You can just address me as Sam.” The one with deep blue hair said. “And I’m Emma.” The black haired one said and reached out to shake my hands. I took it and smiled. “Well I have lots of names.” I said smiling at both of them.”Tell us.I’d pick the one I’d prefer to call you.” Sam said. “Avalon is my basic name.I have other names like Anna-Lorena,Noelani,Louise. Which would you prefer? “ I said shifting my gaze from both of them’s faces. “I think I prefer Louise. Like short form Lou.” Samantha said and looked at Emma. “What do you think?” She asked. “I love Noelani though,but Lou seems perfect. Are you Spanish?” Emma asked. “Yes I am of Spanish descent. But my maternal grandfather is Korean,soi have a bit of Asian blood in me.Coupled with the fact that i was born in America.” I said shrugging my shoulder and she nodded her head in understanding. “Is your hair naturally black and blonde?” Sam said referring to my hair.”Are those your real eye colour are you wearing Contacts?” Emma asked and I giggled. My whole Dormitory life was about to be fun,since I have these two girls. “Yes,My hair is naturally black and blonde. The blonde blended with the black,but the blonde has more volume than the black strands. And my eyes are naturally green,but when i’m under the sun,it turns to a deep blue colour.” I said answering their curious question. “I’m curious though,this might sound rude,please do not be offended.What family do you come from?Like what do your parents do?” Sam asked and I smiled. “I’m not offended. My father is dead,he died in a hit and run accident. But before he died he was a strawberry farmer. He made a lot of sales from his strawberry and saved it up,so when he died,My mom used part of the money to arrange his burial,Part of it went into my Rehab,and part of it was used to secure a house that we moved into when we moved from a remote area in California to New York. My mom is a baker and she owns a bakery store at the area we moved to,which is about two to three hours from here.We are out of debt now,soi can say we are a middle class family.” I said and Sam’s eyes filled up. “Since we all have something in common,all three of us. We only have one parent left each of us. My mom died of cervical cancer a year ago,and Sam’s Dad died of Prostrate cancer Five years ago.” Emma said,her voice shaking. “I was the closest to my dad,so when he died I couldn’t deal with the grief and that made me lose my ability to talk and to use my hands. My mom made sure I went into Rehab,and little by little I got myself back. The grief still lingers,but i’m fine most of the time.” I said sniffling.
