Married for Greencard, Stayed for Love Chapter 1 A Big Shot
In a dimly-lit hotel room...
Rena Gordon passionately kissed the handsome stranger.
Earlier tonight, her ex-boyfriend, Harold Moore, announced his engagement—with another woman. Rena was so devastated that she got drunk at a bar. Under the influence of alcohol and the strange man's charm, she somehow ended up here.
Now that Harold was marrying a rich girl regardless of his four-year relationship with her, then she could also indulge herself a little, right?
Just as the man was pulling her clothes off, Rena leaned on the man's shoulder and forgot herself, murmuring, "Harold!"
The man stopped abruptly, and the lust in the atmosphere instantly dissipated.
The next second, the lights were flicked on.
The bright light made her squint, but when her eyes finally adjusted to the light, she saw the man's face clearly.
It was Waylen Fowler—the most sought-after lawyer across the country. He was very famous in law circles, and he was an elite with countless assets.
But most importantly, he was the future brother-in-law of Harold, who had just betrayed her.
Rena sobered up instantly.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She almost had sex with the brother of her very rival in love!
Waylen also pulled away from her.
Leaning against the wall, he lit a cigarette. After taking a long drag, he looked her up and down and said playfully, "Very interesting, Miss Gordon."
He flicked the ash off his cigarette and asked with a faint smile, "What were you thinking about just now when you kissed me? Did you want to have sex with me to make Harold jealous?"
Obviously, Waylen also recognized her now.
Rena couldn't pretend that she didn't know this man.
After all, Waylen was famous. She just didn't recognize him earlier because of the alcohol.
She knew that she couldn't afford to offend such a big shot, so she lowered her head and apologized meekly. "I'm sorry, Mr. Fowler. I drank too much."
Fortunately, he didn't make things difficult for her. After finishing off his cigarette, he stood up s

Married for Greencard, Stayed for Love Chapter 2 No Ordinary Man
As soon as Rena burst inside the house, she found Eloise sitting on the sofa in a daze.
Her eyes were red, as though she had been crying.
Rena looked around and asked anxiously, "What happened, Eloise? Where's Dad?"
Eloise was the second wife of Rena's father.
She couldn't help but break down at the mention of her husband.
"Harold is so cruel! When the Moore Group was in trouble a few years ago, you never gave up on him. Now that the Moore Group has gained its footing, he not only dumped you but even tried to send your father to prison! Your father is now in the detention center because of that ungrateful boy!"
After a short pause, Rena said in a low voice, "Let me talk to Harold first."
Although they had broken things off, they had been together for a long time. She believed that Harold wouldn't be so ruthless.
She dialed his number. Soon, the call connected.
Rena pleaded, "Harold, we've split up already. Please don't vent your anger on my father."
However, Harold simply sneered coldly.
"Someone has to be held responsible for the losses."
Rena still wanted to plead for mercy, but Harold spoke first.
"There is actually another way out of this... As long as you're willing to be my mistress for five years, I'll let your father go."
Rena's jaw went slack.
She had no idea that her ex could be so shameless. He wanted to keep both his career and her body!
Rena trembled with anger. "Harold, you make me sick!"
Harold replied playfully, "You've always known what kind of person I am, right?"

Married for Greencard, Stayed for Love Chapter 3 Mr. Fowler Is A Hypocrite!
Rena visibly stiffened.
She awkwardly held up a paper bag and explained, "I came to return your coat."
Waylen nodded and took the paper bag.
"Thank you." Then without saying anything more, he walked straight towards the elevator.
Rena snapped out of her trance and hurried to catch up with him. "Mr. Fowler, there's something I..."
The elevator doors slid open as soon as Waylen pressed the button. Without hesitation, Rena followed him in.
Seeing this, he narrowed his eyes at her inquisitively.
Then he smoothed his shirt and said indifferently, "I'm not taking your case."
Rena fell silent.
It seemed that Waylen already knew about the matter regarding her father!
She lowered her head and asked softly, "Did Harold ask you not to take my case?"
Waylen looked at her in the mirror-like wall and smiled. "No. I just don't like mixing my private affairs with work."
Rena understood what he meant. If she wanted to sleep with him, he was more than willing. But if she came to him for anything related to work, she could just forget about it.
Her ears turned red from embarrassment.
But once again, Waylen didn't force her to do anything.
Although she was beautiful, it wasn't enough for him to sacrifice his principles. Besides, he wasn't interested in sleeping around in the daytime.
Soon, the elevator stopped at the twenty-eighth floor.
Waylen's secretary was waiting at the elevator door. She was surprised to see Rena with him, but because of her years of working for this man, she knew better than to say anything. "Mr. Fowler, your client has arrived," she said politely.
Waylen tossed the paper bag to his secretary and said, "Send it to the dry cleaners."
The secretary nodded and left.
Waylen lowered his head and started tinkering with his phone. Without looking up, he said to Rena, "Find another lawyer. And you shouldn't sell your body for favors. It's distasteful."

