Good morning Ron" I said

I gave him his daily treat which I baked every morning before coming to work

He moaned as he bit into the muffin

"Damn woman your muffins are still be best I have ever tasted"

"That's not true Ronnie, by the way is the boss in ?" I asked.

"Yeah and he looked very upset since he arrived, I think someone really got him angry" He said

i walked into Leo's office, till today his office is still a black beauty, he was working on his laptop, he was probably too engrossed he didn't notice that i walked in, i walked to him and hugged him from behind, Leo responses to this gesture with a kiss but today was different, he removed my hands from his shoulders, stood up and walked to the window

"You are late, you know i hate tardiness" He said.

Hold on for a second, is that why he is pissed at me.

"Am sorry for coming late and i have a good explanation........"

" You're fired Lisa" Leo said calmly

"Wait what? but Leo, you can't do this, I was only five minutes late" i said. This has to be a sick joke

"it's Mr. Ambrosia to you Lisa, firstly i can do this because this is my company and I don't want to hear your excuses" He said

"bae, you can't be serious"

I walked to him and hugged him, I placed my head on his chest.

"You know how much my job means to me, i have only been late three times and on very good reasons and you know that, please forgive me, i will work harder" I said

He took a deep breath, i smiled inwardly waiting for him to tell me that he was giving one more chance, he pulled me away from himself

"Lisa, there is nothing going on between us after today"

"Wait, you breaking up with me? "

"yes I am breaking up with you "

I stumbled and felt my heart drop as his words was echoing in my brain "Why, there has to be a reason why you are doing all these" i said

"I have no explanation to give to you"

I was getting angry, i felt like a volcano about to erupt, the feeling of betrayal, disbelief, shock and a lot of rage was all that was in my mind at that moment

"Are you being serious right now, after everything you just want to dump me like a piece of trash do you think you can treat like all those other girls you dated and dumped" I said

He remained silent

I laughed sarcastically, this fucker is deranged

"I want an explanation, you owe me that at least " I yelled

"I owe you nothing" He said

"Let me keep my job here, the company is big enough for both of us or you could send me to another branch" i said

I love my job and i really want to keep it at all cost

"No, you are fired Lisa, no transfer or reassignment, you are out of my company " He said

I slapped him, It was so obvious that he was already lose his calm but i didn't care

"But......" I said

"No buts, get the hell out of office and my company, end of discussion or do you want to do this the hard way and let security escort you out" he yelled on top of his voice

"Fine, I will leave" I said

I know Leonard Ambrosia enough to know that he means every word he is saying, there is no bluff

"You have 2 hours to have clear your office, submit any important projects and documents to my secretary" He said not sparing me a glance

I gave him another slap that my hand stung from the impact, his hand was on red cheek and his eyes held a lot rage and shock but mostly the rage but i didn't care

"You are an asshole and i regret agreeing to go out with you, but am sure you have heard this a lot from those ladies you dated and dumped, well hear this am not going to plead with you to take me back, you can go and rot in hell where you belong, you heartless gorilla" I stormed out of his office

I drove into Café Rio's parking lot, I went through the backdoor of the café. Immediately I left the office, I called my friends to meet me here.

I got inside Nadia's office, I saw all my friends sitting down, immediately they saw my pale face they rushed to me

"Liz what's wrong?" Brenda asked

I busted into fresh hot tears

"Liz tell us"

" Leo fired me"

'WHAT???? ' they all yelled

"And then he broke up with me"

"How could he do this, although I know that you are not the first head of finance that he will fire but why did he break up with you? I thought you were going be his permanent girlfriend" Brenda said

"Explain everything to us" Nadia said

So explain everything that happened to them and when I was done they were beyond upset

"I am going to kill him" Alex said through clenched teeth

"I am right beside you girlfriend, we will kill him together" Brenda said

"Liz what can I get you?" Nadia asked

"Just one cup of chocolate drink with marshmallows"

"OK I'll be right back"

After awhile she came back with a cup of hot chocolate

"I don't know what I'm going to do, i really love working"

"I think it is time we give you a gift" Brenda said looking at the others

"which gift? It's not my birthday or Christmas, so which gift? "

"we have thinking about it for a while now, you have done so much for us in the past few years so we decided to give you something that you have been working hard for" Alex said

Brenda brought out her check book, wrote an amount on it and gave me

"A billion dollars?" i asked shocked "For that Bridal company you have been dreaming to build since forever" Nadia said

"You can now plan my wedding like we always talked about , i am putting everything in your hands" Brenda said

"You do know that setting up this business will take a lot of time, probably months " I said

"We have arranged a few things to make setting up faster" Alex said

I arched my brow

"Like what?"

