"I'm gonna show you that a side character can be the main character too."–Herabella Venturi "I beg your pardon?" "You want me to what?!" I asked aloud what a God had said to me. Is he serious right now? "You want me to save... the villainess?" "Over and over again? Do you want me to repeat? Save Princess Melusine Ondine, try not to let her die. " I slapped his forehead and held him on his shoulder. "Look here God... whoever you are. What you are requesting of me is very impossible to happen. " Where I said to him. "Well that's why- "Do you want to break the flow of the story? We are in a novel, a very famous book. You want to make readers angry? You want the story to be boring? " He sighed and sighed. "She's been through a lot, she didn't deserve death." I just calmed myself first. Why was I here again? Ah yes, some random God reincarnated me as a side character to save a villain.

Reincarnated As A Side Character Chapter 1 1

"Ughhh!" I was blinded by the light and also because of the headache. What the- I looked around and saw an unfamiliar room with antique like designs.

Where am I waiting? I'm sure it's not heaven because everything I see is purple. Shouldn't you be white when you're in heaven? Why violet?

"Lady Herabella!" I almost fell for the caller because she came suddenly and hugged me. "Are you... okay now?"

I stared at her, she looks beautiful but she's chubby... if she's slim maybe she's very beautiful. She has lime colored hair that matched her dress even though she is chubby.

Her hair is like algae, the color is nice. When did she color? I also want to go to the salon. But do I know her? and who the heck is Herabella?

The name sounds like a sign. Who even named their child Herabella? Wait, why is the name so familiar?

"Lady Herabella?"

"M-me?" I immediately stood up and looked at a large mirror with a purple design. THIS ISN'T ME! WHO THE HELL-

When did I dye my hair black? I'M SURE I DYED MY HAIR SILVER! why is it so dark and black? And since when do I have this light blue eyes?

I don't wear contact lenses, this isn't me at all! Who is this? But she does look familiar to me.

"Are you okay? Do I need to call the doctor? " I looked at her and approached her. we are the only two in this room.

"Who are you?" I was surprised when suddenly someone helped her tears. is there something wrong with my question?

"This is all that wizard's fault! If he hadn't kicked you hard, you wouldn't have had amnesia! " she said loudly to me.

Wizard who? I was kicked? that's why I have a headache. well whatever, where am I?

She hugged me, even when she was crying, she was so cute. she looks like a puppy, she looks familiar too.

"I'm Princess Melusine Ondine! You're my one and only friend! " I almost wanted to laugh with laughter because of what I heard. Melusine?

"You have the same name as the villain in the story I read earlier when I went downstairs-" I stopped and thought.

"V-villain?" I scratched my head and realized something. D-did I fall down the stairs while reading earlier?

Did I survive... somehow? Or... I looked at myself in the mirror once I don't think of the woman with lime hair. "I-I'm Herabella... Vent... uri?"

Gradually my knees lost their appetite so I collapsed. Herabella Venturi... isn't she that side character who is always with the villain in a story?

I forgot what title but she's definitely that side character. And this fancy looking girl right here is Princess Melusine the villainess of the novel... which means...

I'M IN HERABELLA'S BODY!? WHY AM I HERE?! ISN'T THIS JUST A NOVEL? What? Just wait, isn't the book also to blame for why I had an accident?

Or just because maybe I'm stupid, I fell down the stairs while reading this novel. But why am I here? This doesn't make any sense really. Shouldn't I be deds?

Not to mention I'm a villain in the novel, why am I still in Herabella's body?

The female lead can only be used so that I can taste the hot papa's.

Not just a joke, I didn't type them except for one but of course he wasn't the male lead. He is just one of the knight and shining armor of the female lead, I think his role is a wizard.

"Lady Herabella? Are you okay? Is anything else hurting you? " Is Princess Melusine so modest in the story? Isn't she that evil villain that destroys everything? "You're acting weirdly."

"Pr-Princess Melusine? H-how old are you right now? " none of my own question, if I'm in a novel then...

"Oh I'm 17 right now, turning 18 next week. Did you forget my grand debut? you planned my birthday you know! " she happily reminded me.

I was swallowed up over and over again... sh-she lost herself when the prince broke up with her on her birthday.

Thank God he's not mad today! It's a big problem when she's crazy now, I might slap her in no time.

"Oh and my prince charming told me that he will propose to me that day!" I faked a smile, didn't she know that the good prince's proposal was a 'break-up'?

Are you excited to be a heart broken? God! will start the story on her birthday.

It's because the prince fell in love with Princess Melusine's cousin from another country that day.

Because the prince was so rude, he broke up with Melusine right on the spot.

His proposal was originally to get engaged with Melusine but because he saw the female lead, he broke up with Melusine and proposed to get engaged with the FL.