Chapter 1 A Heartbreaking Revelations
At the Winters Residence.
“Elias, when are you coming home?
I have something to tell you.”
A sweet smile appeared on Amanda Bailey’s face while she looked at the two lines on the pregnancy test. The male voice on the other end of the call replied, “I’m already home.
In the living room.
” “Really?
I’ll be right down.”
She hung up the call and rushed out of the room with the pregnancy test strip in hand, eager to tell the man the good news.
She sprinted down the stairs but suddenly remembered her pregnancy and slowed down.
Clutching the test strip in her hand, she wondered what Elias Winters’ reaction would be once he heard the news.
Yet, when Amanda was halfway down the stairs, she saw two figures in the living room—Elias and a S**y woman.
Slowing down her steps, she held the handrail tightly and felt her heart sink.
That was because she saw her husband and the woman behaving affectionately as though they were a smitten couple.
The smile on Amanda’s face froze, and her thoughts were a mess.
Both her legs felt heavy as she slowly made her way down the stairs.
“Elias—” As she finally made her way to the living room, she called him but was coldly interrupted.
“She’s pregnant, so let’s get a divorce.”
Amanda stayed silent.
The way he spoke was so straightforward and impatient, as though he had been eagerly waiting to break the news.

Chapter 1 Adopted
A luxury BMW was parked at the end of an old street in a small town.
A girl in shabby jeans stood in front of the car door expressionlessly, clutching an equally shabby suitcase.
A middle-aged man was sitting in the driver's seat. He looked at the girl standing outside from the corner of his eyes and frowned, seeming dissatisfied with her shabby ensemble.
"Get in the car," he barked.
The girl didn't flinch despite the harshness in the man's voice.
She calmly opened the door and got in the back seat.
"I'm Bill Jenkins. From now on, you're going to be my daughter. Although we're not biologically related, I'll arrange for someone to train you. You'll become a decent Jenkins lady in no time."
As the man spoke, he started the car and zoomed out of the small town.
In the river-view villa, as soon as Maria Jenkins got out of the car, she saw a middle-aged woman standing at the gate.
Judging from the woman's uniform and demeanor, Maria guessed that she was a servant.
"Mr. Jenkins, Miss Jenkins, welcome back. Lunch is ready."
Bill turned to Maria and said, "Since you're new here, Lily will show you around. You have to behave once you step inside this house. Don't even think about bringing your old bad habits to the Jenkins family. Do you hear me?"

Chapter 1 I Won't Lose You For The Second Time
In the elevator of Windsor Holiday Inn
It was hot,
so hot!
Cassie Bo leaned against Alice Qi's shoulder. The airtight space in the elevator made Cassie Bo a little out of breath. She then shut her eyes.
The medicine mixed into the alcohol she drank was already taking effect. Her cheeks flushed.
Glancing at Cassie Bo, Alice Qi clenched her fists as her eyes flashed in rage.
'I'll be the only one Adam loves. I'll take everything from you, Cassie. Just wait and see.'
With her bag pulling her back down to a slouch, Cassie Bo blinked drowsily. "Alice, how long will it take for us to get there already? I feel terrible," she whined exhaustedly. Her arms were already lying limp on her sides.

Chapter 1 The Substitute Bride
Celia Kane woke up in a trance, finding herself weak and dizzy. The most bizarre thing was that she was wearing a wedding dress.
Several bodyguards held her and were about to force her into a bridal car.
"Wait! What are you doing? Let go of me!" Celia was in a panic. She couldn't believe what was happening.
She only had gone back to get her mother's belongings and stayed for a meal at her father's request. That was all she could recall. What was going on now?
The strong bodyguards held Celia tighter and brutally pressed her into the bridal car.
"This is Mr. Kane's order. Get in the car now," shouted one of the bodyguards in a loud and terrifying voice.
Celia was taken aback. She almost couldn't believe that this was her father's idea.
She was shocked and confused at the same time, trying to recall what had happened.
Two hours ago, her father, Adrien Kane, told her that he had accidentally found her mother's belongings in the attic. He asked her if she wanted to come back and take them with her.

Chapter 1 Back For Divorce
Scarlett's POV:
I checked the time again and sighed. It had been one and a half hours since I flew in, and I had lost count of the times I had glanced at my watch. My husband, Charles Moore, was nowhere to be found. He was supposed to pick me up from the airport. But he must be with his girlfriend right now. I shook my head and smiled bitterly at the thought, stood up, and dragged myself and my luggage out of the airport.
I married Charles three years ago. But shortly after our wedding, I received some good news from my dream university abroad. I was accepted to one of their programs, so I left to study there. Charles and I had not seen each other for three years. While I was away, he was spending all his time with the woman he truly loved.
Now, I was finally finished with my studies and I came back home. I wanted to end our nominal marriage. I decided it was time for me to stop hoping for things that would never happen.
On my way home in a cab, I sent Charles a message that read, "We need to talk."
Before long, I was standing inside our empty house. I set my luggage aside and headed to the living room. I sat on the sofa and waited. The house looked and smelled like no one had lived in it for years. Our wedding photo was still hanging on the wall. It offended and saddened me at the same time.

