The next day, Annie got dressed and went to school. She saw her bully friends and tried to enter the bus, trying to avoid her friend’s scrutiny. she let her head hang low, her hair covering most of her face, she shook head at herself, either way her bright hair color, or her spurt perfume

She reached in her bag, clasping her one of her favorite books, that would help her escape them, forget time, imagine and relax… “The paradise”, she muttered to herself, smiling.

“Oh the beautiful world, I can’t imagine seeing myself there.” She whispered, laughing at her own joke then walking away swaying her hips slightly at some boys’ faces.

Annie was on silent, she was used to this, in fact, that little compared to what she received at torture at school, she knew that the best she could do was ignore the world, keep her head low, avoid eye contact with them and keep quiet…

When the bus got to the school. A rain drop hit the glass catching Annie's attention, she watched as 4 more followed, then more came, dropping down the glass, her fingers trailed them, this was a game played by many of us as kids, but she still enjoyed it, her childhood was

Annie hesitated, her face was showing the same train of excited emotions that she had that moment. She was lost thinking, she wish she could go back to that moment where she was been love by everyone. Not now, life abandoned her.

The rain was dropping heavily, water was drowning the street until it was high enough to reach the students' knees.

Then she remembered the time, everything was good for her, Nadia brought her to the school with her car, John carried her loads, other children were jealous of her. Some hated her, some tried to be her friends.

Life was good for her then. But now, she walked alone to school under a heavy rain and that made her to burst into crying.

Children pushed and shoved through each other, anxious to get to class before their dresses got wet.

Annie on the other hand couldn't care less, her eyes were glued to the floor as many children threw her there and

well as well as each other- on full strength until it cracked open, allowing all the children to flow into the school, rushing to their lockers, chatting on their way to class until the bell rung signaling for them to go their classes, the hallways once grew silent.

So, there lied Annie, on the floor, dripping wet, she shivered, goosebumps trailing down her body… She tried pushing herself up but ended up falling flat on her side, tears streamed down her face heavily.

towards her. His boots were pounding successively on the ceramic flooring. Rushing past the tall chrysopharus casted pillars and heading

towards Annie. His medium frame yet well built chest was rising and frantically obviously hinting that he had been running just heretofore. The veins on his hands extruded from his skin as he clung tightly on to his saber.

Traces of cold sweats on his temple were impossible to miss. Hid medium length hombre hair strands that had the appearance of an after perm, were dressed in moisture and some follicles had stuck to the back of his neck and some on his forehead. His long eyelashes were saturated in perspiration.

As he ran and moved closer to her, his hand was gently placed on her shoulder, she looked up to see a him there in a his beautiful outfits, muscular features framed him perfectly, he had emerald fresh eyes, damp dark hair, delicious red lips as kissable as hell, and a butt chin

him, being used to backstabbers who named themselves as her ‘friends' ,they would use her, collect her money then bully her with the others, they would get awarded with popularity.

And that was why she never trusted people anymore. No matter how much Annie had denied, the handsome peaceful face of the kind stranger never left her memory. He was all she thought of and

she was all he thought off. They couldn’t forget the moment… “So em… how is she now? Is she okay?” The boy asked for the 12th time in 5 minutes.

The mid-aged nurse nurse looked up from her tests to say, “Look, will you leave me alone to work here already, or will you come and treat her?” “Sorry ma'am.” He apologized.

Annie crouched a little as the nurse applied an ice bag to her knee. “Uh.. Are you okay?” He asked again. Annie kept silent, she heard him but decided not to answer him, he still didn’t gain her trust yet, and it would take a lot to, Annie had trusted many, but they all failed her, always leaving her to suffer alone, They

“Wait… you mean… you are talking to me?” Annie asked in skepticism, pointing at herself, she turned and looked around her to see if there was some one else there, she could be talking to but she saw

nobody else “Of course, you, silly.” Juliet cackled.

“Uh, yeah o-okay..” Annie shook her head then added. “I'm Annie.. Annie Bradford. Nice meeting you. Don't worry I will take you around.”

“This is the principal's office.” Annie said, pointing to the principal's office. Suddenly, someone held her hair from the back and punched her stomach.

“Ouch,” Annie yelled as a first flew onto her stomach, she held it in response tightly.

“What are you going to do about it?” The sneering 8th grader said, she was indeed very proud of herself because she was older than them by a grade at the time.“I will report to the Principal and call the cops,” Juliet yelled simply, The girl erupted into laughter. “Call the cops? Report to the Principal? Oh! I'm scared of police, Ha ha

Juliet smirked, watching the 8th grader girl running away from her, shouting insults to her and threatening them, her voice got lower and lower as distance cut her off…

After that experience Annie was positive that Juliet was her first, true, best friend, until now… “Juliet, who are they?” Annie asked Juliet who was giggling with a

couple of girls. “Er… Oh shit.” Their laughter died down when they saw Annie.

“Oh those are my friends… or who do you think they are?” Juliet snickered. “Nothing, it’s just… “Nobody cares about that..”, a girl interrupted rudely. Juliet laughed at the girl, turning to Annie to give her an apologetic look…

Annie was okay with her having new friends, but she wasn’t happy when they all suddenly turned against her, especially Juliet, who told every one about Annie's secrets, even the one about her alcoholic

“Annie, Annie Bradford, Sweetheart, ha! She was only called that when her mom didn’t go completely nuts and changed it!!” Juliet said, smirking at herself, she was standing on a table in the cafeteria, pouring Annie’s mysteries to the growing audience around her, the attention

motivated her to spilt even more. “Why are you doing this to her, it’s unreasonable to do this to a girl you called your friend.” Eva muttered.

She tried to stop Juliet, to stop mocking and making fun of her secrets but Juliet doesn’t listened to her. Eva left the cafeteria angrily.

Laughter erupted from the crowd, they turned their attention when they spotted Annie, burying her face in her hands, sobs escaping her lips. “Why..”, Annie yelled, “Why did you do this to me?” She finished, her lips fluttering, before she ran out of the cafeteria in a hurry…
