Diane could not think straight watching the arrow approaching her mate from afar, she had not planned on dying when she stepped in to fight in the place of men, she had planned on gaining her position and if she couldn't she would get to understand why he delighted in bloodlust. She learns that the war also claimed the life of the pack's Alpha.
