Chapter 1 Flash Marriage

Flash Marriage

9pm on a lovely evening.

Tin Sue's fiancé picked her up and drove her home to their apartment after she had consumed a little too much alcohol during her bachelorette party. Gaining consciousness, she wrenched open her eyelids, fighting back an agonizing migraine. She could see, as her vision cleared, the silhouette of a man and woman sharing a passionate kiss beneath the barely illuminated chamber.

Tin Sue stared at the two as they continued to kiss by her bedside, as if they had just been hit by a thunderbolt. Her fury started to boil within of her.

"Feng, stop messing around, Tin Sue only just fell asleep!" The guy issued a warning as he held the woman down by her waist,.

What? Do you think your fiancée might wake up? With a tone of irritation, Long Feng replied, "You're getting married tomorrow. How about giving yourself to me this evening?

With a seductive smile, the man said, "Baby, you are such a troublemaker. Let's go to the other room."

"Nah! This is where I want to do it! I'd like to do it in front of her. The man's shirt was quickly unfastened by Long Feng, and their lips met again.

Though Tin Sue made an effort to stop crying, she could feel the tears slowly seeping down her cheeks. Who would have imagined that the man she was about to marry the following day would be having an affair in her presence?

"Restrain yourself, and let's get to the restroom. Isn't your favourite spot to be in the bathtub?

"Fine then, you go in and fill up the bathtub first..." Long Feng prodded the man's chest in the direction of the restroom. She casually strolled over to Tin Sue as soon as the man left the room. She leaned over and said, "Tin Sue, I'm not going to let you and Yu Fan sign those papers tomorrow," with a chilly smile. He's mine, and I'm pregnant!"

Tiny Sue balled her fists into a fist, trying not to show her feelings or make a sound. Her world did not completely collapse until she heard the couple's moaning noises coming from the restroom.

Tin Sue used to be the top model in Beijing, three years ago. But because of this man, she abandoned everything and surrendered to Long Feng her well-earned position. In the end, it was as though, everything she accomplished was just to get someone else's wedding dress ready. No, this had to be a dream-just a terrible nightmare-because tomorrow things will return to normal!

Tin Sue kept lying to herself. Leading Mo Jagan out of the hotel, Long Feng complained of feeling ill till halfway through the night. Mo Jagan was then persuaded to depart and not to return.

But tomorrow was going to be be their wedding day!

As arranged, Tin Sue drove with a bitter smile to the Civil Affairs office the following day. She called Mo Jagan as she got out of her vehicle. Coldly responding, the speaker on the other end said, "I have to take care of this urgent situation first since Long Feng was hurt on stage. We should move the registration to a different day."

'Another day' does not exist, Tin Sue informed herself with disappointment.

Tin Sue prepared to depart after turning around and donning her sunglasses when she noticed a towering figure approaching. She couldn't help but notice the masculine physique complemented by the tailored dark blue throwback suit underneath, and the subtle peek of a wine-red handkerchief out of the front chest pocket caught her attention. Tin Sue peered down and saw that the legs were completely straight and that they led to a pair of brown leather shoes that were shining brightly in the sunlight.

This man exuded a powerful presence akin to that of a mediaeval monarch!

Even though he was wearing sunglasses, his finely chiselled face and seductive lips were enough to make any lady go crazy, especially as he drew nearer.

This individual was identified by Tin Sue as Chan Rai, the CEO of Yin Dui Entertainment. They had met at a ball once, back when she was still quite famous.

Does he have a wedding today too?

The assistant behind him exclaimed, "President, Miss He has not arrived on time...she is late by 10 minutes!"

"Ring the He family and tell them: if they can't even be on time to a wedding, then don't bother coming at all," the man replied bitterly.

"But the chairman ordered that you, under all circumstances, get married today. The assistant hesitantly answered, "Even if you were to marry a deformed lady, he wouldn't care."

"Then, just pick any randomly young lady from the elite families...I'll give you half an hour..." the man said. He seemed a little out of control.

although his situation a little different, he has a similar problem.

Chan Rai was so powerful that he could pick any woman he desired. Moreover, despite being one of the most eligible bachelors, he put his elders' pressure to get married ahead of love.

Tin Sue had an idea all of a sudden. She removed her sunglasses, stepped in front of the man, and said, "May I suggest we get married? Your bride hasn't arrived, and my groom has run away."

The assistant to Chan Rai stood in shock, wondering how such a brave woman could be.

Tin Sue took a confident stance, having mustered all her bravery for this.

When Chan Rai took off his sunglasses, his pupils sparkled like diamonds and his eyes were as dark as ink. After a little while, he turned to face his helper and gave the command, "Give me her details!"

Naturally, Tin Sue's identity was already known to Chan Rai's assistant. Grabbing his cell phone, he swiftly looked up Tin Sue's name and presented his findings to his employer. After two minutes, the man's lips quirked slightly and he said, "OK!" in response.

