Being a servant in one of the royal houses of vampires was a jackpot for every commoner. However, it was the opposite for Genovia. She was cursed at, maltreated, and abused for being almost human and having an unknown origin, unlike the other servants. Her case might seem hopeless but she had a dream- to be a theater actress and travel around the world. For this dream, she swallowed her pride and entered various jobs. In the morning, she was a servant, and in the night, she was a prostitute and an assassin. Her life takes a turn when she meets Ferrero Voltaire, a man whom she only knows she was tasked to kill. What she didn't know was that this man was unlike the others and that he wanted her from the moment he met her.

Chapter 1 To Be Genovia

"See what you did?! You shouldn't have been really here, b*tch! Why did I even call you here?! Ugh!"

I kept my eyes shut and bowed in submission. Not long after, I felt a slap on my cheek. I remained on my knees and bowed, not daring to meet her eyes. Because once I did, I would only anger her more and I would receive torture.

"Nalia, what is happening here?"

Several footsteps could be heard approaching. I knew I have gathered a crowd now. But I dare not say a word. I dare not move a muscle. I was merely a humble servant. When my master says I was wrong, then I was wrong.

"This creature here, she spilled coffee on my dress! It's the dress I am supposed to wear in the King's Supper. What am I supposed to do now?!"

I bent myself more forward until my head reached the floor. I knew this would do nothing against Nalia's somehow innate hatred towards me but I was hoping I could at least move his brother.

I don't wanna be locked up in the basement again. I just met with that room last night. And the wounds I received still haven't fully healed. That burning pain in my back still lingers and hinders me from moving freely. So I am not moving there again. Not tonight.

" It is my fault, young master. I am gravely sorry."

I heard him sigh.

"Nalia, just let it go. That dress is bought from some tailoring store you found. There are lots of luxurious boutiques in the capital. You can choose from there," said Master Devan.

"But Devan!"

"I am Master Devan to you. Remember my title. And don't go whining. I doubt you will catch any gentleman's attention with your spoiled princess attitude."

Nalia stomped her feet in suppressed anger. I saw her heels move towards her bed and the young master's black shoes to my front. Master Devan may be kinder but he was not to be messed with. I swallowed the lump in my throat and prayed for Devilshire to help me get past this obstacle.

" And you, stand up now and leave. Next time, this won't go unpunished."

"Y-Yes, young master."

I stood up at a quickened pace. I kept my head lowered, not even taking a second to look around the surroundings. My feet rushed out the doors of Nalia's room, past the house servants who seemed to come for gossip.

Their whispers, no matter how much hushed, were still clearly audible to me.

"Why does the young lady keep on ordering her anyway, when she always messes things up?"

"You fool. She doesn't. It's the young lady who would purposely mess things up and then blame it on her. She knew very well that a mere servant like her could not do anything against a royal. Spoiled princess."

"Shhhh. They might hear you. You don't wanna get whipped just like her. Let's just go back to work before Master Devan even commands us."

I reached the end of the hall and took a left turn. As soon as I was out of everyone's sight, I slowed my pace and let myself breathe. I found myself leaning against the wall and catching my breath.

Tonight was my lucky night. Maybe, I should thank the crown prince for me being this blessed.

Tonight is the coronation of Crown Prince, Jacobton. He would ascend the throne as the next Vampire King. Every royal vampire in the world would attend the event and stay in the Fluvianelle Castle for at least three days. It's a celebration with lots of ongoing things inside it anyway.

Nalia, my b*tch of a young lady, is hoping to snatch some tall, handsome, and rich vampire. With the generous amount of royals that would be present, I figured it would not be so hard to find a lad that fits her type. I just hope someone takes her away from this house already. I don't want to deal with her any longer.

All the people in the house were in a rush. I didn't do any more work involving our masters' things because I might do something unpleasant again. I just focused on cleaning things and stuff-things that I am very familiar with.

Several minutes later, we all lined up with our heads bowed in front of the main doors. One by one, the royal family of Dramsey came down the stairs. There were Nalia, Master Devan, Master Rufino, and Master Ezekiel. Lord and Lady Dramsey went ahead of them because of some business so it's only these four siblings who would be riding to the capital.

"Coraline," I heard Master Devan called. "I will leave the house in your care. I hope nothing happens."

I heard Coraline rush to Master's front and bow.

"Yes, master. You can rely on me."

"And also," Nalia suddenly interrupted. "Can you please take good care of your miserable daughter? Teach her some lessons, will you? Maybe she could be as efficient as you and not spill coffee in any of our clothes."

I tensed up. I could feel the mocking tone in Nalia's voice. When it comes to me, her vicious tongue comes alive.

