Chapter 1 The wolf of intimidation

I came home to hide from the beast that had interrupted my work. It couldn't be logical for a wolf of that size to be chasing me. It couldn't be real. For a moment I thought I was having a terrible nightmare and wanted to wake up. But this was very real.

"You won't get away from me, Sara." He said, his rough, terrifying voice shaking my bones.

The chase was coming to an end, I could not escape from this demonic beast that possessed impressive speed.

I stared at him in utter shock, and when he returned to his human form, I was stunned. It was him, my classmate I had ignored for so long. He was strong, handsome, with jet black hair and piercing eyes that were just as dark.

"What do you want, Mark?" I asked, trembling and trying to cover my wheat-colored face with my hands.

I didn't even have time to ask for help before he was carrying me in his huge arms. He was overwhelmingly strong and I had no idea who to turn to for help. I lived alone in my flat.

I woke up bone numb, in a soft feather bed. I saw him sitting next to me, his body showing the tattoos that made him look so dangerous. Fear coursed down my back and I groped to cover myself with my blankets, the neckline of my shirt not hiding my femininity.

"This is how I wanted to have you; don't you remember me?" Mark asked, running his hand down my neck as if he was about to kill me.

I wanted to pretend I didn't care, that would be better for his fury, but I wasn't a liar. That handsome man had been a shy teenager whom I'd turned down for the school dance a thousand times and denied him every date. He was so changed, even if he still had those characteristic deep eyes.

"You're a wolf" I began to say, stuttering.

"Yes, and you'll be my mate. But that doesn't make me hate you any less" He stood up abruptly and pulled the blanket off me, exposing me.

My senses sharpened and my heart galloped uncontrollably.

"I don't understand a word you're saying" I pleaded, fearing for my life.

He was covered in blood; I could see him well when he stood up. He was a killer, an unrestrained beast who now had complete control over me. I spotted the closed door and silently wailed.

You will do as I say, you are my property now, and I assure you I will avenge past rejections. -Her mischievous smile shone; her teeth gleamed.

A hand reached for a rope on the bedside table, which could mean anything. My blood ran cold again as she threw it to the floor.

"You scare so easily, Sara, but you weren't so scared when you ignored me and laughed at my letters..." she pursed her lips.

Mark threw himself gently on top of me, squeezing my neck between his hands and sinking his nose into my throat. This was crazy, he was a wolf and he had kidnapped me for revenge. He pulled my clothes off and slid his hands down my legs. The feeling changed, I wasn't afraid anymore, but a part of me was getting wet and I didn't want to admit it.

I tried to look away from his presence, but it was impossible. His face was perfect, mysterious, and at the same time there was an evil in it that I couldn't describe. I was attracted to him, and that made me hate him even more, because I couldn't help but be seduced by his imposing bearing and his otherworldly touch.

He put some handcuffs on my wrists and let out an evil chuckle. Then he brushed my hair back, exhausting my patience. let out a groan of annoyance from my mouth, though my heart begged for more contact.

Then, he left me all alone. I remembered the old Mark I knew at school, the shy boy who didn't speak out loud, who I had ignored for so long and who seemed so strange... Now he was a wild beast. He hated me, he would always hate me, rejecting and humiliating him for so long would cost me dearly.

The door opened and into the room walked a man who looked like he had stepped out of the television. He had dark hair and olive-green eyes, a strong dark complexion, he was indeed the most imposing man after the new Mark.

"I introduce myself; I am the Beta of this pack. I brought you some clean clothes." His smile was as kind as a gentleman of his great beauty could be. "My name is Adren."

He placed the clothes on the bed, not looking at me closely or noticing that I was handcuffed and almost undressed.

"He... Does he hate me?" I asked without further ado, if this was to be my torture, I would face it with the truth.

He smiled, grimacing with sarcasm.

"Of course, she hates you more than anyone. You broke her heart." He shrugged indifferently. -If you need coffee, there's a machine in the next room. "He went on, changing the subject as if I were a mere guest."

I felt like I was completely insane, everyone there was acting as if this situation was completely normal. It wasn't for me; I didn't even know werewolves existed until a few hours ago. I felt like screaming with rage.

"I did no such thing." I apologized, trying to look offended. It didn't come off at all, I felt intimidated being handcuffed to a bed.

"He's my brother, Sara." he grimaced in annoyance. "When he chose you as his mate, all those years ago, when you were both in high school, I was the one who saw him cry."

"No way, don't exaggerate, if it was just dances, I didn't go to..." I swallowed as I began to remember those past events more clearly.

"For you they were, but not for him, he cried all night. He's always been sentimental, other wolves are different, we only take what we want and if we don't, the blood spills." The red gleam in his eyes made me shudder.

Adren's face was different from when he came in, as if his animal side was about to emerge. He looked much more sadistic than Mark, even though he was more friendly on the outside. I remembered the dinner I had stood him up for, I had forgotten all about it. I didn't like him at all then. I was afraid of how many other things I had forgotten from our time at school.

He glared at me.

"Welcome to the pack, Sara, you're the most hated mate of all." He smiled. "The best is yet to come."

Another shiver ran through my skin from head to toe, the wind seeping through the few clothes I was wearing.