Chapter 1 I've Had Enough Of You
On July 14th, Chinese Valentine's Day
Set against the background of the night sky, the street lamps and neon signs all blended into a blur, lighting up the whole city.
It was drizzling. A thin woman in a white dress walked swiftly on the quiet street, carrying an umbrella over her head.
A faint smile flashed across Mandy Zhou's face. She looked at the cake in her right hand and smiled in relief.
Today was the third anniversary of her relationship with her boyfriend, Daniel Zhao. Daniel was the first boyfriend she'd ever had, and she loved him a lot. They had always celebrated their anniversary together, but today, Daniel was too busy with work to spend time with Mandy. Undeterred by this, Mandy had spent the whole afternoon making a cake at home so that she could surprise Daniel with it.
At Elegance Residential Quarters
Mandy Zhou opened the door and flicked on the light switch. The familiar scene of Daniel's living room came into view. She gingerly set the cake down on the coffee table in an attempt to preserve her hard work until Daniel got to see it.

Chapter 1 THE PLOT
Kassidy's POV:
"Get away from me you good-for-nothing bitch!" he shouted, and as I turned to run, he grabbed me by the arm and pulled me close. I struggled to get away, but his grip was too strong. He drew back his leg and kicked me, and I fell to the floor with a thud. I curled up, trying to protect myself from his blows, but they kept coming. I could hear him yelling obscenities at me, but I couldn't make out the words over the ringing in my ears. I was helpless, and I knew there was no escape.
I lay there on the floor, dazed and in pain, I thought about how I had ended up here. It all began a few years ago when my mother decided to get married to him because she didn't want me to grow up without a father figure. I never thought I needed a father, because the love my mum gave me was greater than anything that I could imagine. Everything turned upside down the moment she got married to this man, who made things difficult for both of us. Of course, men like him were always the pleasant ones, wanting to be everything in the beginning for the woman so she could let her guard down. My mother innocently thought he was going to be the best father for me. But that was the mistake she made.
"Get the fuck up!" He kicked me again on my aching rib causing me to groan in pain.
"Please... please stop," I begged, signaling to him. But he wasn't about to relent. He moved towards me and pulled me by the hair. "Ahhh," I screamed, tears stinging my eyes.

Chapter 1 A Mischance And A Mess
I walked briskly out of the hotel lobby after I finished helping my Head of Department drop off the papers he had forgotten at the office and picked up some extra ones from him. I walked with the intensity of a child late for school as I made my way down the stairs without even looking down, completely buried in my thoughts, when I missed a step. I tripped and was falling onto a man who was about to climb up the stairs and he could have caught me, but instead, he shifted out of the way and with vigorous force, I came crashing down to the ground. The documents flew out of my hand and scattered around me like autumn leaves in the wind.
He observed the scene before him with a subtle smirk. He chose not to extend a helping hand, enjoying the sight of me groaning in pain and embarrassment. It was as if he found amusement in watching me fall. I looked up, ready to express my annoyance, but before I could say anything, he walked off without saying a word
I muttered to myself, "wow, how rude and heartless can someone be? What kind of person just watches someone fall and does nothing?"
Feeling indignant, I got up from the ground and knelt to gather my documents. The man overhearing my remark, stopped in his tracks and turned back to face me.
"Heartless? That's quite an assumption to make."
"Well, your actions speak volumes. You didn't even bother to apologize!" I said irritatedly as I stood up to him.
"Apologies are overrated, don't you think?" He responded nonchalantly as his guards tried to step in but he dismissed them.

Winter's P.O.V
I walk towards my locker and immediately frown when I see the one and only Gemma Hill standing against it, smirking at me like I am a pathetic excuse of a girl.
I ignore her and start to fiddle with my locker, opening it and starting to take my books out for my first class. I close my locker and as I turn around, I notice that Gemma has disappeared. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion but inside my head, I am fist bumping the air.
Is this the day Gemma Hill is done with the dare? Is she finally out of my life? I smile and spin around to walk to my first class but stop in my tracks when I see Gemma's group of friends standing behind the captain of the cheerleading squad, aka, Gemma.
"What do you want, Gemma?" I ask her, my smile gone now. She flicks her blonde hair over her shoulder and hands me an envelope.
"It's Monday remember?" Gemma smiles at me and I sigh, knowing that my daily routine is ruined, just like every other Monday.
I nod and she pats my head how a person pats their dog's head when it obeys it's owner... and that's what I am.

Chapter 1 Divorce
Scarlett's POV:
I came out of the bathroom wearing a thin, backless lace nightdress. I was showing a lot of skin, and the nightdress was so short that it only partly covered my buttocks.
Standing by the French window, Charles Moore turned around. He was wearing a black striped bathrobe with the belt tied snugly around his waist. The top part of the robe was slightly open, revealing his strong, lean chest.
His gaze fell on me, and his eyes instantly lit up.
I knew I had successfully aroused his interest.
I had been married to Charles for three years, but we had never consummated.
I knew that he was in love with somebody else, so I flew to France shortly after our wedding.
A few days ago, Charles's grandmother called me and told me that it was time for the Moore family to welcome a new member.
I knew what she meant. To be honest, I didn't hate the idea of having a child with Charles. In fact, I was happy to hear it.
