Wouldn’t she?” I nodded my head and sat up, he was so close to my face I felt his breath brush against my face he dragged me towards the bed and lifted the blanket for me to get in and I did. He laid next to me and I saw him stretched down the night light next to me and without thinking I grabbed his hand, “Don’t, I can’t sleep in the dark.” “Why?” He asked, “Because of something that happened a long time ago, I’ll tell you some other time just not tonight.” I turned and pulled the blanket to my neck and closed my eyes. I don’t know what time it was when I heard the door to the walk-in closet slam and I jumped, I saw Daniel dressed in a black loose short pants and a black hoodie with running shoes. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, I was about to talk but he beat me to it, “Go back to sleep princess.” He whispered, Adam came up not too long after and knocked on the door he sat in the bed with me looking me over from head to toe, it was strange but then I settled it was just Adam being Adam. Before leaving he told me Daniel would be back shortly and that he and dad went out for a run and he reassured me that it was a normal thing that happened. I couldn’t go back to sleep, no matter how hard I tried I couldn't. Just the thought of them running out there at this for
