Gloria nodded and gave him a small smile. "I understand. It was really nice seeing you." "It was wonderful seeing you too," he said. He leaned in and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek. "Good night, sweet dreams," he said as he turned to leave. She watched him walk to the door and then stood there for a while, replaying the events of the evening in her mind. * * * The next day, Gloria was sitting at her desk, working on a project, when her friend, Sarah, walked by. "Hey, how was your date?" Sarah asked, a big smile on her face. Gloria turned to face her and said, "It was really nice. I really like him." "That's so great! I'm glad to hear it. So, are you guys going to see each other again?" Sarah asked. Gloria nodded. "Yeah, we're going to get together again next week." Sarah beamed and gave her a hug. "That's wonderful!” After a moment, Gloria pulled away and looked at Sarah with a slightly serious expression. "I have to admit, I'm a little nervous," she said. "What if it doesn't work out? What if I get my heart broken?" Sarah put a hand on her shoulder and said, "It's natural to feel a little nervous, but don't let your fears get the best of you. You have to take a leap of faith and trust that things will work out for the best. And even if it doesn't work out with this guy, you'll still have learned something from the experience. After their conversation, Sarah turned to go back to her desk, leaving Gloria alone with her thoughts. She sat there, staring out the window, her dark hair falling in soft waves around her face. She was wearing a simple, black dress that flattered her figure and made her skin look radiant. She had a slight smile on her lips, but her eyes betrayed a hint of anxiety.
