Captive In CEO's Love Game Chapter 1 A Mess

There were noises coming from the locker room and a girl was trying to wiggle out of a man's arms.

"Brother, please don't do this..."

Molly Xu struggled desperately to ease out of his grip.

Eric Xiao looked at her coldly and strangled her. "Who are you calling your brother? My mother was angry with you, and now, she is in a vegetative state because of you. How dare you call me your brother?"

"No, it's not like that. I didn't mean to hurt Aunt Melissa!" Molly Xu cried, shaking her head.

He looked at her and said in a cold voice, "Molly, the evidence is right in front of our eyes, yet you still don't admit it. You're a disgusting woman!"

"No, you have to trust me, I was wronged!"

The more she tried to explain, the angrier he became. "How dare you deny it? So many people have seen the evidence, and no one thinks you're innocent. How desperate are you?"

Her heart ached when she heard that. She wanted to say more, but it was too painful for her to speak.

Eric hadn't expected her to seem so devastated. He looked at her and asked cruelly, "When did you start trying to seduce my uncle?"

Molly Xu stayed with Eric Xiao's family for a year because of her work. During that time, she had to share the room with Darrow Chen. Everyone thought that they were sleeping together, but they weren't.

"Eric, I didn't do anything to hurt anyone!" Molly Xu cried out as she grabbed his shoulder and burst into tears.

Eric Xiao sneered at her and said, "Don't try to justify yourself. My mother has been so good to you, but you've hurt her. I am going to make you pay for what you did!"

After saying that, he began to thrust deeper and deeper into her, making her feel the unspeakable pain.

She was deeply upset. When she first came to live with the Xiao family, they treated her like one of their own. She even felt the warmth in a family, as she only had one parent. She cherished the family very much. But now, the family's affection was replaced by immense hatred, and she couldn't help but feel as though the earth under her feet was falling apart.

The man who once doted her, now thought of her as the woman tried to kill his mother. How could she ever get past that mess?

Eric Xiao asked, "What will Darrow do if he comes to know that I fucked you?"

Molly Xu closed her eyes tightly and frowned. "No, please, don't tell him," she begged.

She shook her head and couldn't speak another word.

After he fucked her, he put his clothes on. He then choked her, and warned, "Remember this, you can't refuse, for as long as I want to fuck you. If you disobey me, you know what will happen, right?"

Her face paled and she was almost on the verge of saying "No." But then, Eric smiled and pointed to the camera, which was still recording. "You'd better be obedient," he said.

Her head started to spin. He had recorded everything and if she did anything that annoys him, he would release the tape for the whole world to see. Her reputation would be tarnished and she would be ruined!

She looked at his face and wondered, 'When did he become so cold and ruthless? He used to love me, but now he's being a monster. This isn't the Eric that I knew.'

His lean, muscular body disappeared through the door as he walked of the locker room. He then shut the door behind her, leaving her alone inside the room. She stared at her reflection in the mirror, saw her tattered clothes, her smudged makeup, and couldn't help but cry.

Everything was ruined and her happiness could never be returned.

A few minutes later, she heard someone knocking on the door. "Molly, are you ready yet? The Internet streaming will start in ten minutes."

Upon hearing that, Molly Xu came to her senses and straightened herself up. She put her clothes on and said, "Just a moment, please. I'll be ready!"

Molly Xu was a food reviewer, who would eat on live shows. She worked for Eric Xiao's company, which was a network of television channels. At first, she used to stay in the office, but later, his mother met her, and she poured her heart out to her. Molly then knew that Eric had a sister, who passed away due to an illness. Molly looked quite similar to her, so Eric's mother liked her a lot, and the two of them became fast friends.

Soon, Molly Xu moved in with them. All the food which she ate during Internet streaming was prepared by Eric's mom. In order to make their mother happy, Eric Xiao and Edward Xiao started accepting Molly as their own sister.

However, everyone hated her now. In fact, Eric Xiao had once strangled her and said, "If it weren't for your face, I'd have killed you!"

Molly Xu sighed as she thought of that day.

She put on her makeup, faked a smile and stepped out of the room.

Melissa Shen was now in the ICU. Half of what Molly Xu ate now was take-out food and the rest was cooked by the caretaker, who wasn't nearly half as good as Melissa Shen in cooking. As Molly Xu ate, she thought of that and it made her sad.

During the Internet streaming, someone began to call Molly's names. She ignored that and continued to eat, while talking about interesting things.

As time passed, more curses popped up on the screen, and so did the gifts. One person asked how many gifts he had to send her before she would agree to sleep with him.

When Molly Xu looked at those hurtful words, she almost wanted to end the Internet streaming, but she thought about her situation and felt like she had no choice but to go on. Even the food in front of her tasted so terrible. She nearly spat it out so many times before she swallowed.

"Molly Xu, you bitch! How dare you seduce my husband?! I'll rip you into shreds!"

