Athena's pov
Nana come here" I called my younger sister as I looked through the family album.
My name is Athena, I'm a daughter, sister, crown princess and also a doctor. As a princess, I was expected to learn how to be a lady and a good wife for my would be husband, and yes, my parents betrothed me to someone i don't know. They kept locking me in the palace and insisting that I learned ethics but of course I kept failing intentionally. After years of hopelessness, they let me go for what I wanted (because they wanted me to be good at something, how funny)
Nana walked in. "What can I do for you madame Athena" she laughed
Nana is my younger sister and confidante and as expected we're very close. Although I'm older, nana has always been the more 'graceful' child. For me, it was a welcome behavior, I had hoped that the betrothal would fall on the 'good child' but of course, wishes aren't horses.
"Alright old lady why is mother screaming so early in the morning"
Nana cleared her throat as she tried to imitate our mother "Athena!!! You have to get ready, the royal family of Baxton is almost here"
I tried to imitate my father "why isn't she here, isn't she aware that as crown princess she represents the throne of Grandea." And we laughed on
"Let's just say mother wants your two legs down or she's coming up and father might have your head for lunch if you show up late to welcome the Baxton royals" nana said
"Nana I'm tired"
"Did you sneak out again?"she asked and immediately I denied.
"Athena you did. I've told you to stop coming back late at least so you could rest well"
"I had to help that family. Their son was going to die if I didn't go."
"Why didn't they come to the care center?"
"They couldn't afford it nana. Besides, I would rest for a while and I would be fine"
"You have 30 minutes. I'm going"
When nana left, I laid on my bed for a short nap, hoping I would wake up in thirty minutes.
I turned away in discomfort as someone kept tapping me. "Athena, they're here, father is furious"
father is furious why?? They? .... oh my the royals....
Immediately I jumped out of bed to wash. I was thankful that while I washed, nana picked out a gown for me. I wore the gown quickly and packed my hair messy before running out. Once I got to the main door, I took calm breaths before walking towards the line my family made. As expected, my father had the look in his fathers eyes, he could burn a building with that stare but I ignored him and quickly stood beside my mother and put my fake smile.