"I found employees to work for you , Nadia found a really good building to start then perhaps after maybe two years we can upgrade to a building like Leo's and Brenda is getting clients immediately you open for business " Alex said

I have been blessed with angels as friends

"you guys are the best" I said as I hugged them

"we know what will you do without us" Brenda said laughing

Leo's POV

I was occupied with my work that I didn't know when Brenda came in, she slammed her hand on my desk

"Why the hell did you fire Lisa?" she asked

"Good morning to you too baby sister"

I saw the rage in her eyes and I could tell that she was furious I mean who wouldn't be when their brother decides to toy with their best friend

"Just answer the question, damn it "she yelled

"You want to know why, well it was because she was late to work" I said hoping to convince her with my lame excuse

"Cut the crap, that is a horrible lie" she said

"Whatever, by the way I need a head of finance" i said as i leaned into my chair

The head of finance I just hired was worse than Lisa, she was a great employee and girlfriend but I could not risk it

"In your dreams, you asshole" she said

"Mind your language baby sister" i said

"Don't tell me what to do, I can't believe I convinced my best friend into going out with you" she said

I really didn't have a good reason for firing Lisa, she was smart, generous, funny and beautiful, I was planning to just end things between us but I would go back to her if she kept her job here so I had to let her go

"I can't believe you did that to her, she was perfect, must you always destroy every good thing that comes your way" She said as she sat down

"My company is a good thing and have not destroyed it, it is progressing and making great profits everyday" I said

"Wipe that smirk off your face, I am not here for your bad sense of humor, you a piece of shit"

"If I am sure a bad person why didn't you stop her when I started dating her, why did you encourage her, you are just as evil as me"

I felt a sharp pain on my cheek

Why do these two think slapping me is accepted, I took a breath, as much I would love to I could not lose my cool with her

"maybe I can help her by giving her a recommendation to another company"

"No need for that but just know that you really broke her heart by breaking up with her"

"You know how I am, I got tired of her" I said

I cringed inside as I lied

The truth is Lisa was the best thing that had happened to me in a very long time, I am known as the most heartless and ruthless eligible bachelor in the whole of California, I could not just lose my heart to her easily

I had fallen for her, it scared and I ran from it

"Where the hell is my brother who respected ladies and loved his sister?"

"I still love you B and I always will, that hasn't changed and it never will"

"Yeah I can see that, I can't believe you let her go"

She needed to drop the conservation

"Just leave this matter in the past, I have made up my mind and you can't change it" He said sternly

She left the office and i continued my work

Lisa POV

"I don't know what sins I committed in my previous life that I had to be punished with a despicable brother, he is so mean" Brenda said

I chuckled as she groaned into my pillow

"What happened between you two this time around" I asked

"I went to confront him about him breaking up with you"

My heart sunk as the event replayed in my head, I was still trying to wrap my head around the whole situation

"You shouldn't have done that Bee, I am fine I promise, besides my mind has been on these resume that Alex sent to me" I said

"Gosh, I totally forgot you had to do that, I love that you didn't even cry over that asshole after last night, he doesn't your tears" She said

I haven't time to be consoling about the breakup, I really want this business work out, I had to look through these resumes and I had been at it since I woke up so I haven't thought all the bad things that has happened

"I want to employ all these people but I just need a small team to start and maybe later I can employ more people"

I just needed six to ten people and I had about two hundred resumes in my email

"How many resumes exactly" she said as she braced herself up on my bed

"Two hundred and sixty five"

She sat beside on the bed

"Whoa that is a lot"

"Tell me about" I sighed

"Tell me which positions you are employing and what you require from them"

She picked up her laptop from my table

"You want to help me look through them?" I asked

"Hell yeah, we could pick about fifty people, do interviews and pick the best" she said

I hugged her tight, there are two things I have always been grateful for is having a loving family and for having a great best friend as Brenda, she has been there in both good and bad days ever since we were in middle school, even when she was popular in high school she still stood by me even when I was being bullied, she has been my rock since forever.

She laughed as we hugged each other

"I have a good feeling about this business, and I am going to be there for you every step of the way, always, you are my sister and you are practically the strongest woman I know, you never let anyone or anything hold you backand you are always ready to fight for what you want, I envy you Lisa white"

"Stop it, you are making me cry" I said

"When you're feeling sad and blue, call my name and I will you find you" Brenda sang

"We have a bond that's tried and true" I continued

It may be cheesy and lame to many people but it was our thing
