my life exciting and wonderful. Good morning Mr. Bird! Finally, I'm graduating!" she screamed.

She walked in and cleared her throat when she saw her mother and father sitting there talking in their inside voices. They both jumped up and smiled at her, and she reciprocated by kissing their cheeks.

"Good morning, mama! Good morning, papa!" She murmured while pouring the water into the cup.

Her mother gave her a wide smile. "Good morning, sweetheart," she replied, and her father smiled as he glanced at her.

"You look very pretty today, my darling." Her dad said.

"Well papa, it's a perk of having a beautiful mother. Right ma?" Letitia said while staring at her mom. Her mom just laughed.

"What time is your graduation ceremony?"

"It's after lunch, maybe around one in the afternoon? That's why you both need to get ready if you don't want to be late... Let's go, time is running!" Letitia suddenly pushes her parents to get to the bathroom and get ready.

After eating breakfast, she went up to her room to practice her speech for their graduation ceremony. She's a very hardworking student and because of that, she got the highest GPA in their batch which makes her a Summa Cum Laude. She opened her drawer and got her folder that contained a paper with her speech.

At the University

"May I call on Ms. Letitia Murial Smith to deliver her speech," the speaker called for Letitia on the stage. She went up to the stage and faced the hundreds of graduating students.

"Congratulations to my fellow graduates!

I AM HERE BECAUSE I AM THE BEST.

Before you accuse me of being conceited, egotistical, or arrogant, let me ask you a question: what does it mean to be the best? If we define "best" according to our society's norms, it could mean "most brilliant," "most talented in any specific skill," "most gifted of all," or simply "the one who has all he wants and is greater than anybody else..." she said as her speech continued. Before her speech ended she suddenly stopped and looked at her parents sitting in front, "I appreciate you being there from the beginning, Mama and Papa. I may not show my gratitude verbally, but God knows how grateful I am for all the sacrifices you have made. I love you very much. Again, congratulations to everyone, and good luck with your next adventure." When she ended her speech the crowd started to clap loudly. She went back to her seat and waited until the ceremonies ended.

The ceremonies ended and everyone was doing their thing; some left early, some were taking pictures, and some were crying. "Letitia, we are going to a club tonight to celebrate. Will you come with us?" Her friend Chantal asked.

Letitia suddenly takes a glimpse at her parents who are looking at her, "Well I can't say no to that, you already graduated, and having fun sometimes isn't bad darling. Right, hun?" her mom stated, making Letitia's friends smile in excitement.

"I'll be the villain if I say no, so yeah sure but you need to get home on time and just drink responsibly, okay?" her dad agreed.

"So, Letitia, will you come with us?"

"Yeah, I mean they just agreed on you guys, so let's party!"
