A loveless marriage, a stone cold husband and a brutal arrogant man was what destiny brought before Ava Leon. Her marriage was an arranged mistake, she was his unwanted bride and he was her stone hearted husband. He treated her like a filth until he found a convenient reason to have her sent to prison. But something went wrong and the woman that stood before him few years later has same features to his late wife. She died, yes, he had her given a proper funeral and everyone mourned her death but another version of her just emerged. Who's this fellow, looking explicitly like his dead wife. Was she cloned or was she a twin that no one knows about? Ava Leon was dead and Aurora Blake has been reborn. Tables turn, personality merges with identity and when things ought to get easier, nah, it got tougher. The death of Ava Leon was not going to be spared by the birth of Aurora Blake. The former was a servant , the latter is an heiress. "On your knees, Adrian Lester!..."

Chapter 1 A Substitute

Ava Leon closed her eyes painfully as she endured the torture he was given to her body. Tears ran down the sides of her eyes as she clutched the bedspread, to refrain herself from crying out.

It was supposed to be something blissful. It was supposed to make her happy that finally, her husband spared her a glance. He had decided to bed her after two years of a quiet wedding.

She was happy when he held her wrist and pulled her to himself. He held her tight and caressed her hair as he bent over and kissed her nape.

She didn't resist him. She was happy that he touched her. She was super excited that he kissed her nape and she anticipated that he would kiss her lips and that's exactly what he did.

He kissed her lips sweetly and she was happy. He didn't spare her time as he lifted her into the bed "I love you very much, more than my life" he mumbled drunkenly.

She willingly took in his breath, despite the smell of alcohol. His breath and the smell of alcohol intertwined as he kissed her sweetly and passionately.

She kissed him back sweetly. She was the happiest woman on earth at the moment. Finally, her two years of patiently waiting for him was going to pay off. He would bed her, give her his body and consummate their union.

Only then, can she know that she'd become his wife, both body and soul and not merely on paper with signature. She circled her hands around his neck and they remained in that position, kissing each other.

"Are you ready for me to take you?" Adrian asked, tipsily. He was drunk in every sense of the world and that's why he didn't know how Ava got him home.

She'd only helped him to his room and wanted to leave when this romantic session was ignited. Adrian Lester hardly gets drunk to this extent but somehow, that night was one of such rare moments when he gets drunk to stupor.

"Yeah, I'm ready for you," Ava replied. She'd been ready right from the day they got married. It's two years now and he's asking her if she's ready? Of course, she is.

The words had hardly left Ava's lips when she heard the noise of clothes shredding. Adrian became impatient as he hurriedly got through with it.

The last thing to be torn was her panties and Ava didn't resist him. She had been waiting for this for a long time now. Within seconds she was left nude as Adrian hurriedly unfastened his belt and his pants were off.

"I love you" he mumbled drunkenly as he kissed her again. She wished he wasn't drunk, those words would have sounded like heavenly music in her ears. She would have leaped and threw herself into his arms.

But alas he was drunk. Although she knows that drunkenness only brings out the content of the heart. It only means he was already in love with her.

Ava was still thinking so when she suddenly felt a sharp piercing pain between her legs, her flesh seemed torn and she bit down her lips painfully, holding herself back from screaming out.

She knows he'd made her a woman. The hymen is gone. The seal of her virginity has been broken and henceforth she'd become Adrian's woman alone.

This is her welcome introduction to womanhood and she's glad she gave it to the man she loved. She'd gradually nurtured her feelings for him and now, she can only say that she loves him.

But Adrian seemed not to notice anything as his thrust went in successively, giving her body no chance to adjust to his large P-sized guest that had just invaded her world.

She felt pain but took her mind away from it. It's worth it no matter how painful she felt at the moment. Eventually the pleasure and bliss of being one with her husband would overshadow the pain.

As Adrian plunging seemed to tear her apart and deeper, he moans sweetly, planting a kiss on her temple and thrusting her hard.

But Ava's happiness seemed short-lived as she suddenly heard him moans louder "I love you Lola, you're so tight and sweet. Ahhh...Lola..." Adrian moaned.

Lola!

Was he thinking of that woman? Did he take her to be his obsessed girlfriend? Was he using her body to satisfy his desire for her?

Ava felt her heart clenched in pain. His words earlier, were they meant for Lola? She thought he had finally decided to take a walk with her for the rest of their lives, but alas, it's all for Lola?

Her hands dropped to her sides and she clutched the bedspread in pain. The love making meant nothing to her anymore. The initial feeling of excitement was replaced with sadness.

