In the city where power was inherited through bloodshed and silence, love was the most dangerous liability of all. She emerged from the shadows like a secret the underworld had failed to bury-elegant, unreadable, and far more lethal than she appeared. Every step she took echoed with intention. Every smile concealed a calculation. Men underestimated her. They always did. And they always paid for it. He was young, brilliant, and already feared. A rising king in a world that devoured the weak, carrying ambition like a loaded weapon. He didn't trust easily, didn't hesitate, and didn't believe in fate-until her presence began to unravel everything he thought he controlled. Their connection wasn't born of innocence or chance. It was forged in danger, sealed by secrets, and fueled by a hunger neither of them dared to name. In a world ruled by betrayal, they found something far more terrifying than enemies-each other. Because when desire collides with power, and love becomes a threat, survival is no longer guaranteed. And in the mafia, nothing is more deadly than wanting what you're not supposed to have.

MAFIA DESIRE Chapter 1 THE MAN BEHIND THE GLASS

The man on the floor was begging.

"I swear, Alessandro, I didn't betray you-"

"Again," Alessandro Moretti said calmly.

"I swear Don, I didn't mean for me to betray you."

The man said again, hands shaking as he tried to form more words, eyes shaking like he was staring at the devil himself. The man standing before him might actually be more than the devil.

The room fell silent.

No one ever crosses him without facing the consequences.

No one steals from him.

No one!!

No one questioned him. No one ever did.

From the top floor of the building, the city lights glittered beyond the wall of reinforced glass. Cars crawled through the streets like glowing insects, their drivers unaware of who truly owned the roads they traveled.

Alessandro stood with his hands clasped behind his back, his perfectly tailored suit as dark as the night outside. Not a single wrinkle disturbed the fabric. Rings coating his long , slender fingers.

The same could not be said for the man kneeling behind him.

"I'm telling the truth," the man insisted, his voice shaking. "I would never-"

A single glance from Alessandro silenced him instantly.

Alessandro never needed to raise his voice. Authority clung to him like a shadow-quiet, suffocating, and impossible to escape.

He turned slightly, acknowledging the presence of his right-hand man.

Luca stood nearby with his arms crossed, watching the scene unfold with practiced indifference.

"You were warned," Alessandro said at last, turning to face the traitor fully.

"Once."

A slow step forward.

"Twice."

The room seemed to shrink with every movement he made.

Fear thickened the air.

Moments later, the problem was handled.

Silence settled over the room again.

Alessandro returned to the glass wall, staring out at the restless city below. His jaw tightened slightly-not from anger, but from exhaustion.

Power demanded constant vigilance.

Mercy was a luxury he had stopped believing in long ago.

"Another issue," Luca said carefully.

Alessandro didn't turn. "Business?"

"No."

That got his attention.

Alessandro slowly faced him.

"There's a woman," Luca continued. His voice slightly lowered with fear "She witnessed the exchange at the docks last night."

Alessandro's reflection stared back at him from the glass.

Cold. Calculating.

"Witnesses don't stay witnesses," he replied flatly.

Luca hesitated.

"She's... different," he said. "No connections. Wrong place, wrong time."

For a moment, Alessandro said nothing.

Then he turned fully.

"Find her."

Luca studied him carefully. "And when we do?"

Alessandro's gaze drifted back to the glittering city below.

"Then we make sure," he said quietly, "she never speaks about what she saw."

And just like that, somewhere in the city, a woman who didn't even know his name had become his next problem.

And in Alessandro Moretti's world, problems rarely survived for long.

The Fallen Heiress's Debt to the Billionaire

Shen Xiyan

I was once the princess of the Upper East Side, but now I’m just "debt wrapped in pretty skin." To keep my father alive in a federal penitentiary, I signed a contract I didn't fully understand. I thought it was about restoring my family's name, but producer Barnett Orr treated it like a bill of sale for my soul. Inside his limousine, the air smelled like gasoline and fear. Barnett didn't want a star; he wanted a victim. He bruised my jaw and ripped my vintage silk gown to shreds, laughing because he knew I couldn't fight back without signing my father's death warrant. "Don't forget who owns you, Felicity," he whispered. When he dragged me into Dewitt Knight’s penthouse party, I was a walking disaster. I huddled in Barnett’s oversized jacket, my lip bleeding and my spirit shattered. The elite crowd didn't see a victim; they saw a fallen girl selling herself for a role. A former rival poured red wine over me, and the room erupted in cruel laughter while Barnett told everyone he was just "testing my commitment." I looked up at the balcony, locking eyes with Dewitt Knight. He was a god in a bespoke suit, looking down at me with cold, lethal disgust. He didn't see the bruises or the desperation. He only saw a transaction he found beneath him. "So the rumors are true," he said, his voice cutting through the music. "The Aguilars really will do anything for money now. Even this." I was trapped between a monster who wanted to break me and a man who thought I was trash. No one cared that my father's life depended on my silence. When Barnett cornered me in a guest room later that night, his belt jingling like a death knell, I realized no one was coming to save a girl like me. I fought back with a crystal vase, shattering it against his shoulder, but I was drowning in my own terror. Just as Barnett lunged for my throat, the door was kicked off its hinges. Dewitt stood there, finally seeing the blood on the carpet and the map of purple bruises on my bare back. He chased the monster away, but I didn't feel safe. I locked the guest room door, wedged a chair under the handle, and slept with a silver letter opener pressed against my skin. When I crept into the kitchen at midnight and found him waiting in the shadows, I aimed the blade at his heart. "In this house, no one hurts you," he promised, his voice a low velvet rumble. But in a world where I had already been sold once, I knew that even protection came with a price I couldn't afford to pay.
