"You can't keep running away from me", Ehan said, his face was all serious as his eyes bored into Naira's. Standing her ground, Naira uttered using her utmost effort to look confident, "I am not running away." Ehan went on uttering all confidently, "Yes, you are. But eventually, you're going to have to stop. And I'm going to be there no matter how far you go. Because I know" At this point, Naira blurted out sternly interrupting him, "Don't even think like you still know me well when actually you don't even have any idea about this new me." Ehan's confused eyes met Naira's as she got uttering with an all blank face, "I have put back my pieces differently."

Chapter 1 Prologue

It was the last day of college for Ehan. The handsome, chocolate boy and sweetheart of the college. But he never spared a second glance at any girl except one, Naira. He was waiting for her like no more today.

His friends were enjoying his situation which was making Ehan to get pissed off to the core.

He was like born to win type of guy. Who never failed at his any attempt for whatever be it.....

But this time he was on the verge of getting failed. He was expecting Naira to confess her feelings for him but at the same time deep in his heart he was wishing not to happen something like that which was even unknown to him.

When it was their time to leave from there as they had a plan to go somewhere, Akash, one of his friends spoke up sarcastically, "Thanks to her that we got the Golden chance to call you a 'Loser' at least for once."

Ehan was fuming in anger but right then Naira got there panting as if she was running for a while and uttered between her panting, "I have something to tell you."

Anyone could easily tell what Ira had to say to Ehan. All of his friends got silent whereas the specific one got away from them.

Naira spoke up with a little bit of hesitation, "Ehan, though I am not sure what do you think of me but I want to confess. I think I have fallen for you. I love you."

Hearing Naira, letting out a sigh in relief Ehan turned to his friends and gave them a 'I told you type look' and then again turned to Ira who was giving him a hopeful look.

Naira was hoping to hear the same words as her from him and so when Ehan uttered, "Finally, you did it. I was waiting for this moment like no more and dying to hear it from you."

Naira smiled heartily but the smile started fading away as Ehan went on uttering, "But Naira, I don't love you. Making you fall for me was nothing but 'A Dare' for me. And you know what I can't afford to lose. I just can't handle it."

Hearing Ehan, Naira just kept looking in disbelief at him as he then uttered looking at his friends, "Ehan Sinha never fails be it anything." and then again turned to Naira for once again and uttered, "Let's not meet for any second time."

Naira got so lost in Ehan's words that she couldn't get herself to utter anything. Only a tear escaped from the corner of her right eye.

Completing his say, Ehan left from there before Naira could get hold of herself and say something.

Ehan's friends also left the place after giving Naira an all annoyed look.

Someone uttered, "How could she think Ehan will love her like really!"

Whereas someone got uttering sarcastically, "Poor girl!"

Naira then sat on a bench with a thud and kept staring with all teary eyes at Ehan's descending figure whom she started to love wholeheartedly. She still couldn't believe Ehan did that to her.

His care, his affection, his concern for her was all fake. He was doing all that only to win that damn dare. Nothing else.

She started thinking all that to be a nightmare and kept wishing to wake up from that desperately.

Then it started to rain making her realize it was not a dream but the truth.

All the memories started flashing in front of her eyes once again only to make her shedding tears like no more....

At some point wiping off the tears, Naira forwarded towards home being all hurt and broken and wishing the same as Ehan not to face him for any second time.

But what they didn't know was destiny had already some other plans. And it was only the beginning of the game of destiny to get them crossed their path for making them start a journey towards each other........