Did she really have to put me and Coraline in this kind of situation? All the other servants are here.

" A-As you wish, young lady. I will do my best."

Nalia shoved Coraline aside and went on ahead on the carriage. Her brothers followed her one by one until all of them were settled. We stayed outside, seeing them off until they were out of sight. When they were already about a kilometer away, I relieved myself from the tension.

"Genovia. "

I turned around, facing Coraline, my mother. Not by blood but she acts like one. But I just call her Coraline. Calling someone a mother is not to my taste.

I heaved a deep sigh and sagged my shoulders in defeat.

"I spilled the coffee, alright? It's my fault."

She replied to me with a doubtful and worried expression. Her feet inched closer to me, closing the gap between us so she could comb my frizzy hair in place.

"Are you sure? Did Nalia do something again? Just tell me and we'll leave this house. We'll survive without working for them."

I shook my head and grabbed Coraline by her shoulders.

"Coraline, we don't have to. It was really my fault this time. You know how clumsy I am in nature, right?"

We both let out laughter. She held my head and shoved me to her side, enveloping me in a motherly embrace. A few seconds passed and I was the first one to detach myself from her.

" Now, why don't you go and rest now? Seize the moment while the pests are gone, Coraline. I have my session today so you better go on."

She pouted.

"Can't you postpone that? Tell your teacher you need a break."

I chuckled.

"No need. I can manage. I'll go get ready now. And you should rest so I could go."

She sighed in defeat. She knew very well that she could not win against me.

"Fine! But be careful, alright? Come back before morning!"

I nodded at her and bid my goodbyes. As soon as I saw her close the main door, I let out an exasperated sigh. I left the grounds of the House of Dramsey and went my way to my "vampire session".

I wish I could tell Coraline everything. But she doesn't need to know. All she knows was that I was having lessons to bring out the vampire in me. I am certainly a vampire. My eyes turn red in the night and my blood doesn't excite other vampires. But I never ran at lightning speed. I only walked. I would be left out of the gossip because I could never hear from afar. And I avoided Nalia's anger as much as I could because her whips stung like hell and my body could not heal itself. I was a vampire by blood. But I could not feel that I am one.

At last, I arrived at my destination. It was rather a long ride but it was worth it. I had to travel this far if I don't want any acquaintance of mine discovering my late night affairs.

My eyes bore to the familiar sign on the top of the house and I felt my stomach churn. I've been doing this for ages. But I guess, with my pride so high as the sky, this thing still disgusts me.

"Let's get it done already, Genovia."

I walked across the street. I climbed up the mini staircase at the front to reach the door. Julio and Sandro greeted me.

"Leader has been waiting for you," Julio stated.

I just nodded and they opened the doors for me. As soon as the doors opened, the pungent smell of tobacco smoke and the metallic scent of blood reached my nostrils. It seems like the vampires that have gathered here are too wild and liberated just like any other day. Everyone was having a good time. Kissing, licking, having sex, and sucking blood. I could see girls in their naked glory being feasted upon by different vampires. But then again, why do I care? It's not like I am any different.

I walked the familiar path down the room. I walked past these ecstatic vampires and reached for the door to the hidden hallway. My legs continued to walk until I stopped at the only red door in this building. I knocked three times and it didn't even take a second before it opened.

"You're late," McSurwong, our leader, greeted me.

I dismissed his comment and let myself inside. I stood in front of his table and he teleported behind me.

"Do you have any assignments for me?" I asked.

He grabbed both of my shoulders and turned me around to face him.

"I do. Just one for tonight. It's big time and I trust your skills with it. But that can wait."

He moved closer to me, touching the sleeve of my dress. Thanks to it fitting loosely to me, he was able to pull it down and reveal my bare skin. He embraced me by my waist and started putting little kisses from my shoulder to my neck. He backed away a little to meet my eyes.

"How about you let me have some dinner first, Miss Eve?" He whispered.

I smirked. I held the skirt of my dress and pulled it up to remove it. I was not wearing any underwear so now, I am in my naked glory, feeding his lustful eyes. I saw how he licked his lips in anticipation.

" As long as the price is right, you're free to have your dinner."

He didn't waste a second and lifted me to his table. He parted my legs aggressively and squeezed his head inside. His tongue stroked up and down my mound, making me wet. I at least want a decent man to do this to me but I don't care anymore.

I wish I could tell Caroline but I never wished to be a vampire. I have a dream of my own that I never told anyone. And I needed the money. And for that, I got into this. Disgusting, yes, but I have to swallow my pride.

I am a servant at day. But at night, I am a sinful woman. A woman who does disgraceful things, even sells her own body, just to get her hands on a hefty amount of money.