When the Internet streaming was almost finished, Eric's aunt, Helen Qian, came rushing. She lunged at Molly Xu, grabbed her by her hair and slapped her twice. Before Molly could react, the chocolate in her throat choked her, making it unable for her to breathe.

Helen Qian suddenly snatched the Internet streaming phone and shouted to all those people who were watching, "This bitch is so shameless that she deceived our family. We thought of her as one of our own. She seduced my husband! Don't believe her innocent-looking face, she's pure evil!"

My father didn’t look at me like a daughter; he looked at me like a bad loan he needed to settle. After five years of being nothing but a monthly expense on his ledger, I was shoved back into the Quinn mansion, smelling the expensive lavender that masked the rot beneath the floorboards. He slammed a prenuptial agreement onto the mahogany table and gave me a heartless ultimatum. "Sign it and marry Harrison Sterling, or I call the care facility in ten minutes and tell them to pull the plug on your mother's life support." My stepmother Lydia told me I should be grateful for this "future," while my stepsister Tiffany kicked a bag with her old, hideous wedding dress at my feet. They told me I was born for nothing but to pay off their debts. I was shipped off in the rain to the Sterling estate, a stone fortress where the housekeeper treated me like a servant and locked me in a pitch-black room. Inside, my new husband—a man rumored to be a blind, unstable monster—hurled a crystal glass at my head and tried to strangle me with his bare hands. I could feel the tremors in his grip and the sickly-sweet smell of neurotoxins on his breath. I realized then that Harrison wasn't the master of this house; he was a specimen in a jar, being systematically poisoned by his own family while cameras watched his every move. My own father had sold me into a death trap, thinking I was just a desperate girl with nowhere else to go. But they didn't know I had been living a double life as a medical prodigy who graduated from Johns Hopkins at nineteen. I pinned my "monster" husband to the floor, pulled a set of silver acupuncture needles from the hem of my dress, and made him a deal. "I’ll give you your eyes back, and in exchange, you help me burn both our families to the ground."

I stood in the shadows of the hospital, watching my wife kiss another man while my grandmother lay dying upstairs. Just minutes ago, Erlene had snapped at me over the phone, calling me a "needy child" and claiming she was stuck at a business meeting across town. Now, she was stepping out of a red Porsche in a designer dress, wrapped in the arms of Andrew Hanson, the man who was supposed to be her "sick friend." "I'm not going up," Erlene said coldly when I confronted her in the rain. "I don't like watching people die. It's depressing. Tell her I came by." She looked at my soaked, cheap hoodie and my scuffed sneakers with pure disgust before turning her back on me to return to her lover’s side. I had to go back to the ICU alone and lie to my grandmother with her final breath, telling her Erlene was waiting just outside the door. As the heart monitor flatlined at 2:14 AM, my phone buzzed with a call from my mother-in-law, who screamed that I was a "worthless loser" and demanded I sign divorce papers immediately so her daughter could finally be with a "real man." For three years, I lived as a ghost, a poor driver who endured their insults and hid my true identity just to have a simple life with the woman I loved. I sacrificed my future for a family that treated me like a stray dog, only for them to spit on me while I held my grandmother’s cold hand. Why did I stay in the shadows for so long? Why did I let these people believe they could crush me under their expensive heels? I walked out of that hospital and threw my thick, black glasses onto the wet asphalt, watching a delivery truck grind them into dust. I didn't need the disguise anymore. I drove my rusted Honda to the towering iron gates of the George Estate, where the security team dropped their batons and snapped into a terrified salute. My father was waiting on the marble steps, but I wasn't there for a peaceful reunion. I was there to reclaim my inheritance and make sure Erlene realized exactly what she had thrown away.

For seven years, I drank the bitter tonic my fiancé, Alpha Adrian, gave me, believing it would cure my "wolfless" defect. I was wrong. It was poison. He wasn't trying to heal me; he was keeping me weak so he could replace me with my foster sister, Ariel. When the fire consumed the Alpha's Wing, I was trapped under a burning beam, my legs crushed. Adrian kicked down the door. I reached out to him, screaming for help. But he didn't look at me. He looked at Ariel, who was lying on the floor in a silk nightgown. He scooped her up, cradling her like she was the only thing that mattered. I begged him not to leave me. Instead of helping, he used his Alpha Command on me, his voice booming with supernatural weight. "Stay put! I'll be back for you!" It was a lie. He used his power to freeze me in the inferno and left me to burn alive. I survived, only to watch him publicly reject me for her the next day, with my own father's blessing. They called me a "genetic dead end." They thought I would crawl away and die in shame. I didn't. I limped up the mountain to the Neutral Lands to find the one man everyone fears-the exiled Alpha, Garth Morgan. "I have the Gamma Bloodline Scroll," I told the massive figure emerging from the shadows. "I don't want your gratitude," Garth growled, his eyes like storm clouds. "I'm not here for gratitude," I replied, staring him down. "I'm here to make a deal with the devil."

