Cassie who is the rightful Luna and mate of Alpha Adam is rejected because Alpha Adam thinks she’s too young to handle the affairs of a pack, but then they can’t seem to keep their hands off of each other. Cassie will give it all she’s got to prove to him that she can handle a pack and she can be his Luna, but she has to overcome his chosen Luna, will she be able to get her rightful position, or will she be his mate in name only?
Chapter 1 The Party
Cassie’s POV:
"CASSIE!!!" I heard my mom shout from the kitchen.
"Coming mother" I said as I rushed to put on my red hoodie over the blue jeans I was wearing. I quickly sprayed my perfumes and left the room.
I went down to a kitchen filled with the smell of my mother's delicious bacon.
"Come baby, come sit here" mom says while patting the stool beside her "tomorrow's your 18th birthday!!" Mom squeals excitedly and we both start giggling.
"I'm so excited mama. I honestly can't wait to see my wolf and more importantly meet my mate" I say while dancing around the kitchen. I stop dancing and go sit beside my mom again
“What time do we go shopping mom?” I ask, “I’d love to go now if you down”
“OH MY GOD darling, you look so beautiful” my mom says looking both surprised and proud when I eventually stepped out of the change room. I had chosen to wear a white body fitting gown with beautiful red and blue flower patterns on it. It was off-shouldered with a v neckline. It brought out my curves in a sophisticated and classy way. I definitely loved the gown and from the look of things mom loved it too.
Smiling, I do a 360 for mom. “I am definitely taking this mom” I say excitedly
“It will be absolutely perfect for the occasion since i'll probably meet my mate tomorrow” I say.
“I had found the perfect gown for the occasion” I think to myself while smiling
“You beautiful young woman, just make sure to enjoy your day in every possible way” mom says smiling proudly, “and I hope you meet your mate as well”
Scrunching my face, a little, I say “I am sure I’ll meet my mate tomorrow. The Goddess won’t delay things for me. I have been diligently training for this since I was 8, I’m confident I’ll make a wonderful Luna just like you mom”
“Come here baby” mom says, “come give your mama a hug”
I walk up to her, when I get to where she is, she hugs me and then starts talking in my ear “I’m so proud of the woman you are growing into, and I know you will make an excellent Luna just like me. Capable of managing her pack and satisfying her alpha in every way possible”
I smile and nod even as tears well in my eyes “I’ll always make you proud momma, always. I love you”
“I love you too baby. Momma loves you alot tt” mom says
“Alright, alright. Now let’s go check out the jewelry section” mom says with a huge grin on her face. I laugh happily and follow her. Moms best part of shopping is jewelry shopping, she definitely loved her jewelry even more than her clothes.
