OUTLINE BEGINNING Melissa's beautiful Kayden with her Alpha mate dwindle to an end after she tells her stepsister and stepmother that she has a mate bond with the Alpha. She also learns that 'the Alpha's twins are sick and in serious need of her help.' RISING ACTION Melissa accepts to go to the Bloodmoon pack, but her plan is to find out whether the twins are her children that she was told died five years ago. She is also given a week to decide if she will be Kelvin's future Luna. Melissa gets to Bloodmoon pack and finds out that her stepmother and stepsister that tormented her life are dead, they died of the virus. She feels mixed reaction to this because she wanted to be the one to end their lives, they did not deserve an easy death after all they had done. Alpha Kayden is hurt beyond measure because of the devastating effect of the virus on his pack. He is shocked to find Melissa is the healer he has heard do much about. He still hates her, but he valued her services, he wants her to heal the twins he has grown so desperately to love. Alpha Kayden also gave his word to Alpha Mateo of Thamewood that the healer (Melissa) will remain protected while at his pack. Melissa reunited with her twins, but she is filled with bitterness and anger when she finds how much Evelyn (her stepsister) and Alpha Kayden lied to her twins, spoiling her image before them. This causes her twins to shy away from her, hatefully calling her a wicked murderer. Trying to win back the love of her twins proves tough because she must show her vulnerable, gentle side if they are going to trust her. This hurts her the most because she is trying to be tough, in order not to cave in to the haunting memories of how badly she was treated in the past. Kelvin demands an answer for her, on whether she would be his future Luna as his coronation is long since past, and Thamewood members are asking the new Alpha to unveil his Luna. At the same time, Alpha Kayden offers her a huge amount of money to be his contract Luna for a few years, until the twins are more stable. He still hates her, but he asks her to do it for the twins. CLIMAX Melissa rejects Kelvin's offer to be his Luna, because there are a lot of things from her past she needs to handle first. She accepts Kayden's offer on the grounds that he would install her fully as Luna, and she would have a say in the council. Unknown to Kayden, Melissa has begun to plot his downfall. Melissa works stealthily, she does not let Kayden know she is responsible for a series of misfortunes that begin to hit him. Melissa starts a network of spies from people who are loyal to her from Thamewood pack. They sabotage each one of Alpha Kaydens plans, and each time it happens, Melissa is always there to console Kayden, telling him that he is still her babies father, and she cares for him. With time, Kayden thinks that Melissa has changed from the cruel woman she used to be. He begins to confide in her more, not knowing that he is only digging his grave. Melissa, on the other hand is touched by his thoughtful nature when he does certain things for her, telling her she is still the mother of his children. These thoughtful things does not stop Melissa from continuing to sabotage him. With time, Melissa turns the twins, and half of the council members against Alpha Kayden. Before Alpha Kayden realizes that Melissa has always been the enemy within, it is already too late. I repeat in confusion. My eyes take in his entire appearance, the way he is shaking with anger, and something else – hurt. His eyes are blazing red, and I realize that if it had been a lesser man, he would be crying by now. "Kaydee what is the problem, please talk to me," I say immediately, walking up to him as concern for him outweighs the sorrow I feel inside. The fact that he said he never loved me does not mean that I ever stopped loving him. "Don't call me that!" Alpha Kayden snaps, grabbing me by the throat and pinning me against the wall. "You lying, scheming bitch. I thought all I had to do to get rid of all your lies was to reject you, but did you really have to kill my little brother?""Davis?" I ask in shock as tears fill my own eyes. Davis was just a boy, and he was the only one that had ever shown me true kindness, even after Kayden rejected me. "Is Davis okay – Davis can't be dead no..." I stammer in pain. Alpha Kaydee lets go of me and I crumble to the floor. "you're still denying it when I have proof?" He snatches my left hand, holding my fingers up to expose the place my step sister had demanded a claw from me as punishment for breaking her favorite plate. "Your claw was found deep in Davis's throat. You lost it when you murdered him.""No! No...... that was not how I lost my claw," I cry out, still reeling from the news of Davis's death. Kayden smiles, and it is a cold smile that doesn't reach his eyes. "Go ahead, deny it. Let's see the stupid tale you will cook up since you have failed to realize that I am unto you and your lies.""I did not lose my claw by committing murder," I whisper, looking into his eyes, trying to see traces of the old Kayden, the one that had held me once under the moonlight, whispering endearment to me. "my step sister, Evelyn cut off my claw because I broke her favorite plate."His face was livid. "How dare you accuse my chosen Luna of having a hand in any of this? Look at the bizarre tale you wrung up just to implicate Evelyn. Evelyn is lovely, she's kind hearted, and she is loved by me, things you would never be even in your wildest dreams. How could you lie so maliciously against someone who has shown you nothing but kindness, honestly, Evelyn and her mother should have kicked you out of the house a long time ago, you ungrateful wretch."His eyes suddenly caught the binding on my wrist. "What's this?"I lower my gaze, unable to look at him as I fight back tears, still reeling from all he had said. "Oh – when she heard that you summoned her, she immediately slit her wrist to make it look like a suicide attempt in order to draw your pity," my step mother lies. Alpha Kayden laughs darkly. "You're too dumb to realize your time of manipulation is up, I'm grateful to Evelyn for showing me the light. Melissa you killed my brother, an innocent boy that did nothing but show you kindness, and all to retaliate the fact that I rejected you.
