Betrayed by her boyfriend and half-sister, Chloe drowns her sorrows at a bar-only to wake up next to a dangerously handsome stranger. No names. No strings. Just a one-night mistake... or so she thought. The next day, she walks into her company and comes face-to-face with her new boss-the same man from that night. She avoids him, pretending it never happened. But fate isn't done with her yet. That evening, her father sets her up on a blind date... and he is the one waiting for her. With a smirk, he leans in and whispers: "Woman, you're mine-yesterday, today, and forever."

One Night Stand With The Boss Chapter 1 1

Summer had just arrived in Detroit.

A light drizzle pattered on the glass window, startling a woman from her slumber.

Caressing the dark gray blanket with her fingertips, Chloe Stark opened her eyes. At the same time, the bathroom door in the hotel suite opened and out came a tall man wrapped in a bath towel and surrounded by hot vapour.

Casually glancing at Chloe's pretty face, Sam Bolton asked half-heartedly, "Do you still remember what happened last night?"

She was stunned for a while, then sat up with the blanket in her arms and said faintly, "Yes... I remember."

Last night, Chloe was in the bar trying to drink her sorrows away. Next thing she knew, she was already in some random strangers' arms. One thing led to the other, they spent the night together in the hotel.

The memory fragments gradually started flowing back into Chloe's mind. And every frame of them was the reminder that she had lost her virginity because of alcohol.

Looking at Chloe, who did not move a muscle, from above, Sam thought she was trying to cling to him. He confessed emotionlessly, "Last night, I thought you were an escort."

Chloe couldn't help but raised her neatly trimmed eyebrows. She checked out his masculine body and gave a cold grin, "That makes the two of us, mister. I thought you were a male prostitute."

Sam's eyes, which were like two pristine stones of onyx, narrowed down at her, "Since it was consensual, I'm sure you won't have a problem if we part ways now?"

Her beautiful eyes turned to the direction of the door. "Sure, be my guest."

Chloe's carefree attitude made Sam ponder. If he had not seen the blood stain on the quilt, he would have thought last night was not her first night with a man.

Yesterday was the first day that Sam returned to the Detroit. Last night, his friends asked him to hang out in a bar. He never thought he would be entangled with a drunken woman right after he left his booth.

He was not in the mood for romance at first, but he could not help it after meeting Chloe's flirtatious eyes. Having his friends trying to be his wingmen, he was already on a hotel bed by the time he realized what had happened.

When Sam walked into the shower after the fun, he wanted to send the one-night-stand away with some money. Never would he fathom that Chloe actually could not wait for him to leave, let alone asking him to answer for his actions.

It seemed that he had not been back to Detroit for too long. She did not even know who he is. However, he could not rule out the possibility that this woman was just playing dumb.

With his eyes, Sam pierced through Chloe, who had skin as light and soft as the moonlight. He reminded her, "Do you still remember what you need to do? I don't want any trouble from you."

Chloe Stark's smirk remained the same with a thread of sarcasm in her tone, "Thanks for the reminder."

Bearing a stranger's child? Well, she was not interested.

After they had reached an agreement, Sam stood in front of Chloe and started getting dressed. His gaze was slightly provocative as if he was teasing her.

He doubted that she could still be as calm as before when she saw his naked body while being sober.

The truth was Chloe could not.

She quickly fixed her eyes on the floor with her cheeks turned as red as a tomato.

Looking at her like this, Sam's eyes dimmed and stared thoughtfully at her side view and neck. Her lips were slightly puffed with rosy cheeks. At this point, a strong urge to conquer her and taste her sweet lips once again grew inside of him.

Faced with such unusual behaviour, Sam frowned with a mild annoyance. After a while, he started walking briskly and left the hotel suite without looking back.

As soon as he left, Chloe immediately bit her lip in vexation. "I've already spent a night with him. Why didn't I dare to even look at him?"

Standing up with a sore back, Chloe went into the bathroom to wash up. She looked at the bloodstain left on the bedsheet with a complicated expression. "It's just a piece of tissue. I am a woman of the new era. Who cares?"

When she left the hotel, the shower had stopped, which was lucky for the people who went out.