He kept on thrusting her hard and kissing her. He was pleased and feeling satisfied but she was sobbing silently and wishing that he could just roll off her body and she would escape from his bed at once before he recognises that she's the one.

"I only love you, Lola, I swear to you..." he mumbled. He gave her boops a rough squeeze and kissed her sweetly.

Ava sniffled silently and her tears ran down the sides of her eyes uncontrollably. His touch was supposed to be magical and blissful to her body, but what she felt at the moment was irritation.

She's a substitute bed mate that night. She wasn't supposed to be in his bed, Lola was. But now, he tortures her for his addicted love.

She doesn't know how long he kept thrusting his cock into her but eventually she felt he gradually became gentle and pulled out of her to lay by her side.

He pulled her closer to himself and said "I love you Lola and my heart only beats for you.." he said and drifted off to sleep.

Ava glared at his cute face and glittering skin as she cleaned her tears and carefully stepped out of the bed. She was naked.

She felt the mid-section of her body was wet, so she needed to take care of it. Perhaps it's the remains of Adrian's semen but she isn't going to stay any moment more.

No one should see her in Adrian's room. He himself mustn't know she was bedded by him, otherwise, her days in the Lester family will get sour than it's always been.

She gathered her shredded clothes and covered her body as she gently opened the door and slipped out.

I sat in the gray, airless room of the New York State Department of Corrections, my knuckles white as the Warden delivered the news. "Parole denied." My father, Howard Sterling, had forged new evidence of financial crimes to keep me behind bars. He walked into the room, smelling of expensive cologne, and tossed a black folder onto the steel table. It was a marriage contract for Lucas Kensington, a billionaire currently lying in a vegetative state in the ICU. "Sign it. You walk out today." I laughed at the idea of being sold to a "corpse" until Howard slid a grainy photo toward me. It showed a toddler with a crescent-moon birthmark—the son Howard told me had died in an incubator five years ago. He smiled and told me the boy's safety depended entirely on my cooperation. I was thrust into the Kensington estate, where the family treated me like a "drowned rat." They dressed me in mothball-scented rags and mocked my status, unaware that I was monitoring their every move. I watched the cousin, Julian, openly waiting for Lucas to die to inherit the empire, while the doctors prepared to sign the death certificate. I didn't understand why my father would lie about my son’s death for years, or what kind of monsters would use a child as a bargaining chip. The injustice of it burned in my chest as I realized I was just a pawn in a game of old money and blood. As the monitors began to flatline and the family started to celebrate their inheritance, I locked the door and reached into the hem of my dress. I pulled out the sharpened silver wires I’d fashioned in the prison workshop. They thought they bought a submissive convict, but they actually invited "The Saint"—the world’s most dangerous underground surgeon—into their home. "Wake up, Lucas. You owe me a life." I wasn't there to be a bride; I was there to wake the dead and burn their empire to the ground.

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch—a titan of industry and my best friend’s father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

Marrying My Runaway Groom's Powerful Father

I was sitting in the Presidential Suite of The Pierre, wearing a Vera Wang gown worth more than most people earn in a decade. It was supposed to be the wedding of the century, the final move to merge two of Manhattan's most powerful empires. Then my phone buzzed. It was an Instagram Story from my fiancé, Jameson. He was at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris with a caption that read: "Fuck the chains. Chasing freedom." He hadn't just gotten cold feet; he had abandoned me at the altar to run across the world. My father didn't come in to comfort me. He burst through the door roaring about a lost acquisition deal, telling me the Holland Group would strip our family for parts if the ceremony didn't happen by noon. My stepmother wailed about us becoming the laughingstock of the Upper East Side. The Holland PR director even suggested I fake a "panic attack" to make myself look weak and sympathetic to save their stock price. Then Jameson’s sleazy cousin, Pierce, walked in with a lopsided grin, offering to "step in" and marry me just to get his hands on my assets. I looked at them and realized I wasn't a daughter or a bride to anyone in that room. I was a failed asset, a bouncing check, a girl whose own father told her to go to Paris and "beg" the man who had just publicly humiliated her. The girl who wanted to be loved died in that mirror. I realized that if I was going to be sold to save a merger, I was going to sell myself to the one who actually controlled the money. I marched past my parents and walked straight into the VIP holding room. I looked the most powerful man in the room—Jameson’s cold, ruthless uncle, Fletcher Holland—dead in the eye and threw the iPad on the table. "Jameson is gone," I said, my voice as hard as stone. "Marry me instead."
