Chapter 1 Reborn: My mate is the descendant of the moon Goddess

Lisa Dariken mused at comfort of the retreating sun that still gave it's now orange hue to the streets as hope of a brighter tomorrow, blazing hot as it would be, it fit the description of life in Aspen south of the ocean where she lives. Even now she could see the moon eager to take the sky, it would be a full moon.

Lisa leans into Jack's arm and on instinct he wraps his arm around her. Jack has been her boyfriend for three months and even now the embrace felt like forever, she got comfortable in his embrace, raising her head to meet his eyes, a slow smile spread across his face like it took its time to align and Jack is pretty to her with his dark hair, and soft face that seemed set in place that his smile looked foreign.

"I love you Jack" Lisa says.

"I love you Lisa" Jack says as she watch his foreign made him look less cold, most people thought he was all cold shoulder but she knew better, he is loyal and protective of those he cares for and that included her, the cold shoulder was in effect of whatever training he had which he never talks about and she had learnt to let it go, for now.

Jack hardly carries to this face his emotions; trained in martial arts from a young age she was hardly surprised by the hardness of his muscles as she moved her palm investigating the lining of his stomach abs, she disliked his family but not much could be said about her own where it was just her and Uncle Jerry who took care of her after her parents died, she was just a baby as he told her when they died. The sadness that tried to come to the surface made her feel sick but she would not have it and turned to the road, seeing nothing worth attention on the familiar road, she closes her eyes and let Jack lead her.

Lisa kept her hands still patrolling his abs as she recalls when she first went to meet Jack at Jack's family mansion painted red and black with white for balance that made it look like a war house with everyone ripped and fit, in that house he was not strange; Charles his father is a huge man with broad shoulders, has white hairs well arranged and for his age at eighty-two which she did not believe when he told her, he could still lift and ride a bike. Jack was not the only son, he had an elder brother, Ronald who was out on an adventure outside the borders of this city. On that day she came in contact with a few others:

The view of the bungalow painted in white with well trimmed bushes of varying sizes beatifying the surrounding owned by her uncle came into view and Jack let her go, their relationship was a secret that both side of the family will never agree to if it ever came to light even as her uncle was the town's favorite who owns the dairy farms, food storage, metals and major raw materials used by the town's population, he wasn't on good term's with the Arrow's cooperation that deals in anything electronic and a major supplier of the appliances the town used and is owned by Jack's family. The only time either side ever exchanged words was in business exchange which did not suffer from their indifference to each other.

"Lisa" Jack called pulling her from her thoughts "there is a school party tonight, you know the one Peter will be hosting, I'll be there." Peter she knew as Jack only friend and brother who lives with Jack as his parents travel a lot. She tries to speak but he held his hand to her lips "I would love my girl to be there with me"

"Jerry won't let me and you know this. We've had this conversation and..."

" I know." he interrupted, "that is why I will speak to him myself." She stopped and tightened her grip on his hand for some reason she felt strongly possessive, he raised his brow surprised at her strength but she would not look at him.

"Don't. Promise me you won't mention this to him. I'll speak with him but please..." she trails off.

"it's Okay." He knew when she was like this not to push and he drew her into his embrace " I will not utter a word." He let the wind blow against them as they resumed their walk.

"But" he said suddenly and she looked up at him, holding her gaze he said "I won't mind coming over halfway into the party if you're not there to give him a piece of my mind" She smiled at that. Jack took his time enjoying the feeling her smile could generate and was content with the small victory he won, battles could not be won in a day even as her dark brown eyes, dark hair and the redness of her lips was inviting; Lisa beauty could not be mistaken and he knew it was not the time nor the place so he comforted himself in the thought that she was his.

They arrived at her house, Jerry looking in his early thirties, broad shoulder, well cut dark hair that seemed like it never grew longer that it's current length, he was ripped and fit for his age and he was not smiling as he stared at them from the porch, Jack sent a nod his way that he ignores keeping his stare.

"Go back home boy, you've come far enough." he said with menace and Jack stiffened beside her, somehow his eyes seemed to carry the threat his relaxed body hid; nodding at Lisa, Jack turns and goes back the way they came.

" Did you have to do that ?" she shouted "he is a friend."

"You can have female friends too." Lisa rolls her eyes at that and stomped her feet past him, she knew he was being protective but she di not want to him satisfaction on his action by letting him see her smile. Jerry follows after her and holds her wrist.

