d seen moments ago. "Of course," Aidan said, shifting to stay close to me. "Stay with me, baby." He could see for himself. I was different because I would never stay inches away from him on the bed. "Aella?" "Uhmm?" "Did you ask your mother's clan to vote for me during the new Alpha's ceremony?" The vision visited again, ringing bells in my head. It flashed before me again, giving me clues. I should avoid this conversation, I knew. Aidan was watching me closely, waiting for my response. "Aella?" he called. I said nothing, resting my head on his broad chest. My breath was unsteady. "Are you keeping me in suspense, Aella?" He asked, raising the pitch of his voice higher than normal. "Do you love me, Aidan?" I asked instead of answering his questions. Aidan froze. "Everything you say to me, do you always mean it?" I asked again. "Are you kidding me?" Aidan cried. "I want to know," I stammered. "You haven't even answered my questions, baby." "I want to know!" Where?" I feigned innocence. "Why would you ask me such questions? Did you forget we are friends?" Aidan said to me Now that I have hurt him, I knew. My wolf reacted; it was either the truth or a lie. In my nightmare, there was no such love in his eyes as now. "Was I overreacting?" I thought. "I'm sorry," I said, looking away. I was falling for his innocent face, and I hated it. "I don't believe you," Aidan muttered, standing to his feet. "Where are you going?" "I need to see your father." Again, nightmares flashed, leaving me blank for seconds. "What for?" "To discuss a way forward, What else?" He answered, buttoning the lines on his shirt. I followed him. Whatever it is, he would tell my father it would be to her hearing. I trailed behi
