PROLOGUE

Beep beep beep.

That was my alarm, trying to wake me up.

Stupid machine.

"Aria, Aria, Aria wake up" urghh, who wake up early should be sued.

"Aria Willson. You have exactly five minutes to get up missy or you will be Late, Again!" That totally woke me

I woke up like my bum was on fire and ran into the bathroom before it was too late, I start with brushing my teeth and look at the bird's nest I call my hair, I try to brush my hair but its of no use the stubborn mane will never listen to me.

"Why can't you wake me up a little earlier " I yelled in frustration to my best friend and roommate Spencer.

She is cute. With beautiful red locks, wheat brown skin, black eyes, and 5.2 height.

She can play all kinds of rolls like. being my mom when I miss her, an adult to advise, a child to be pampered and most of all a best friend. who can never leave you upset or broken?

I'm glad I have her, and I would love to talk how wonderful of a person she is.

But right now I'm late.

Mr. Grumpy ( My maths professor) is very punctual and I'm someone who is all ways on time *note the sarcasm* and he loves me till death.

"Hurry up" Spencer yelled from downstairs.

"Coming " I yelled while swinging my backpack over my shoulder.

But there was something missing.

Oh My God! My locket.

I started looking for it on my dressing table.

And there it was my locket. A thin chain with a pendant. A pendant which has so many memories.

Memories I will never forget.

Memories of us.

I never thought it was possible, but it somehow was.

And it started, something like this.

FLASHBACK

"For the love of God! please, Lucy, hurry up We are already late" I groaned in frustration.

my friend Lucy and I are or were on our way to the cafeteria but then she somehow in the sea of people found her boyfriend Standing near his locker stuffing his books in.

"Just a minute, " she said and ran towards him and unfortunately dragged me with her.

"Babe," he said as soon as he saw her pulled her into a bear hug and kissed on top of her head.

Which made me roll my eyes. 'Typical couple ' gag

"Hey Aria" he greeted me. When he was done with the lovely- dovey thingie.

"Hey, Blake" I smiled. I might hate the concept of love or anything near it but Blake is my good friend, we've been together since we were in 4th grade.

"Can we go already? I'm starving " I complained whining.

"Sure, why not" he said shaking his head amused with my childishness

"Thank God " I sighed dramatically. And practically ran to the cafeteria.

We got our food and sat on our usual table with the rest of our friends.

We are totally 7 friends. Me, Lucy ( the girl I came in with) she is beautiful with blue eyes, fair skin, slim figure, 5.3 height, and blonde hair.

Blake. He is fair with black eyes, 6 feet height, black hair, and muscular body.

Peter. With the same height, same body type, same hair but with grey eyes and Brown skin.

Anna. With blue eyes, fair skin and she is Blake's twin so they have almost similar features

Alex. As in Alexander. With light brown eyes, tanned skin, same height, and same body type.

Kiyara.with slim figure, 5 feet in height, black hair, grey eyes.

In case you didn't notice. the reason for the guy's height is because they all are in the school's football team. And Peter is their captain.

And all girls excluding me are cheerleaders. So we are the cool people but we aren't like the popular guys who bully others and make them do our homework. Well, I do make Alex do my homework cause I do way more things for him.

We are simple with carefree nature.

"Hey guys," we three said to them and got the lot of hey and hi in return.

"Hey, those are mine" Alex whined like a kid. cause I stole some fries off his tray.

"I know Grambel, " I said winking teasingly

"I hate that Nickname" he whined again, fake glaring at when as I keep eating his food

"That's why I use it," I said stealing some more fries again.

"Your evil," he said glaring at me.

I just pulled out my tongue and rolled my eyes.

"Hey, guys look." Anna pointed something behind me.

"There comes the dramatics," she said and it was true.

There comes the members of the basketball team and their cheerleaders.

I hate those people cause they are so fake. Always so clingy.

I just ignored them. So did the others.

And that's how our lunch ended chattering, gossiping and cracking lame jokes.

The heavy iron gates of the Wilderness Correction Camp groaned as they released me after three years of state-sponsored hell. I stood on the dirt road, clutching a plastic bag that held my entire life, waiting for the family that claimed they sent me there for "rehab." My brother, Brady, picked me up in a luxury SUV only to throw me out onto a deserted highway in the middle of a brewing storm. He told me I was a "public relations nightmare" and that the rain might finally wash the "stink" of the camp off me. He drove away, leaving me to limp miles through the mud on a snapped ankle. When I finally dragged myself to our family estate, my mother didn't offer a hug; she gasped in horror because my muddy clothes were ruining her Italian marble. They didn't give me my old room back. Instead, they banished me to a moldy gardener’s shack and hired a "babysitter" to make sure I didn't embarrass them further. My sister, Kaleigh, stood there in white cashmere, pretending to cry while clinging to her fiancé, Ambrose—the man who had once been mine. They all treated me like a volatile junkie, refusing to acknowledge that Kaleigh was the one who planted the drugs in my bag three years ago. They wanted to believe I was broken so they wouldn't have to feel guilty about the "wellness retreat" that was actually a torture chamber. I sat in the dark of that shed, feeling the cooling gel on the cigarette burns that covered my arms, and realized they had made a fatal mistake. They thought they had erased me, but I had returned with a roadmap of scars and a hidden satellite phone. At dinner, I didn't beg for their love. I simply rolled up my sleeves and showed them the price of their silence. As the wine spilled and the lies crumbled, I sent a single text to the only person I trusted: "I'm in. Let them simmer." The hunt was finally on.