I had been a wife for exactly six hours when I woke up to the sound of my husband’s heavy breathing. In the dim moonlight of our bridal suite, I watched Hardin, the man I had adored for years, intertwined with my sister Carissa on the chaise lounge. The betrayal didn't come with an apology. Hardin stood up, unashamed, and sneered at me. "You're awake? Get out, you frumpy mute." Carissa huddled under a throw, her fake tears already welling up as she played the victim. They didn't just want me gone; they wanted me erased to protect their reputations. When I refused to move, my world collapsed. My father didn't offer a shoulder to cry on; he threatened to have me committed to a mental asylum to save his business merger. "You're a disgrace," he bellowed, while the guards stood ready to drag me away. They had spent my life treating me like a stuttering, submissive pawn, and now they were done with me. I felt a blinding pain in my skull, a fracture that should have broken me. But instead of tears, something dormant and lethal flickered to life. The terrified girl who walked down the aisle earlier that day simply ceased to exist. In her place, a clinical system—the Valkyrie Protocol—booted up. My racing heart plummeted to a steady sixty beats per minute. I didn't scream. I stood up, my spine straightening for the first time in twenty years, and looked at Hardin with the detachment of a surgeon looking at a tumor. "Correction," I said, my voice stripped of its stutter. "You're in my light." By dawn, I had drained my father's accounts, vanished into a storm, and found a bleeding Crown Prince in a hidden safehouse. They thought they had broken a mute girl. They didn't realize they had just activated their own destruction.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

I stood at the edge of the freezing pond on the Boone estate, my body trembling with a fear that rattled my bones. Across from me, Amanda Olsen looked immaculate in her cashmere coat, a sharp contrast to the jagged reality I was trying to hold together. "Why?" I whispered. Amanda just smiled, admitting she killed Grandpa Boone because he actually liked me. She pulled out a thick envelope-divorce papers Cordero had signed that morning. She told me he called me a parasite and was celebrating with her the night I suffered a miscarriage. Before I could even scream, Amanda lunged and shoved me into the icy water. My heavy wool coat acted like a sponge, dragging me into the artificial abyss. I thrashed and gasped for air, but Amanda just stood on the bank, watching me drown with her hands tucked casually in her pockets. As my lungs burned and the darkness closed in, I realized I had spent my entire marriage taking their abuse. I was the "foster trash" and the "gold digger" who let them win every single time. I was dying alone, hated by the husband I had tried so hard to love, while my murderer stood victorious on the shore. I never fought back. I just let them destroy me. Then, a violent spasm tore through my body. I sat up gasping, sucking in dry, air-conditioned oxygen instead of murky pond water. I wasn't dead. I was back in the opulent master suite, surrounded by red rose petals and wedding decorations. The digital clock glowed: October 14, 2019. I had gone back five years to the very night my nightmare began. The bathroom door clicked open, and Cordero stepped out, looking at me with the same cold disgust I remembered. But as I gripped the silk sheets, a new resolve hardened in my chest. This time, I wasn't going to be the victim. This time, the Boone family was going to find out exactly what happens when you push someone too far.

I lay paralyzed on stiff white sheets, a prisoner in my own skin, listening to the rain lash against the window like nails on a coffin. My father, Elmore Franco, didn't even look at my face as he checked his clipboard. He just listened to the steady, monotonous beep of the heart monitor-the only thing proving I was still alive. Without a hint of remorse, he pulled a pen from his pocket and signed the Do Not Resuscitate order. My stepmother, Ophelia, stepped out from behind him, wearing my favorite pearl necklace and smelling of cloying perfume. She leaned close to my ear to whisper the truth that turned my blood to ice. "It was the tea, darling. Just like your mother. A slow, tasteless poison." She chuckled as she revealed that my fiancé, Bryce, had a two-year-old son with my sister, Daniela. My inheritance had been funding their secret life for years, and now that the money was secure, I was an inconvenience they were finally scrubbing away. As my father yanked the power cord from the wall, the beeping died, and the darkness swallowed me whole. I was being murdered by my own flesh and blood, used as a bank account until I was no longer needed. I died in that sterile room, drowning in the realization that every person I ever loved was a monster who had been waiting for me to take my last breath. Then, I gasped. I woke up in a luxury hotel suite surrounded by silk sheets, five years in the past-the very morning of my wedding. Next to me lay Basile Delgado, the "Wolf of Wall Street" and my family's most dangerous enemy. In my first life, I ran from this room in a panic and lost everything. This time, I looked at the man who would eventually destroy my father's empire and decided to join him. "I'm not leaving, Basile. Marry me. Right now. Today."
