Zanaya Devon, the main vocalist of one of the world's most famous girl groups - WHISTLE, has a secret. She is secretly married. And not just to someone, but to one of the most famous boy band in the world, Seth Devon of SHADOW.

Secretly Married Chapter 1 1

Zanaya's POV

"Congratulations!!!!" we high-fived everyone in the room after we finish our first recording.

Today, our band, WHISTLE, just finished recording our debut stage, and I can't help it. I started to cry, not even if there were a lot of people, or if I looked too strange. All the feelings that I held inside started to pour out.

I looked around and saw that my members were crying, too.

Finally, after many years of training in the infamous BP dungeon, we finally see the stage. My family had been patient and very understanding. When they allowed me to audition in Australia, they had been supportive ever since.

When I chose to train to be an artist, even if that means leaving my family behind, they still embraced my goals and my decisions. After all the challenges and struggles I've been through, I feel like debuting is a sweet delight.

The girls and I hug each other as we continue to cry.

This had been our dream. We had dreamed of this together.

I have been with Tokyo, Max, and California since like, forever and we had spent a lot of nights staying till the wee hours, fighting the urge to sleep so we can practice our performances. We always make sure our presentation for our weekly evaluation is perfect.

We've been together for God knows how long, I can't even count the times when we all cried together dreaming of when we will finally debut.

But finally, here we are, fulfilling our dreams.

"I'm so happy," I told Max.

She looked at me beaming. "Me too!" and we both started squealing together. Soon, even Cali and Tokyo are squealing with us.

"We should celebrate," Cali exclaimed.

And we looked at each other as we all speak at the same time, "Chicken!!!!" we all exclaimed and our manager laughed at how silly we looked.

Actually, it's Cali's favorite food but heck, one can never go wrong with chicken.

Our manager then ushered us outside of the dressing room so we can all go to our favorite restaurant.

Our recording is done anyway and it's already past nine in the evening so we need to go if we want to celebrate because we have something set for tomorrow. That means we need to sleep early tonight.

As we excitedly run our way on the hallway of Trinity Studios, we didn't notice a guy walking towards us until Cali halted and bowed 90 degrees.

"Good morning sir!!!"

Tokyo, Max and I stopped and bowed as well, greeting our senior. In our industry, we usually call senior artist sir and ma'am.

I bowed in instant without even checking who it is until I heard his voice.

"Hello!" he greeted back a little cheerful as he bowed in return. The body refused to lift up as I remembered that I recognized whose voice it was.

Max pulled me a little when I didn't move and I heard someone cough so I had to lift my head.

Wrong move

Because staring at me, was the guy I was dreading to see each day.

Seth Devon

I had to catch my breath upon seeing him.

When his eyes fell on me, I swear I saw how startled he was a little before his face became serious as he bowed again and went on his way, his eyes glued to his phone, not even looking back.

Of course, what should I expect? I told to myself.

"Hey, Zanaya, are you okay?" Tokyo asked me a little worried.

I smiled at her as I reach for her hand.

"Of course I am. I'm just a little overwhelmed because we're finally debuting." I half-squealed which she returned before our manager called us.

Soon, all four of us are inside a van with our manager on the wheels as we head to our favorite place.

While the girls excitedly talk with each other, my mind wandered to the guy we just bumped with earlier.

Seth Devon, my husband. Well, at least on paper.

I lay paralyzed on stiff white sheets, a prisoner in my own skin, listening to the rain lash against the window like nails on a coffin. My father, Elmore Franco, didn't even look at my face as he checked his clipboard. He just listened to the steady, monotonous beep of the heart monitor-the only thing proving I was still alive. Without a hint of remorse, he pulled a pen from his pocket and signed the Do Not Resuscitate order. My stepmother, Ophelia, stepped out from behind him, wearing my favorite pearl necklace and smelling of cloying perfume. She leaned close to my ear to whisper the truth that turned my blood to ice. "It was the tea, darling. Just like your mother. A slow, tasteless poison." She chuckled as she revealed that my fiancé, Bryce, had a two-year-old son with my sister, Daniela. My inheritance had been funding their secret life for years, and now that the money was secure, I was an inconvenience they were finally scrubbing away. As my father yanked the power cord from the wall, the beeping died, and the darkness swallowed me whole. I was being murdered by my own flesh and blood, used as a bank account until I was no longer needed. I died in that sterile room, drowning in the realization that every person I ever loved was a monster who had been waiting for me to take my last breath. Then, I gasped. I woke up in a luxury hotel suite surrounded by silk sheets, five years in the past-the very morning of my wedding. Next to me lay Basile Delgado, the "Wolf of Wall Street" and my family's most dangerous enemy. In my first life, I ran from this room in a panic and lost everything. This time, I looked at the man who would eventually destroy my father's empire and decided to join him. "I'm not leaving, Basile. Marry me. Right now. Today."

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband's Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn't find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn't even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father's legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn's party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara's health and managing every detail of Caden's empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I'd drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause-if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I'd forgotten.