"You know the rules and our little game." he smiles looking like a starved bear in her eyes "what is the one weakness of a werewolf "

"I'm not doing this, I'm not a child! I'm 18 uncle." she stares at him letting her intent in disobedience sink but he looks on like he was a statue.

"I'm not interested in fantasy anymore!" she was trying anger and screams at him trying to pull her hand from him but he held on like a leach, not tight that it was painful yet she could not shake him off, she felt frustration.

"Lisa I'm waiting for your reply." he said after a minute of her tantrum in a cool voice that implied he had all the time and he was ready to indulge and might even enjoy the time.

The tears had gathered in her eyes and as she looked at him being as expressionless as Jack, she wonder why the men in her life carried such looks.

"Sliver it burns them and hampers their regenerative skill" Lisa says and he smiles now indicating his pleasure.

"And how can a werewolf control their beast ?" he asked in subtle interest. Tears formed in her eyes and she let it flow.

"By checking their temper, being well fed and a regular run once in a week and at most two weeks" she said between sobs. Jerry let go of her hand then.

"Lisa I did not mean to..."

"To what ? frighten me ? You make me say all this things daily since I could understand and speak."

"Lisa that's exaggerated. " Jerry says and Lisa ignores his remark

"Why you give an excuse when I ask for the reason for all this ?" Jerry keeps silent but hold her gaze, she understood he was implying that he could chose not to answer and that annoys her.

"I'm not a child so why do you make me repeat fairy tales ?" she shouted hard but he did not react, he never did to all her tantrum always giving her the cool look that she thought said he was right and would face the consequences of all her attacks.

"Lisa.." he tries again to console her but she runs away, he hears the door to her room shut. He was going to tell her; at the right time today you'll know. I'll explain everything; that was the plan and he successfully failed. Jerry sighs in frustration.

Lisa alone in her dark room jumps on her bed, she knew right then that she could not tell him about the party, he might ground her and keep watch and she felt really angry at that thought, with Jerry you could never tell his reaction. Frustrated that he would still treat her like a child and not trust her decisions.. She stood up to pace but stopped, feeling the breeze blow gently on her skin, she turns to look at her window, the moonlight floods through inviting itself in, it lights up her room and she smiles not noticing the faint blue glow in her eyes, all she felt was excitement.

"...Happy birthday" Jerry was saying at the time her door banged shut, he was left standing alone at the entrance, quietly he slips into his room were he stood staring at his reflection in the mirror.

" Lilly, Jacob how can I get across to your daughter ?" he whispered to himself as he paced the room, he had not told her what she was; always looking for the perfect time to begin, to explain, to make her understand, what she was and why it was necessary she knows all what he taught her by hand even when he failed to tell her on his chosen days, he stops looking into the mirror, he closes his eyes and green waves seemed to float off him and dissipate into the air, he looked much younger and around 28 years when the green waves clears even as he was much older. Shaking his head he resumed his pace moving much faster, he had told himself she was too young, she would not be able to handle it and will try when she was much older.

Jerry settles on his bed and stares at the ceiling as the reality of his mistake hits him, now she was celebrating her eighteenth birthday today and on the night of a full moon, she needed to know and he had kept that from her, he had kept her far too ignorant of her nature for too long and today was too late. He was lost in his thoughts trying to justify his neglect when it hit him a gentle tug from within and just then his eyes glowed yellow, it had commenced; her change. He knew because she was park and there was a mystic connection between pack members that allows them to feel major changes in a pack member.

Jerry stood and left his room heading to her own, he knew that whatever he says had to make sense, he would make it; she was a werewolf but not the normal kind and the true reason her parents were attacked, he knocks on her door and when she did not respond after several attempts, inhaling her scent and it felt like it would when he was following a trial that was distant, he broke the door to stare at an open window with the beam of the moon light flooding in, his eyes shining golden yellow.

Lisa had left through the window and he knew only one person that would make her do that "Jack" he said under his breathe but at the same time crosschecking to make sure there was no sign of struggle that would say otherwise, finding none he relaxed and hurt that she did not trust his enough to tell her their plan, he brought out his phone and scrolled thought the parent's chat group of the school she attended and found nothing wherever she was had nothing to do with the school and that made him uneasy. It is a dangerous night and it annoys him to think she kept things from him, Jerr retreats from the room and close the door after shutting the window.
