Donna's previous life had been a complete mess. Despite her family's objections, she married Andrew, building a life with him from nothing and enduring years of hardship by his side. But when success finally came, he betrayed her-having an affair with her stepsister, Sakura. Worse, the two conspired against her, ultimately having her locked away in a psychiatric hospital. In the end, she was pushed from a building. She and the child she was carrying passed away in agony. Now reborn, Donna was determined to rewrite everything. But fate had other plans. She awoke not in her own body, but in someone else's-Bonnie, a woman whose life was even more entangled in chaos than her own. Bonnie had been used by her fiancé, Randor. He cheated on her with his secretary, then coldly orchestrated her death during a cruelly planned surgery. Donna sighed at the cruel irony. If this was the form her rebirth had taken, then so be it. She would start by helping Bonnie take revenge on that despicable man she once called her fiancé!

Reborn, I Rewrite My Fate Chapter 1 Endless Hatred

The sweltering heat of summer was enough to make anyone irritable.

Even with the air conditioner running, the atmosphere in the room was stifling, suffocating.

Donna cowered in the corner of the hospital room, trembling nonstop, avoiding the pill the doctor was trying to hand her.

"No, I won't take the medicine. I'm not sick!"

"Let me get out of here!"

Donna covered her ears, shaking her head violently, shouting at the female doctor. But the doctor seemed accustomed to such scenes, gently soothing Donna, coaxing her to take the pill.

But it was useless.

Just as the doctor was about to try another method, a young woman walked into the room.

She had striking pink hair and wore oversized sunglasses that concealed half her face.

Taking in the scene inside, she sneered, slipped off her glasses, and spoke to the doctor.

"That's enough. Your work here is done."

"Step outside for now, let me have a word with her."

The female doctor respectfully nodded, obeyed, and carefully closed the door behind her. At that moment, Sakura chuckled lightly, crossed her arms, and slowly walked toward Donna.

"Well? My crazy sister, still not used to life in the psychiatric hospital?"

"A lunatic like you belongs here. Or would you rather be outside, hurting other people?"

Hearing Sakura's mocking voice, Donna's eyes flew open wide in fury. She glared at Sakura with bitter resentment.

"Why? Why do you treat me like this?"

"Where's Andrew? Does he know you've locked me up in here?"

At the mention of Andrew, Donna's eyes lit up, her face flickering with hope, her voice growing more frantic.

But Sakura, as if hearing the funniest joke, smirked and replied with disdain.

"Andrew? You mean that foolish husband of yours?"

Sakura brushed her fingers through Donna's hair, curling her lips in contempt.

"He's the one who suggested throwing you in here."

"If you want to blame someone, blame yourself for being too foolish to keep your husband."

"Now, your husband is obsessed with me."

"Every time he sees me, he can't help but wag his tail like some pathetic dog."

Sakura's voice dripped with mockery.

"And you? You're nothing but a loser, a lunatic."

"Your husband is madly in love with me, and soon I'll take your place as deputy director of the corporation you two built together."

Sakura giggled, watching Donna's face flush crimson with rage.

Her eyes burned red, her chest heaving furiously. Sakura leaned in, taunting further.

"So? How does it feel to be outdone by me?"

Grinding her teeth, Donna lunged forward, desperate to claw at Sakura's deceitful face. But Sakura swiftly dodged and, with a vicious kick, sent Donna crashing onto the floor.

"Why?"

Donna screamed, but Sakura only admired her freshly painted nails, looking down on her with disdain.

"What else?"

"Didn't you always look down on my mother for being just your father's mistress?"

"Didn't you scorn me for being some country bumpkin?"

"Well, I wanted to see what someone as 'noble' as you had over me."

"And reality proves nothing but stupidity."

Sakura sneered coldly. She grabbed the pill bottle from the nearby table and hurled it to the ground.

Then, picking up a cup, she flung it at Donna.

The sharp sound of shattering glass rang out as shards scattered across the floor.

Donna's hand was cut by the fragments, streaks of red blood staining her skin.

Seeing this, Sakura suddenly screamed.

"This is bad! Help me!"

"Donna's having a mental breakdown."

"She tried to stab me in the neck with the glass!"

Sakura shrieked and bolted out of the room, just as the doctor rushed in.

She pointed straight at the stunned, bewildered Donna and shouted.

"Sedate her! She's gone completely insane!"

Donna, naive and helpless, was finally restrained by the doctor, forced onto the hospital bed, and injected with the drug.

As her vision blurred,

she saw Sakura sneering at her like a victor,

then lifting her chest proudly,

walking away with her back straight.

....

Donna, exhausted, ran along the road, her bare feet bleeding, yet her eyes still burned with determination.

