A New Woman Chapter 1 A Couple Discussion

# 1; couple discussion.

"Francisco, would you do me a favor and explain to me what this is?" Hannah yelled angrily.

"Hannah, where did you get that photo? Who sent it to you?" Francis asks.

"Don't be so cynical, that has nothing to do now, do me a favor, and explain it to me, what is this shit?" Hannah insists angrier than she already was.

Francisco looked at the cell phone in front of his eyes again, it was Hannah's cell phone that had an image of Francisco open with Oriana, his lover, they were kissing at that moment as if they were a normal dating couple who had nothing to hide on the street.

"Hannah, I can explain it to you..." answers Francisco.

He is nervous, Ana knows it because when Francisco stutters instantly when he is asked something that he doesn't know what to answer, he begins to behave that way as if he were a little boy.

"I already told Margarita to organize your suitcases and take your things out of your study, get out of my house, I don't want to see you again in my life until the divorce papers are ready" says Hannah.

Hannah was determined; she wanted a divorce, more than once she had wanted to turn a blind eye to her husband's affair with a woman who worked as his secretary in the company that belonged to both of them, her friends had also warned her, and likewise Her children had also warned her because both they and their friends had found out about their father's affair before their mother.

It all started with a meeting that took place in the company, they were celebrating the 20 years that Francisco had been president, Hannah got distracted while she was chatting with some new clients that Francisco had obtained to handle their companies' accounting, the new clients They wanted to meet her, and they took advantage of the meeting to congratulate her on the achievements that the company had generated since its creation, and to talk about more topics that interested Hannah.

Hannah was talking to them for about an hour and a half, and then, she had to ask her companions for permission to withdraw from her, apologizing that she would go to the bathroom when she saw everything; first he saw that Oriana had withdrawn from her place, all this time she had been talking to only one person, her best friend, who, although she did not work there, had been her guest because she had no other people to turn to that Saturday afternoon to to accompany him to the event and not be there alone feeling bad about it.

Oriana left her best friend alone, who then amused herself by serving a glass of champagne from the snack bar that the lady in charge of cleaning and organizing events in the company put in a corner of the room where they were all gathered, and Oriana left walking down a corridor while taking the last sip from his glass of champagne that was about to finish emptying.

Hannah had been looking out for her all the time without her realizing it, and she said that, at least, that woman had had about 3 glasses of champagne, and even if it was champagne, Hannah knew that with 3 glasses one could being happy enough to do her things, but with 5 drinks it was already determined that she could get drunk.

When Oriana disappeared from the room, Hanna looked around, Francisco was nowhere to be found, when minutes before he had been sharing a few minutes of his time with his assistant, and a new client who had attended the event without an invitation to do business with him that same afternoon.

Where had her husband gone? Hannah wondered in confusion, but then, she got it, and she knew where she had to go to find him; she left walking down the same corridor that Oriana passed by a moment ago, Oriana was no longer there, there was only Hannah, and a bunch of empty offices with the door closed.

Hannah walked until she turned right, and then, everything in her life took a drastic turn when she arrived at her husband's office.

Hannah had remained motionless in the corridor, because when she walked she heard as if a couple of people were gasping, moaning, her skin shuddered, because at first, she heard that those gasps or moans were coming from the presidential office, and although she didn't want to To believe it, she had to do what she did to figure it all out, to remove the band from her eyes.

Francisco was having sex with Oriana in his office. They were both still with their clothes on, except that Francisco had his jeans and boxers down, revealing Hannah's naked rear that tensed with each thrust he was giving her secretary.

Oriana was sitting on the desk with her legs open embracing Francisco's hip, she had gone in a skirt, and Hannah could see that her red thong was lying on the floor, that had been the only thing she had taken off of her at that moment.

They both moan, Oriana's eyes closed until she became aware of Hannah's presence and screamed.

None of those who were present in the company room had realized that it was happening in the presidential office because since the event started, classical music was playing on the speakers that were hung on the walls, the music was a bit loud like to overshadow the moans of Francisco and Oriana, and the screams of Hannah angry and hurt by the uncomfortable situation that she never wanted to accept that it was happening.

"Since when are you two staring at me stupid?" Hannah yells, flustered.

Francisco and Oriana had not even intended to have separated from their position, as they remained like that without caring that Hannah was looking at them at that precise moment.

"Answer now!" Hannah yelled.

I spent four hours preparing a five-course meal for our fifth anniversary. When Jackson finally walked into the penthouse an hour late, he didn't even look at the table. He just dropped a thick Manila envelope in front of me and told me he was done. He said his stepsister, Davida, was getting worse and needed "stability." I wasn't his wife; I was a placeholder, a temporary fix he used until the woman he actually loved was ready to take my place. Jackson didn't just want a divorce; he wanted to erase me. He called me a "proprietary asset," claiming that every design I had created to save his empire belonged to him. He froze my bank accounts, cut off my phone, and told me I’d be nothing without his name. Davida even called me from her hospital bed to flaunt the family heirloom ring Jackson claimed was lost, mocking me for being "baggage" that was finally being cleared out. I stood in our empty home, realizing I had spent five years being a martyr for a man who saw me as a transaction. I couldn't understand how he could be so blind to the monster he was protecting, or how he could discard me so coldly after I had given him everything. I grabbed my hidden sketchbook, shredded our wedding portrait, and walked out into the rain. I dialed a number I hadn't touched in years—a dangerous man known as The Surgeon who dealt in debts and shadows. I told him I was ready to pay his price. Jackson and Davida wanted to steal my identity, but I was about to show the world the literal scars they had left behind.

I stood at my mother’s open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest’s voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone—he brought Charla with him. He claimed she’d had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.

I sat on the edge of the examination table, the crinkle of the sanitary paper sounding like thunder in the sterile room. The doctor didn't even look at me as he confirmed the news: the pregnancy was over. My husband, Keyon, didn't answer my call. He just sent an automated text: "In a meeting." When I returned to our cold mansion, I found his iPad glowing with a message from his "muse," Katina. He was throwing her a secret gala tonight-on our third wedding anniversary. He told her he couldn't wait to escape the "boring" and "draining" atmosphere I created at home. Keyon didn't stumble in until 3 AM, smelling of Katina's perfume with a smear of red on his collar. When I handed him the divorce papers, he laughed in my face. He called me a "glorified housekeeper" with no skills and no future, promising I'd be back in three days begging for a subway ticket. He even bet his friends ten thousand dollars that I wouldn't survive a week without his name. He had his assistant cancel my credit cards and block my gate access before I even reached the end of the driveway. He wanted me to starve. He wanted me to crawl. He sat in his office, mocking the "desperate" woman who pawned her three-million-dollar wedding ring for scrap metal just to pay for a meal. I stood on the rainy curb, watching the man I had protected for three years treat my life like trash. He didn't know about the ultrasound I just threw in the bin. He didn't know that while he was calling me "dull," I was the one secretly writing the code that kept his billion-dollar empire from collapsing. As I slid into a cheap Uber, I opened a hidden, encrypted app on my phone. The screen refreshed to a dashboard for an account Keyon didn't know existed. The balance was ten figures long-the accumulated wealth of "Solaris," the world's most elusive tech genius. Keyon thinks he just evicted a parasite, but he's about to find out he just declared war on the only person who can hit "delete" on his entire life.
