Young CEO loves me Chapter 1 One

Alisha Perry, an average looking seventeen-year-old girl with a very long, natural blonde hair, extremely skinny and paled skin applied a bloody red lipstick on her lips, and checked herself in the mirror before walking out of her room.

"Mom" she called as she walked to the sitting room "I'm going out. I will soon be back."

"Okay. Have a nice time."

Alisha touched a small box inside her jacket and smiled with all her heart before replying her mother "I will."

Today was Alisha's seventeenth birthday. After celebrating her birthday with her only family member who was her mother, she had planned to visit someone later in the evening. But when Alisha stepped out of the house, the weather had been so cold to the extent that she had deliberated whether to postpone what she was planning to do or not

No. She thought. I'm doing it today. And with that thought being fixed into her heart, she walked more determinedly to her destination. Her destination wasn't that far, it was just a twenty minutes journey.

Halfway to her destination, her phone vibrated inside her pocket and she hurriedly brought it out. She checked the caller and it was one of her friends whose name was Miranda. Alisha had saved her name as Mindy and had grinned sheepishly when she had saw Mindy's name on her phone screen. Without anymore delay, she picked up the call.

"Mindy! Mindy!" She said into the phone.

"Hey." Mindy replied "How are you?"

"I'm fine."

"Hope you got my text in the morning and your present?"

"Absolutely. Thank you so much. It means so much to me."

"It's okay. I'm just glad that you like it. I'm so sorry for not being with you today. You know that I would have excused myself if I could."

"I know. You don't have to feel bad" Alisha replied.

"So, where are you now? I can hear the sound of cars."

"Guess." Alisha said with her beautiful smile still on her face.

"Hmmmmmm" Mindy hummed into the phone for some seconds before giving up "Just tell me. You know that I'm bad at guessing."

"Try. I'm giving you a second chance."

Mindy hummed again into the phone before giving up "I give up. I don't know."

"Okay." Alisha said disappointedly "I'm on my way to Zhang's house."

"Zhang?" Mindy questioned as if she had heard the name wrong.

"Yeah, Zhang."

The next second, Mindy shouted horrifically into the phone "Alisha! Don't tell me...!"

"Yeah. That is what I'm doing. I'm on my way to his house" she replied boldly before smirking "Don't worry, if everything goes well, you will be the first to know."

"Alisha, don't do this. For the sake of our friendship." Mindy said sadly.

"For the sake of our friendship, Mindy, allow me to be happy. Let me have something that my mother was deprived of. I love him and he loves me" Alisha said as she used her left hand to touch the small box that was inside her jacket.

"Alisha" Mindy called sadly.

"Mindy, please..."

Mindy sighed heavily and said "I hope everything goes well."

Alisha smiled when she heard this and said "Thank you."

"Alright. We will talk later."

"Oh wait" Alisha shouted into the phone because she knew that Mindy was about to hang up the phone.

"I'm still here." Mindy replied.

"What about Piaf? I've been trying her number since morning, it's not going through."

Piaf was Alisha's second friend. The three of them had been friends since grade 7.

"I also tried her number. It's unreachable. She might just be out of battery."

"I hope that is her excuse." Alisha said sadly. "There was no call nor text message nor present."

"She might be busy." Mindy said.

"Miranda" someone called in the background.

"Alisha, we will talk later, I have to go now." Mindy said urgently

"Okay, bye."

"Bye love you"

"I love you too"

After hanging up the phone, Alisha realized that she was just six minutes away from Zhang's apartment and she walked faster.

But two minutes after hanging up the phone, her phone buzzed and she brought it out. It was an email and it was from an unknown source. The subject of the message was Zhang, and it body were just six words that infuriated Alisha to the core.

ZHANG ISN'T WHO YOU THINK HE IS.

The first thing that infuriated Alisha was the fact that the message was from an unknown source and the second thing was the audacity that the crazy- person had to send her such an annoying message.