When she saw the familiar door of her home, a breath of relief escaped her lips.

Overflowing with longing, she rushed straight inside, ignoring the resistance of the household staff.

No one was downstairs.

Like a madwoman, she dashed upstairs searching for everyone, shouting loudly.

"Mom, Dad, I'm back."

"Sakura and Andrew sent me to the mental hospital. The two of them conspired to harm me...."

Her frantic appearance, hair disheveled, clothes in disarray, swollen feet dripping with blood, did not stir the slightest concern from those sitting on the sofa.

They stared coldly at Donna.

In the depths of her despair, Sakura giggled, leaning against Andrew's shoulder as she said,

"What kind of joke is that? You're insane, so isn't sending you to a mental hospital the right thing to do?"

Andrew, looking at Donna's pitiful state, clicked his tongue and added,

"That's right. To send you there, we spent no small amount of money."

"Instead of being grateful, you dare to resent me?"

Donna blinked toward her father, but he only snorted coldly, his gaze full of disgust.

"Exactly. You're sick."

"If not staying in the hospital for treatment, what are you doing back here?"

"And now you try to frame your sister and your husband? Truly revolting."

Her father's repulsed face plunged Donna into utter despair. She could not believe it, collapsing onto the floor.

She could not comprehend how the people who once cherished and loved her so dearly had turned into this.

"This can't be... Mom, where is my mom?"

Donna's unfocused eyes finally caught a faint glimmer of light.

"She would never bear to let me suffer such humiliation."

"Just wait until my mom shows up, then you'll pay for this."

Before the three of them could respond, Donna heard mocking laughter drifting down from upstairs.

"Telling jokes now? Your mom?"

"That foolish mother of yours was long ago sent off to some remote mountain."

"Even if she wanted to come back and save you, it's far too late."

Sakura's mother, Lisa, slowly descended the stairs, her voice dripping with derision and delight. She glanced at Donna, curling her lips in disdain.

"And another thing, stop polluting the air here."

"Go back to that filthy asylum."

"Don't ruin everyone's mood."

Lisa pinched her nose, frowning as though she had just laid eyes on something revolting.

She clicked her tongue, and Sakura rose to her feet.

"My mom is right."

"No matter how many times you try to escape from the asylum, the result won't change."

"Be obedient and crawl back there yourself while we're still willing to spare you."

Sakura kicked Donna hard.

Staggering like a lost soul, Donna kept muttering that it was impossible.

Her eyes burned red with fury, her hands clenched so tight they turned pale.

Then she stood, fixing Sakura with a cold, unyielding stare.

"How... how can you guys do that?"

"How could you treat us like this?"

"Aren't you afraid of retribution?"

Donna lunged at Sakura with lightning speed, grabbing hold of her.

But her frail body, weakened by long periods of malnutrition and exhausted from the desperate run, was easily overpowered.

Sakura caught her wrist tightly.

"Fool. To use your stupidity against us, how brave of you."

"If you don't like living peacefully, fine."

"Let me help you."

Sakura curved her lips into a sinister smile, her grip on Donna's wrist tightening until it flushed red.

No matter how hard Donna struggled, she could not break free.

Sakura's arm clamped onto her like an iron shackle, dragging her to the staircase. She sneered triumphantly.

"Get lost. And remember, when you're reborn in the next life, don't be such a fool again."

With a half-smile, Sakura raised her leg and kicked Donna hard down the stairs.

Donna lost her balance, her head slamming against the steps as she tumbled down relentlessly.

It didn't stop.

Blood spilled across the staircase, each brutal thud echoing louder, making Sakura's grin grow ever brighter.

By the time Donna landed on the floor, the ground was drenched in red. Most horribly,

blood from her lower body flowed without cease,

spasms of pain twisting through her abdomen until her body shuddered uncontrollably.

It was as if a fragile life inside her was slipping away.

Donna stared blankly, eyes glazed, at the flood of blood soaking the floor, and only then did realization strike her.

She had been pregnant.

And in that same moment of delirium,

The child in her womb was gone.

The pain numbed her,

her body collapsing with exhaustion,

powerless.

She forced her eyes open, only to see Sakura smirking at the top of the stairs, while her husband, her father, and her father's mistress remained indifferent, unmoved.

In the end, the people she once called family only wanted her erased.

How laughable.

Donna clenched her fists, and before her consciousness blurred into darkness, she swore in her heart.

If given a chance to live again, she would neve let these pretenders harm her ever again.

She would take revenge, make each one of them taste the same despair and torment she had endured.

And then, Donna closed her eyes in weariness, grief, and despair.

Never to open them again.

