Chapter 1 1

Faith's POV:

"Lady Faith are you listening? Are you with us?"

I came back to my trance when our Prof called me. I nodded and looked straight ahead. Why am I spacing out? My mind is flying again. Here I am, Faith. Focus on studying first.

Just as the bell rang, our Prof went out, I thought I would be scolded even more. I breathed a sigh of relief. Dylan's cold gaze met my eyes.

"Why is there a problem?" I asked him.

Dylan just shook his head and fixed his things. In the past two days, he has been cold towards me. I'm just sad.

I can only ask myself if I did something wrong? Is there something wrong with me? To us? Or did I miss something? Hey, I don't know.

We walked together to the cafeteria. We are silent, I am not used to his treatment like this. He is really cold.

"Dylan are we alright?" I asked him and stopped walking.

"Of course." He said blankly and continued walking without looking at me.

There were tears in my eyes but I immediately wiped them and chased after him. We entered the cafeteria and suddenly Dylan's mood changed.

"Hey, how are you?" He greeted our friends and sat down first.

I smiled at them so my two female friends wouldn't notice. Dixon and Turnitin ordered now.

Why so? Even though we were in hell and it was hot, I could feel Dylan's piercing cold gaze. I want to pull him and talk to him about why he is like that but I don't have the courage.

We ate but I didn't say much. They are loud and when I am asked I just nod my head. George noticed that he asked me.

"Faith, are you okay? You seem to be quiet right now?" George asked.

"I'm fine, I just feel bad." I said smiling.

"Oh Faith, maybe you're pregnant. We're dead." Dixon teased so Prime threw a fork at him.

I just shook my head at Dixon's stupidity. That's crazy, I thought I was going to get pregnant, Prime said that's not the case.

Nolanth and I did real vampire sex considering vampires. Nolanth is paying for what he did now but he said to me when we talked, "I just removed the bond on your body, you will thank me one day," he said.

But Nolanth's parents told me that only with vampires can that be considered vampire sex. That's why it's said to be a vampire.

We finished eating and went to the meeting room. Dad called us for a meeting. It looks like they have something to announce.

We went to the meeting room together but Dylan still treated me coldly. Is it because of what happened in the past? I need to talk to him later. Even I would be jealous then. I just don't want to dwell on what happened and I might lose my mind forever.

We entered the meeting room. The Sinners are complete because Dylan is with us.

"You all sit down." Father's order.

We sat down, Dylan sat next to me. I thought he wouldn't sit beside me anymore, I was really sulking. I felt a little joy.

"This meeting is for the upcoming meeting of angels and demons in a week. Fiend, you explain." Dad called Fiend.

"In a week when the meeting of angels and demons will be held. George, Lyra, Dixon, and you Faith will be there. You have to prepare for whatever may happen. We know Medan, for sure he has planned something again. " Bella's introduction.

"Are we going back?" Dixon asked.

Lyra is not there because she is still in the vampire clan. She was there temporarily because of Kief. What will Medan's reaction be?

"Yes, your suspension is over. But it just depends if you don't want to come back and join the uprising that will happen." Belle answered.

"We will fight for the rights of humanity against Medan. That angel-like demon must be deposed from his throne. If we don't do that, he will enslave everyone for the rest of his life." My father explained.

"Should we rebel? How?" Dylan asked.

I looked at him. There is a trace of curiosity in his eyes. I hope that when he talks to me, he is also interested.

"Through George, Dixon, and Lyra. If they are on our side we can establish the war between heaven and earth." Dad answered.

So many will be hurt? But why is there still a need for war when we can have a good conversation? But I also don't think that will work for him. Those angels are too sadistic and passionate.

That Medan did set up Conqueror Games for his own fun. The demons were made an excuse because they are like pawns or slaves, he is also the one who benefits because he is the one who controls everything.

Our meeting continued and they explained some more. It was also said that we will not enter again tomorrow because we will be going to the Upper World first to train.

Our meeting ended and we went out as friends. I had just followed Dylan when my father called me so I turned my gaze to him.

"Why?" I asked and approached him.

He was left behind, Uncle Mephisto and Ms. Ruller here. It seems they all have something to explain to me.

"Faith, don't be surprised by what we say." Introduction by Ms. Ruller.

"I'm used to being surprised. What is that? What are you going to say?" I asked. I was taken to Dylan when they said we were in the hospital.

"Celestia is still alive, Faith. Your mother is alive." Dad said so I screamed.

"What!?" I asked the three of them in disbelief.

How did that happen? My two eyes clearly saw the horrible death of my mother in the Conqueror Games. Her brutal death that tightened my fist.

"That's true, so you need to get stronger so we can get your mother back. We found out she's still alive because of the angel's bond she placed on you. That bond has been holding back your emotions since you were a child. Your power is out. Your emotions control your ability, Faith. So you have to be careful using it from now on." Dad's explanation made my tears fall.

I hugged him and cried on his shoulder. I could feel him rubbing my back. Is this the feeling of a father's love? It will be more fun if we are complete.

"Sit down, Faith. You're too big to cry anyway." Dad said so I let go of our hug and hit him.

For seventeen years, I was the pride of the Carlisle family, the perfect daughter destined to inherit an empire. But that life ended the moment a DNA report slid across my father’s mahogany desk. The paper proved I was a stranger. Vanessa, the girl sobbing in the corner, was the real biological daughter they had been searching for. "You need to leave. Tonight. Before the press gets wind of this. Before the stock prices dip." My father’s voice was as cold as flint. My mother wouldn't even look at me, staring out the window at the gardens as if I were already a ghost. Just like that, I was erased. I left behind the Birkin bags and the diamonds, throwing my Centurion Card into a crystal bowl with a clatter that echoed like a gunshot. I walked out into the cold night and climbed into a rusted Ford Taurus driven by a man I had never met—my biological father. I went from a mansion to a fourth-floor walk-up in Queens that smelled of laundry detergent and struggle. My new siblings looked at me with a mix of fear and disgust, waiting for the "fallen princess" to break. They expected me to beg for my old life back, to crumble without the luxury I’d known since birth. But they didn't know the truth. I had spent years training in a shark tank, honing survival skills they couldn't imagine. While Richard Carlisle froze my trust funds to starve me out, my net worth was climbing by millions on an encrypted trading app. They thought they were throwing me to the wolves. They didn't realize they were just letting me off my leash. As the Carlisles prepared to debut Vanessa at the Manhattan Arts Gala, I was already making my move. "Get dressed. We're going to a party."
