Chapter 1 First

Recounting Audrey's birth into the Henshaw family, consisting of werewolf parents hiding in an abandoned castle basement, the night brought the infamous bloodthirsty Vaewolves group's emergence. Audrey, the sole daughter with two elder brothers aged thirteen and eight, found herself at the center of the scene. As Vaewolves began their hunt for sustenance, taking on various shapes ranging from bats to wolves, with preferences for flesh or animals, tensions rose for the Henshaw parents concerning the newborn's meal. In response to Mrs. Henshaw's suggestion of hunting for Audrey, Mr.

Henshaw firmly rebutted her notion.Mrs. Henshaw expressed her concern, stating, "I cannot idly stand by and watch our infant go hungry." In response, Mr. Henshaw firmly declared, "I will go alone, and that decision is final." Annie, observing her husband Craig preparing weapons for his safety, knew the dangers associated with his upcoming mission. Before departing, Craig kissed Annie on the forehead and expressed his love, instructing her to care for their children in his absence to preserve his lineage. Touched, Annie shed a few tears and smiled, telling him, 'Stay safe, my love.' Despite her attempts to follow him, Craig remained focused solely on procuring food for their newborn. As he ventured out, Craig unexpectedly encountered a vaewolf, poised to attack. Despite his efforts with garlic and his firearm, the situation was escalating rapidly. The Vaewolf's miraculous healing abilities left Craig astonished and struggling to come to terms with the situation. As Annie bravely intervened, sacrificing herself to save him, time seemed to fluctuate, compressing days into mere minutes. Craig's desperate attempts to save Annie were met with her poignant farewell, urging him to prioritize his own safety. Despite his overwhelming grief, Craig channeled his anguish into a fierce confrontation with the Vaewolf, demanding answers for the senseless violence. The tumultuous battle raged on through the night, with Craig refusing to back down despite sustaining injuries. Though aware of his inferiority against the formidable foe, Craig's determination and anger fueled his unwavering resolve. The outcome remained uncertain, with the fates of both Craig and the Vaewolf hanging in the balance.Throughout the night, a fierce battle ensued until nearly sunset, leading one individual to believe they had gained the advantage. In a decisive moment, the vaewolf swiftly subdued their opponent, seizing the firearm and ultimately ending the conflict. As Mr. Henshaw struggled for breath in his final moments before transitioning back to a human state, a deeply affected Louis silently observed the unfolding events from the concealment of the woods, shedding tears of sorrow. With the imminent arrival of sunrise, all vaewolves collectively retreated to their lair. Witnessing this tragic event only served to heighten Louis's abhorrence towards vaewolves, vampires, and werewolves, while also confronting the unsettling realization that he did not belong to any of those supernatural categories, much to the astonishment of his parents. The seeds of a vengeful quest were sown within him. Bereft of sustenance to offer his sister, who endured a hungry night, Louis set out on his bicycle at dusk towards his Uncle's dwelling, located not far from his current position, perched atop a hill.During his journey, he was able to perceive the unsettling noises and odor of decaying corpses left behind from the previous night's vaewolf hunt. Upon arriving at his Uncle's residence, he rapped on the door which opened noiselessly as he stepped inside, calling out for his Uncle Dakota. The door closed gently behind him. Upon seeing Louis, Uncle Dakota reached for his glasses from the shelf to get a better view. He greeted Louis as his favorite young man, observing tears streaming down his cheeks. Louis, in distress, revealed that his parents had fallen victim to the vaewolves the night before. Uncle Dakota was deeply shocked by this news and immediately felt compassion for Louis. He inquired about Louis' siblings, learning that they were hiding in the basement. As a scientist and a vaewolf himself, Uncle Dakota accompanied Louis to the basement to retrieve the children.During the burial ceremony for Mr. and Mrs. Henshaw, only Louis and Uncle Dakota both hosted and attended the event. Dakota informed them to make themselves at home and shared that he had informed his wife about their extended stay at their location. Louis and Blake expressed their gratitude towards Uncle Dakota for the news. Despite this, Blake still inquired about the whereabouts of their parents. Louis responded by giving his brother a warm embrace and stated, 'They are now in a better place.' Dakota had to convene a meeting in his capacity as the leader of the various vaewolf clans. Upon asking which clan had been active the previous day, the dimly lit hall fell silent for a full five minutes. Eventually, the renowned bloodthirsty Vaewolves admitted amidst laughter that they had been the ones hunting that day. The audience responded with laughter and encouragement. Dakota then commanded, 'Silence!' and proceeded to inquire, 'Are you aware that you have killed my brother?' Instantly, the hall fell silent once more, as they collectively expressed, 'We are deeply saddened by this news, Dakota.'During an encounter with the leader of the Devil Eclipse clan, one remarked if the individual in question was the disliked brother who had been feigning affection all along. In response, Dakota affirmed this assumption with a smirk, indicating that death was not far from the brother. Fast forward three years, Louis, now 16 years old, attends a typical human school while his siblings, Blake and Aubrey, are