(10 years later, Annie was 19 years old. Life was good for her until Nadia got married five years ago and everything got changed.

The only time Annie could remember her parents happy was on their wedding

anniversary when she was Fourteen. Her new dad was hugging Nadia after he had greeted, her mother with a kiss, and they ended the day by going out to a restaurant.

Whenever Nadia asked for something that day, her father never denied her. But that was a long time ago, and now even that memory was fading away.

quiet. Will they ever be happy? Annie didn’t know, she hated her new dad for coming into the family. She didn’t even think that she would ever know the answer.

Today, they were arguing about money. The wind carried fragments of her parents' argument to her as Annie closed her eyes and focused on their voices.

They did bring her up in conversations sometimes, when they wanted to drive a point home. School was going to end soon. Annie remembered her bully friends, how they treated her on her way home and how she was been beaten.

As Annie walked through the empty grasslands of a Scorn gap, she touched her right arm with the left, pain was rushing through her elegant, vulnerable body, She pulled up her left sleeve, closing her eyes, not wanting to face what she was suffering of, this time.

Unhurriedly, she left her eyelids open up, she scanned her disclosed arm in ugliness, it was trickling huge, raw, blushing blood.

It was wrapped in multi-colored bruises, a combination of yellow, sanctuary and brown, her bruises lagged up from her wrist all the up to her small shoulders.

She trembled before covering up her damages carefully with her long sleeve again, she let a salty tear escape her crystal clear eyes.

She quickly ripped it off, afraid of being called weakness, be made fun of, called names… and Abused again.

She got home that day to explained how she was been treated by her bully friends but she met her parents arguing and fighting. She went to her room with a sadden heart.

Annie got happy as school would be closing soon, she would be free, from her wicked friends. Maybe she should get a job so she would have money to leave the house and have her own apartment.

Annie thought about it for a few minutes. She could save up enough money so that she could take a plane and move away to somewhere beautiful and congested, somewhere gorgeous and attractive, like Italy or Switzerland.

Italy would be nice. She would live in the city and do whatever she wanted to do, regardless of what other people wanted. Besides, she was better than them.

Annie deserved much better than what she had. Other people didn’t know, how it was to be rich and later be poor because their mother who was once rich was been robbed by cruel husband who made her poor. She always wanted to buy new clothes or a new phone.

Other people didn’t have to deal with bullies and kids who stuck their noses up at people who struggled to do anything worthwhile.

Annie stood there thinking, how her life got changed within five years, She lost her best family. She deserved much better than the life she was living now.

When she got older, she wanted to be treated exactly, how she wanted and deserved. Everything got changed within years, Everyone in the town just wanted

She was pretty, as usual, she didn’t want to get hand dirty, or get fat. She didn’t want to math. Because she lost everything, because of Nadia's marriage with her new husband.

All the boys that she knew always acted so superior. She wanted something

being something bigger and better than what they already had. Annie hated that almost as much as she hated her new dad, Mr. Stephen.

When she got older, she didn’t want to stay in the town where she was abandoned, hated and mistreated by everyone.

For the past years, she had been experiencing hate instead of love, she got bullied in the school and maltreated at home. She would be in Italy, living her dream life, the life she deserves.

Where she would work and have her own house, would be very famous and rich. Everyone would want talk to her. She wasn't going to be a nobody in a town that nobody wanted her.

A town she was been abandoned by her so called family, Raine, John, and

They are not a good friends. If anyone talked about her, they were going to say that she was damn great and good, going to say that she surpassed all the expectations that her town and family pressed down on her.

They were going to say, that Annie knew what she wanted to do, and hustled after what she wanted. She wasn't going to stay at home and cook dinner for her parents.

She was going to be someone that everyone knew. When people talked about

her, they weren’t going to say “Who?” That was her worst fear, that people wouldn’t know her name, have someone who will love her dearly, that she would fade behind with no one to remember her.

That she wouldn’t leave a mark on the world. She wasn't going to be like her new father, who could've been a proficient football player before dropping out of football to be an artist.

He could have been great and wealthy, but he gave it all up for a wife he doesn’t love and a flexible job. Annie's hand dug into the blanket before she forcibly relaxed them.

She didn’t want to chip her nails and ruin them after she paid for a manicure a couple of days ago. That she spent a lot on it, but it was worth it.

She hated her parents with passion. She loved Nadia before but when Stephen got into the house, he changed everything, that made Annie to be more angry with Stephen.

Their love were fake, Annie doesn’t want that. They were stuck in the present.

Why couldn’t they just stop arguing and fighting? Why couldn’t they understand themselves? Why did he stopped her from seeing her friends? Why didn’t he allow her not have friends? And why on earth

did they waste their life here with no one wanting to remember them, not even their own daughter? Annie was asking herself different questions she couldn’t just answered.

She glared fiercely at the wall, and made a vow to herself. She would never be someone that wasted her life. she was going to be someone important, perfect, great, extraordinary, tremendous, incredible.

The next day, Annie got dressed and went to school. She saw her bully friends and tried to enter the bus, trying to avoid her friend’s scrutiny.

She reached in her bag, clasping her one of her favorite books, that would help her escape them, forget time, imagine and relax… “The paradise”, she muttered to herself, smiling.

“Oh the beautiful world, I can’t imagine seeing myself there.” She whispered, laughing at her own joke then walking away swaying her hips slightly at some boy's faces.

Annie was on silent, she was used to this, in fact, that little compared to what she received at torture at school, she knew that the best she could do was ignore the world, keep her head low, avoid eye contact with them and keep quiet…

A rain drop hit the glass catching Annie's attention, she watched as 4 more followed, then more came, dropping down the glass, her fingers trailed them, this was a game played by many of us as kids, but she still enjoyed it, her childhood was full of experience and enjoyment.