I thought I was waking up in the arms of Arthur, the man I loved. But as the morning light hit the Hamptons estate, the man buttoning his cuffs by the window turned around with eyes like chips of ice. It was Augustus Riddle, Arthur’s cruel younger brother, and I had just spent the night whispering confessions of love into the wrong man's ear. The night I thought was a beautiful beginning turned into a devastating nightmare. Instead of comfort, Gus treated me like a stain on his expensive carpet, scribbling a check for "services rendered" before shoving me into a dark service corridor to hide my existence from his brother. "How much does it cost to buy your silence?" He sneered, before leaving me barefoot in a torrential downpour while he drove away in a luxury Cadillac. Four years later, I am a struggling actress in Los Angeles, working double shifts as a barista just to keep the lights on. My life was finally stable until my roommate dragged me to a high-end dinner to meet her new "influential" boyfriend. The man sitting at the table, looking more arrogant and lethal than ever, was Augustus. He spent the entire night humiliating me, calling me a pathetic amateur and a social climber in front of my only friends. When I fled into the rain and collapsed on the sidewalk, skinning my knee until I bled, he watched from his car. He saw me clutching a plastic baggie containing the taped-together pieces of that four-year-old check—the only proof of my shame. He looked at me like roadkill, rolled up his window, and drove off into the dark. I couldn't understand why he was doing this. Why did he hate me enough to crush me, yet remember that I couldn't handle the smell of cigarette smoke? Why did he leave me bleeding in the street, only to send expensive medical supplies and coffee to my door the very next morning? "I'm moving out." I told my roommates, realizing that Gus Riddle didn't just want to destroy me; he wanted to haunt me. I grabbed my suitcase and walked out with eighty dollars to my name, finally ready to disappear into the city before he could burn the rest of my life to the ground.

The heavy thud of the release stamp was the only goodbye I got from the warden after five years in federal prison. I stepped out into the blinding sun, expecting the same flash of paparazzi bulbs that had seen me dragged away in handcuffs, but there was only a single black limousine idling on the shoulder of the road. Inside sat my mother and sister, clutching champagne and looking at my frayed coat with pure disgust. They didn't offer a welcome home; instead, they tossed a thick legal document onto the table and told me I was dead to the city. "Gavin and I are getting engaged," my sister Mia sneered, flicking a credit card at me like I was a stray dog. "He doesn't need a convict ex-fiancée hanging around." Even after I saved their lives from an armed kidnapping attempt by ramming the attackers off the road, they rewarded me by leaving me stranded in the dirt. When I finally ran into Gavin, the man who had framed me, he pinned me against a wall and threatened to send me back to a cell if I ever dared to show my face at their wedding. They had stolen my biotech research, ruined my name, and let me rot for half a decade while they lived off my brilliance. They thought they had broken me, leaving me with nothing but an expired chapstick and a few old photos in a plastic bag. What they didn't know was that I had spent those five years becoming "Dr. X," a shadow consultant with five hundred million dollars in crypto and a secret that would bring the city to its knees. I wasn't just a victim anymore; I was a weapon, and I was pregnant with the heir they thought they had erased. I walked into the Melton estate and made an offer to the most powerful man in New York. "I'll save your grandfather's life," I told Horatio Melton, staring him down. "But the price is your last name. I'm taking back what's mine, and I'm starting with the man who thinks he's marrying my sister."

For two years, I was the invisible force behind tech billionaire Kieran Douglas, convinced that our "private" romance was his way of protecting us from the tabloid spotlight. I managed his mergers, warmed his bed, and waited for a future that didn't exist. The illusion shattered at 6:00 AM when a Page Six alert debuted Kieran’s "real" romance with socialite Aspen Schneider. Before I could even process the betrayal, Kieran sent me a cold, professional text: "Order flowers for Aspen. Pink peonies. Her favorite." When I tried to walk away, my own mother called me a disgrace and threatened to lock my inheritance forever unless I married a sixty-year-old businessman to save her failing estate. At a high-society gala that same night, Aspen intentionally crushed my burned hand in front of the cameras, while Kieran stood by and dismissed me as a "mediocre assistant" who had overstayed her welcome. I stood in the cold New York rain, drenched in champagne and humiliation, realizing that every sacrifice I made for Kieran was a joke. I was a ghost in a penthouse that was never mine, discarded the moment his "soulmate" returned. To the world, I was just a placeholder whose time had run out. But Kieran forgot one thing: my father’s multi-million dollar trust fund unlocks the moment I legally marry. I didn't need love; I needed a signature and a shield. I walked into a discreet law firm and signed a marriage contract with a man I believed was the city’s most notorious, scandal-ridden playboy. I thought I was marrying a degenerate "beard" to buy my freedom and secure my revenge. I didn't realize the man who signed that paper wasn't a playboy at all, but Gaston Collins—the most powerful and dangerous man on Wall Street—and he had no intention of letting our fake marriage stay fake.