enrolled in an All Werewolf School named Everything Werewolf. On the day of the full moon, Louis pondered that his brother Blake has reached the age to undergo the werewolf transformation. Throughout that fateful day at school, Louis experienced severe dizziness and headaches, leading to loss of consciousness and necessitating a visit to the school health bay. The nurse provided prescribed medications and requested Hero, Louis' friend, to retrieve them. Hero aided Louis in rising from the bed, administering the medications, and attempting to uplift Louis' spirits. Following these events, the nurse instructed Hero to ensure Louis' rest and advised against any disturbance.Without a moment's hesitation, Hero placed a comforting hand on Louis's shoulder before departing. As the crickets chirped monotonously and the hallway door creaked, and the keys jingled in the health bay, Louis gradually succumbed to sleep. He found himself in a faint and eerie state, clearly displaying fear. Louis had been laboring in the woods when he unexpectedly tumbled into a pit, leading him to a sinister castle resembling a meeting hall. Inside, he observed various clans celebrating boisterously, as if they had hit the jackpot. Amid their jubilation, a commanding voice called for silence. He then bore witness to the haunting scene of his parents' murder, trapped in a seemingly endless time loop. Awakening shortly before the full moon, Louis implored to return home and seek rest, prompting the nurse to summon Hero to accompany him.Hero had been inquiring about visiting Louis's house for the past two and a half years, expressing his desire to meet his parents. However, Louis always brushed off the requests to avoid revealing the presence of vampires in the area. Louis asked Hero to meet at a nearby supermarket where Annie, Dakota's wife, often spent her days to earn money and escape her marriage to a vaewolf. Upon seeing Louis, Annie sensed something was amiss and rushed to his aid. After exchanging brief pleasantries, Hero left Louis with Annie and drove off to his house.Annie inquired why Louis didn't call for a ride from school. Louis, unable to respond, expressed his belief that everything was going to be fine. Annie then took Louis home, prepared chicken soup to alleviate his fever, but unfortunately, his temperature rose again. Eventually, his fever subsided, allowing him to rest. With the full moon approaching, only Annie remained at home while Dakota was busy coordinating the clans to eliminate werewolves set to transform that night. To ensure safety, she confined Aubrey, Blake, and Louis in separate cages and secured herself from potential harm by locking away any form of violence. The full moon had risen, illuminating each of the individuals in their separate enclosures through a solitary window. Blake gazed intently, attempting various methods to resist, yet ultimately failing. Audrey, although fearful of the unfolding events, remained undisturbed enough to slumber soundly. Meanwhile, Louis found himself experiencing unease as the moon's light played tricks on his mind, resulting in sharper teeth, rapid hair growth, elongated claws, strengthened calf muscles enabling him to walk on tiptoes, heightened sense of smell and intuition, heightened aggression, and a tendency towards biting. The sudden sound of a werewolf's howl echoing from a nearby room caught Annie's attention. Although uncertain of the exact identity of the transformed individual, she was filled with an inexplicable sense of joy.Upon sunrise, Louis, who had been sleeping as a werewolf, was gently touched by sunlight and transformed back into a human. Annie freed all the captives, but she was surprised to see Louis still asleep. When she asked Blake if he had transformed, he replied that he had not. Despite this, Annie heard a distant wolf howl, leaving her puzzled. She checked on Audrey, her little werewolf version of Sleeping Beauty, who was thrilled to see her aunt and happy to leave her cage. Louis, who had skipped school for the first time due to waking up late and experiencing uncontrollable muscle aches, decided to recover by taking a stroll into the woods. There, he stood by the dark, tranquil lake and threw stones into it, enjoying his solitude. However, he noticed a presence watching him from the woods. An enigmatic entity, reminiscent of a shadow, possessed an indistinct form yet emanated a chilling aura with a blending of orange and red eyes. Louis could perceive this malign presence, causing him to shift from a werewolf to a human at a rapid pace of fifteen transformations per second. Surpassing the speed of light, this mysterious being eventually triggered a permanent transformation of Louis into a werewolf. Louis did not regard this matter lightly; he attempted to pursue the creature but was obstructed and engaged in a formidable struggle. The entity urged him to manage his fury and direct it towards individuals, particularly young werewolves and vampires. Speaking in a low murmur, the mysterious figure repeated the phrases: 'Continue to fight, harness your rage, continue to fight, control your abilities,' as if endeavoring to assist Louis in mastering his transformations. The encounter led to Louis falling onto the ground in the forest, struggling to apprehend the mysterious figure and inquire about certain matters, only to see it vanish. Subsequently, Louis stood up, returned home, hastily showered, and vented his frustration on the wall while reflecting on his choices. Despite his efforts to cleanse himself of guilt and conflicted feelings, he remained distressed by the temptation to embrace the werewolves rather than oppose them. Eventually, his anger during the shower triggered a transformation from human to werewolf and back.