I don't know why many are angry with Melusine, isn't it the prince's fault why Melusine went crazy?

Are you going to break up on your birthday? Of course you have the right to be angry.

He was mad, he still had no right to embarrass the princess in front of many people. The story was too cliché, I don't know why that novel was so popular.

I don't even like the plot like leaving the villainess like that? Why do they want a toxic prince? Hays also ugly plot.

If I still remember the reason why they became eh Melusine fell in love because she was saved by the male lead one time, she also wooed the prince.

I don't even know why the prince accepted the proposal, it looks like Melusine doesn't like it. "Don't you really remember Lady Herabella?"

To this day I still cringe at the name of this character.

"Uhm Princess, you should call me Hera. B-best friends, aren't we? "

Her face lit up and she nodded, she was different from the novel I read.

She seems kind of sweet and innocent, maybe the break up made her insane.

"T-then you should call me Mel? Princess Mel would be good! " I smiled at her, despite her chubbiness, she is also very cute.

"Then Princess Mel it is." I don't know what's going on and why I'm here but I will find out somehow.

"Oh Lady Hera. Am I leaving first? I'm still going to town with Prince Gareth. He said he also wants to help with the preparation for my birthday. " –Princess Mel

Ah I remember that. Prince Gareth Oval, the crowned prince. The male lead of the story, I really don't like his character because he moves so toxic.

He's obsessive and possessive of the female lead. Princess Erina Chavez, is the one who came to ruin the life of Princess Melusine.

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch—a titan of industry and my best friend’s father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

The heavy thud of the release stamp was the only goodbye I got from the warden after five years in federal prison. I stepped out into the blinding sun, expecting the same flash of paparazzi bulbs that had seen me dragged away in handcuffs, but there was only a single black limousine idling on the shoulder of the road. Inside sat my mother and sister, clutching champagne and looking at my frayed coat with pure disgust. They didn't offer a welcome home; instead, they tossed a thick legal document onto the table and told me I was dead to the city. "Gavin and I are getting engaged," my sister Mia sneered, flicking a credit card at me like I was a stray dog. "He doesn't need a convict ex-fiancée hanging around." Even after I saved their lives from an armed kidnapping attempt by ramming the attackers off the road, they rewarded me by leaving me stranded in the dirt. When I finally ran into Gavin, the man who had framed me, he pinned me against a wall and threatened to send me back to a cell if I ever dared to show my face at their wedding. They had stolen my biotech research, ruined my name, and let me rot for half a decade while they lived off my brilliance. They thought they had broken me, leaving me with nothing but an expired chapstick and a few old photos in a plastic bag. What they didn't know was that I had spent those five years becoming "Dr. X," a shadow consultant with five hundred million dollars in crypto and a secret that would bring the city to its knees. I wasn't just a victim anymore; I was a weapon, and I was pregnant with the heir they thought they had erased. I walked into the Melton estate and made an offer to the most powerful man in New York. "I'll save your grandfather's life," I told Horatio Melton, staring him down. "But the price is your last name. I'm taking back what's mine, and I'm starting with the man who thinks he's marrying my sister."

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.

I had just survived a private jet crash, my body a map of violet bruises and my lungs still burning from the smoke. I woke up in a sterile hospital room, gasping for my husband's name, only to realize I was completely alone. While I was bleeding in a ditch, my husband, Adam, was on the news smiling at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. When I tracked him down at the hospital's VIP wing, I didn't find a grieving husband. I found him tenderly cradling his ex-girlfriend, Casie, in his arms, his face lit with a protective warmth he had never shown me as he carried her into the maternity ward. The betrayal went deeper than I could have imagined. Adam admitted the affair started on our third anniversary-the night he claimed he was stuck in London for a merger. Back at the manor, his mother had already filled our planned nursery with pink boutique bags for Casie's "little princess." When I demanded a divorce, Adam didn't flinch. He sneered that I was "gutter trash" from a foster home and that I'd be begging on the streets within a week. To trap me, he froze my bank accounts, cancelled my flight, and even called the police to report me for "theft" of company property. I realized then that I wasn't his partner; I was a charity case he had plucked from obscurity to manage his life. To the Hortons, I was just a servant who happened to sleep in the master bedroom, a "resilient" woman meant to endure his abuse in silence while the whole world laughed at the joke that was my marriage. Adam thought stripping me of his money would make me crawl back to him. He was wrong. I walked into his executive suite during his biggest deal of the year and poured a mug of sludge over his original ten-million-dollar contracts. Then, right in front of his board and his mistress, I stripped off every designer thread he had ever paid for until I was standing in nothing but my own silk camisole. "You can keep the clothes, Adam. They're as hollow as you are." I grabbed my passport, turned my back on his billions, and walked out of that glass tower barefoot, bleeding, and finally free.
