Heartbeats and Time
The road stretches ahead of us like a never-ending ribbon, winding its way through hills, forests, and the occasional farmhouse. I keep my gaze locked on the horizon, my thoughts a swirl of questions I don't know how to ask. Chase hasn't said much since we left his mother's place. His mind is clearly elsewhere, consumed by something I can't reach.