Tin Sue considered herself extremely fortunate to have met Chan Rai. Not only did he not need love, but he also had plenty of women to have sex with. This left him with no motive to use a woman.

In the end, she desired Mo Jagan to feel sorrow for his choice!

The couple's wedding proceedings were completed in a timely manner. Tin Sue had the marriage license in her hands in less than thirty minutes. She was a married woman from this point on.

"President Chan, may I have a few words with you?"

"Get in the car!" Chan Rai exited the registration hall and put his sunglasses back on.

Tin Sue trailed in close succession. She asked, "Thank you for marrying me," after taking a worried glance at Chan Rai after boarding the Rolls-Royce. Please let me know if there is anything you need from me in return, and I will help. But I hope you can agree to comply with these two small demands of mine."

"Speak!" With a weary expression, Chan Rai undid his collar and replied.

"First off, please don't disclose our relationship until you are forced to. Secondly, please refrain from meddling in my private affairs. You need not be concerned; as we are married, I won't associate too much with another man."

Chan Rai listened to Tin Sue's wishes and then grinned a little. "I promise you...but, after I give you some time to tidy up your past, I want us to have a trial marriage," a menacing atmosphere rushed through the automobile. I'll make our marriage public after six months."

"Thank you!" Sue Tinny nodded.

Furthermore, I don't think a married couple ought to live apart! You have three days to gather up everything you own and relocate to the location of my choosing. My helper will get in contact with you.

Tin Sue was unaffected. This kind of request made sense, since they were now married. She dutifully nodded her head in response, saying, "I agree!"

"Good!"

Tin Sue exited Chan Rai's car and drove off after the two verbally agreed. After settling into the driver's seat and glancing at Chan Rai through the rearview mirror, Chan Rai's assistant said, "President, should we head back to the office? Or would you like to go back to the mansion and break the news to the chairman?"

"Follow Tin Sue and report her every move to me!" Chan Rai gave an instruction and got out of the automobile.

Something must have happened for her to ask him to marry her so suddenly!

Naturally, being the head of a global entertainment company, he was familiar with Tin Sue. She was banned three years ago after abruptly turning down an offer from Moon Bliss, the leading entertainment agency, despite being a well-known model at the time. She eventually revealed that she was going to join with Haiyra Entertainment, and this made her a major talking point with Mo Jagan, the boss.

I watched my husband sign the papers that would end our marriage while he was busy texting the woman he actually loved. He didn't even glance at the header. He just scribbled the sharp, jagged signature that had signed death warrants for half of New York, tossed the file onto the passenger seat, and tapped his screen again. "Done," he said, his voice devoid of emotion. That was Dante Moretti. The Underboss. A man who could smell a lie from a mile away but couldn't see that his wife had just handed him an annulment decree disguised beneath a stack of mundane logistics reports. For three years, I scrubbed his blood out of his shirts. I saved his family's alliance when his ex, Sofia, ran off with a civilian. In return, he treated me like furniture. He left me in the rain to save Sofia from a broken nail. He left me alone on my birthday to drink champagne on a yacht with her. He even handed me a glass of whiskey—her favorite drink—forgetting that I despised the taste. I was merely a placeholder. A ghost in my own home. So, I stopped waiting. I burned our wedding portrait in the fireplace, left my platinum ring in the ashes, and boarded a one-way flight to San Francisco. I thought I was finally free. I thought I had escaped the cage. But I underestimated Dante. When he finally opened that file weeks later and realized he had signed away his wife without looking, the Reaper didn't accept defeat. He burned down the world to find me, obsessed with reclaiming the woman he had already thrown away.

I spent four hours preparing a five-course meal for our fifth anniversary. When Jackson finally walked into the penthouse an hour late, he didn't even look at the table. He just dropped a thick Manila envelope in front of me and told me he was done. He said his stepsister, Davida, was getting worse and needed "stability." I wasn't his wife; I was a placeholder, a temporary fix he used until the woman he actually loved was ready to take my place. Jackson didn't just want a divorce; he wanted to erase me. He called me a "proprietary asset," claiming that every design I had created to save his empire belonged to him. He froze my bank accounts, cut off my phone, and told me I’d be nothing without his name. Davida even called me from her hospital bed to flaunt the family heirloom ring Jackson claimed was lost, mocking me for being "baggage" that was finally being cleared out. I stood in our empty home, realizing I had spent five years being a martyr for a man who saw me as a transaction. I couldn't understand how he could be so blind to the monster he was protecting, or how he could discard me so coldly after I had given him everything. I grabbed my hidden sketchbook, shredded our wedding portrait, and walked out into the rain. I dialed a number I hadn't touched in years—a dangerous man known as The Surgeon who dealt in debts and shadows. I told him I was ready to pay his price. Jackson and Davida wanted to steal my identity, but I was about to show the world the literal scars they had left behind.

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.