Chloe looked around with caution and found a 24/7 pharmacy on the other side of the road. She walked in and after a while came out with a bottle of opened mineral water in hand.

Raising her hand to check the time, Chloe rushed to stop a taxi on the street and instantly got on. "Sir, Dane Corporation. Thank you."

Just as Chloe left in a taxi, a handsome man in a gray suit slowly came out from the corner of the street and stopped at the entrance of the pharmacy.

Sam made a phone call first, and then pushed the glass door open. Looking at the pharmacist who was too shy to look back, he asked, "What did that young lady just now buy here?"

"Some morning-after pills, Sir."

"That woman is not so dumb after all." Sam thought to himself.

A few minutes later.

A white Lamborghini entered Sam's sight. The driver got off nimbly, opened the door, and asked him about his next journey.

Two words came out of Sam's thin lips, "Dane."

Suddenly, Chloe received a call from the office. "Miss Stark, later at nine there will be a board meeting to welcome the new chief executive. All members of the senior management of the company will be there.

Where are you now?"

Hearing the nervous tone in her assistant Dwayne' voice on the phone, Chloe, still on the way, reassured her, "Dwayne, don't worry. I will be there in no time."

I arrived at the hotel with Julian's favorite takeout, ready to surprise my fiancé before our big merger. But the moment I swiped the keycard, the silence of the hallway felt heavy and wrong. Inside, a red-soled stiletto lay on the marble floor-the same one I'd watched my best friend Lila try on at Saks last week. Through the cracked bedroom door, I watched Julian's back arch as Lila looked me straight in the eye and smiled, wrapping her legs tighter around him to mock my heartbreak. I fled to the penthouse to hide, only to find Grafton, Julian's "crippled" brother, waiting in the dark. To my horror, the man who was supposed to be paralyzed stood up from his wheelchair, gripped my chin with cold fingers, and forced me to sign a contract that gave him control of my family's shares. He knew about my mother's secret medical bills and used them to buy my silence, effectively turning my life into a calculated game of corporate chess. The betrayal tasted like acid, and the injustice of it all burned in my throat. My fiancé was a liar, my best friend was a thief, and the man now controlling my fate was a predator who had been faking his disability for years. I couldn't understand how everyone I trusted had turned out to be a monster. I was trapped between a man who cheated on me and a man who wanted to own me, with no way out and no one to turn to. But when Julian came looking for me, Grafton didn't hide; he stood tall, looming over me with a possessive glint in his eyes. "Help me destroy Julian," I rasped, realizing that to survive the Faulkner men, I had to become the most dangerous player of them all.

He Thought I Was A Doormat, Until I Ruined Him

SHANA GRAY

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

The Discarded Heiress: Marrying My Lethal Husband

The rain in Detroit was slick with grime when my family finally came to fetch me. They didn't want a reunion; they wanted a sacrificial lamb to marry into the Kaufman empire to save their failing business. I thought I was just being sold off, but the limo ride ended under a dark overpass where six hired thugs were waiting with chains. My own sister had ordered them to "break my spirit" so I’d be a shaking, pathetic mess by the time I reached the altar. They called me "Detroit trash" and sprayed air freshener when I sat on their leather seats. My stepmother wanted a video of me begging for my life, and my father was ready to trade me like a used car to a man everyone called a "vegetable." They expected a submissive country girl, unaware that I was a high-level "cleaner" who could snap a radius bone before they could even scream. When I finally reached the Kaufman estate, I found my fiancé, Barron, slumped in a wheelchair, drooling and silent. But as soon as the doors closed, the "invalid" grabbed my wrist with a grip of iron and whispered a command that changed everything. I didn't understand why my own blood was so desperate to see me destroyed. What had I ever done to deserve a hit squad and a forced marriage to a man they thought was a corpse? But Barron isn't a vegetable, and I'm not a victim. We just touched down at the Moon family gala in a matte-black helicopter, and as the doors slide open, the "broken" bride is about to show them exactly what happens when you throw away the wrong daughter. "If we're going to crash a party," Barron whispered, his eyes burning with lethal clarity, "we should make an entrance."
