If anyone had told me years back that my dream would be turning into a reality by this time, I'd
have denied it with all my strength.
With my eyes beaming with smiles, I stood at a corner in my office, gazing out at the bustling
cars and movement going on in the city from where I was. It was a skyscraper, and though the
cars and humans appeared very distant, and I continued viewing them with so much interest.
My mind wandered again to the project I had proposed to my board of directors earlier this
morning, and I could not help but wonder where I got the energy from.
Reminiscing on my own painful past, I had pictured that this project just has to be a successful
one. Hence, I have to find a very good architect and engineer to help me work on this.
I had gotten the land for the project years back. I remembered I had secured the land with the
money I got from a big business contract my boss gave me while I was working as his personal
assistant.
The biggest and orphanage home like no other, a sanctuary for children to grow and thrive, this
has been my dream, and soon, it'll become a reality.
I've known and experienced the scars of abandonment and the longing for a safe haven. And,
now, with my wealth and influence, I am determined to create a place where no child would
ever feel alone or unloved.

It's evening time and my secretary came knocking at my door. I wonder why she's here even
after telling her I need no disturbance all through today. "Open!" I answered, loud enough for her
to here.
"Good evening, sir. I am sorry to disturb you right now but I have good news. Of everyone that
signed up for the project that was announced today, I'm pleased to inform you that we finally find
the right person for the job." She said.
I nodded my head positively to show her I was listening. "Okay... fix up a meeting with him and
send me his professional details." I replied to her. My voice showed that it is a matter of urgency
and I'm sure she knows better than to allow a delay in sending it.
"She's a female, sir. She's Eloise Thompson." She replied. "She?" I mumbled with an iota of
displeasure on my face. I'm not gender biased, but why a female? "Ugh! Not again with this
gender." I thought. "Alright, whatever." I waved her off.
God knows I've had enough encounter with ladies and Ms. Eloise Timothy or whatever, Sia
called her should better do the best. Yes, Sia, that is my secretary's name.
"Time to go home, gosh!" I said, stretching myself out as I reached out for the telephone on my
table to call my driver. I still could not believe I had spent the whole day being busy. The plan
was to announce the project at the meeting and leave for hangouts with my guys. Well, not after
Sia came in with lots of schedules and unattended works.

"Drive me to Peter's place." I said to the driver as I entered into the car. Peter had been my long
friend since we were little. People often said we look like twins, and our names did a little justice
to people's thoughts. Yes, Phillip and Peter. I remember some married couples came over to the
orphanage home and said they would love to adopt both of us, and I could still picture the smiles
that played on our faces back then to know that we were finally leaving the orphanage home.
Only for our happiness to be cut short when we never heard from nor see the couples after that
day. Peter has been my very good friend, and while we were growing up, I remember we do
share things together. We were far from looking alike, but we have the same height and our
complexions matched greatly.
"We are here, sir." My driver said, jolting me out from my thoughts. "Oh! That was fast. Thanks." I
replied, coming out from the car. "I hope this guy is alone and possibly not in the room making
out with some slut." I thought and yet that is another difference between us. Peter loves women.
Not me though, not even after what transpired between Betty and I. It's got to be a story for
another day.
"Hey, man. You are home?" I said loud enough for anyone in the house to hear. You should not
ask but I know the passcode to his house and I come here anytime I have to also. "Peter!" I
shouted after I got no response from before. "Where could he be?" I thought.
It then dawned on me. "I should have called him to know his whereabouts." I muttered bringing
out my phone from my pocket and dialing his number.
"Hey, Phillip. I'm not home. I'm at the hotel with some ladies." I heard him say hurriedly from the
other end as the line went off. "Haew! What a guy." I muttered as I take my leave.

Next day, my office.
"What are my schedules for the day, Sia?" I asked my secretary as I walked hurriedly into my
office room. "Cancel out anything that sounds like a stress in that schedule. Shift them till
tomorrow." I added.
"Alright, sir. You're meeting with Ms. Eloise." She replied immediately. "And?..." I asked,
stopping on my tracks. "That's all, sir. She should be here soon and we'll proceed with the
meeting." She said.
"Isn't meeting Ms. Eloise a supposed stress, too?" I asked seemingly. As much as this project is
important to me, I'd rather prefer working with a male to a woman.
"Good morning! Hope I'm not late." I heard a young voice say, and though it came out in a rush, I
could have sworn that is the most sweetest voice I've heard in a while...