My five-year-old daughter was dying in the ICU, her heartbeat replaced by the continuous, electronic scream of a flatline. I gripped her cold hand, my throat sealed shut by a terror so absolute I couldn't even cry out. I dialed my husband Grayson's private number, the one reserved only for me and his assistants. He declined the call instantly. A second later, a text buzzed against my palm: "In a meeting. Do not disturb. Stop calling." Five miles away, Grayson was at a luxury gala, adjusting his silk tie and laughing with Belle Escobar. He told her I was just being "dramatic" and using our daughter's "fever" as an excuse to avoid the event. He had no idea Effie's heart had already stopped. When I finally reached our penthouse, soaked from the rain and carrying Effie's small socks in a plastic bag, Grayson didn't even look at me. He snapped at me for ruining the hardwood floors and asked if I'd left Effie with the nanny just to "feel sorry for myself." Three days later, while I buried our daughter in a small, lonely ceremony, Grayson was at the Hamptons. Belle posted a photo of him golfing with the caption: "A mental health day with the boys." He didn't even attend the funeral, but he returned home demanding I clear out Effie's room to make a study for Belle's son. The injustice burned through me until there was nothing left. I swallowed a handful of sleeping pills, desperate to join my daughter. But instead of the darkness, I woke up to blinding lights and the scent of Grayson's expensive cologne. I was standing in a ballroom, wearing a blue silk dress I had already burned. Above me, a banner read: "Happy 5th Birthday Kaiden & Effie." I was back, exactly one year before the tragedy. This time, I wasn't going to be the grieving wife. I was going to be their worst nightmare.

The heavy iron gates of the Wilderness Correction Camp groaned as they released me after three years of state-sponsored hell. I stood on the dirt road, clutching a plastic bag that held my entire life, waiting for the family that claimed they sent me there for "rehab." My brother, Brady, picked me up in a luxury SUV only to throw me out onto a deserted highway in the middle of a brewing storm. He told me I was a "public relations nightmare" and that the rain might finally wash the "stink" of the camp off me. He drove away, leaving me to limp miles through the mud on a snapped ankle. When I finally dragged myself to our family estate, my mother didn't offer a hug; she gasped in horror because my muddy clothes were ruining her Italian marble. They didn't give me my old room back. Instead, they banished me to a moldy gardener’s shack and hired a "babysitter" to make sure I didn't embarrass them further. My sister, Kaleigh, stood there in white cashmere, pretending to cry while clinging to her fiancé, Ambrose—the man who had once been mine. They all treated me like a volatile junkie, refusing to acknowledge that Kaleigh was the one who planted the drugs in my bag three years ago. They wanted to believe I was broken so they wouldn't have to feel guilty about the "wellness retreat" that was actually a torture chamber. I sat in the dark of that shed, feeling the cooling gel on the cigarette burns that covered my arms, and realized they had made a fatal mistake. They thought they had erased me, but I had returned with a roadmap of scars and a hidden satellite phone. At dinner, I didn't beg for their love. I simply rolled up my sleeves and showed them the price of their silence. As the wine spilled and the lies crumbled, I sent a single text to the only person I trusted: "I'm in. Let them simmer." The hunt was finally on.

I sat on the edge of the examination table, the crinkle of the sanitary paper sounding like thunder in the sterile room. The doctor didn't even look at me as he confirmed the news: the pregnancy was over. My husband, Keyon, didn't answer my call. He just sent an automated text: "In a meeting." When I returned to our cold mansion, I found his iPad glowing with a message from his "muse," Katina. He was throwing her a secret gala tonight-on our third wedding anniversary. He told her he couldn't wait to escape the "boring" and "draining" atmosphere I created at home. Keyon didn't stumble in until 3 AM, smelling of Katina's perfume with a smear of red on his collar. When I handed him the divorce papers, he laughed in my face. He called me a "glorified housekeeper" with no skills and no future, promising I'd be back in three days begging for a subway ticket. He even bet his friends ten thousand dollars that I wouldn't survive a week without his name. He had his assistant cancel my credit cards and block my gate access before I even reached the end of the driveway. He wanted me to starve. He wanted me to crawl. He sat in his office, mocking the "desperate" woman who pawned her three-million-dollar wedding ring for scrap metal just to pay for a meal. I stood on the rainy curb, watching the man I had protected for three years treat my life like trash. He didn't know about the ultrasound I just threw in the bin. He didn't know that while he was calling me "dull," I was the one secretly writing the code that kept his billion-dollar empire from collapsing. As I slid into a cheap Uber, I opened a hidden, encrypted app on my phone. The screen refreshed to a dashboard for an account Keyon didn't know existed. The balance was ten figures long-the accumulated wealth of "Solaris," the world's most elusive tech genius. Keyon thinks he just evicted a parasite, but he's about to find out he just declared war on the only person who can hit "delete" on his entire life.