"Motherf***ker." she swore as she angrily deleted the message and walked faster. I'm going to prove all of you wrong. She thought as she started climbing the stairs.

She touched the small box that was inside her jacket for the last time and smiled to herself as she stood in front of his slightly opened door and was about to open it before a familiar voice stopped her from doing so.

"When are you going to tell her?" A familiar female voice asked.

"Give me some more time." a male voice replied.

"Zhang, I'm done giving you time. Just tell her and let's get this over with."

Alisha unconsciously put her hand inside her jacket pocket and squeezed the small beautiful box that she had worked extra hours at a restaurant for the last six months in order to purchase. Just in a second, her world was crumbling in front of her own eyes and she had no idea what to do. Her heartbeat was thumping so loud as if it was about to explode and she had no idea when hot tears started falling down her cheeks.

"The girl is stupidly in love with me. It's going to ruin her." Zhang said pitifully.

"She is strong." the familiar female voice replied "I'm going to call her right now with your phone and you're going to tell her. It's either that or you lose me."

"Give me some more time, Piaf." Zhang said.

Alisha breathe in and out heavily when she heard Piaf's name. She was still finding it hard to believe that one of her best friends who she had always considered her sister was the one inside the room with Kim Zhang, her first love both physically and emotionally.

She felt like fainting but she tried to be strong. The only option that she had now was to face her enemies.

"I can't wait to see her reaction when you tell her that you are no longer interested in her. I'm sure she is going to land in an hospital from the shock." Piaf said mockingly. "It's ringing. The fool will soon be picking up" Piaf added and Alisha imagined Piaf giving Zhang's phone back to him.

And lo and behold, Alisha's phone vibrated inside her jacket pocket but instead of picking up the call, she ignored it, wiped away her tears and opened the door.

I went to the New York City Clerk's office to handle a simple administrative matter, but the woman behind the glass handed me a nightmare instead. It was a certified marriage license from Clark County, Nevada, filed exactly three months ago. My vision blurred as I read the name in the spouse field: Baxter Noel. I was legally married to the ruthless billionaire whose legal team was currently suing me for intellectual property theft and trying to destroy my career. I remembered the conference in Las Vegas and a drink that tasted far too sweet, followed by a twelve-hour black hole in my memory that I had chalked up to exhaustion. When I sought help at my family's estate, my stepmother and sister didn't offer comfort; they stole my passport, shredded my clothes, and framed me for academic plagiarism to strip away my university fellowship. Even Baxter himself looked me in the eye with cold indifference, claiming he didn't know me and promising to have me arrested for fraud if I ever showed him that document again. Within twenty-four hours, I was homeless, jobless, and being hunted by the most powerful man in the city. I couldn't understand why a man who "eats people for breakfast" would be caught in the same trap as a struggling scientist like me. The confusion turned to pure terror when I looked at the witness signature on the license: Gene Mcclain. My mother, who was supposed to have died in a car crash ten years ago, had signed that paper with a fresh, trembling hand only ninety days ago. "I am holding a grenade, and I have no idea when the pin was pulled." Standing in the biting November wind with nothing but a laptop and a marriage license, I realized I was just a pawn in a much deadlier game. I stopped running and began to fight back, determined to use my unwanted status as the billionaire's wife to uncover the truth about the mother who came back from the dead.

I woke up on silk sheets that smelled of expensive cedar and cold sandalwood, a world away from my cramped apartment in Brooklyn. Beside me lay Ezra Gardner—my boss, the billionaire CEO of Gardner Holdings, and the man who could end my career with a snap of his fingers. He didn’t offer an apology for the night before; instead, he looked at me with terrifying clarity and proposed a cold, calculated business arrangement. "Marriage. It stabilizes the board and solves the PR crisis before it begins." He dressed me in archival Chanel and sent me home in his Maybach, but my life was already falling apart. My boyfriend, Irving, claimed he had passed out early, yet his location data placed him at my best friend’s apartment until three in the morning. When I tried to run, I realized Ezra was already ten steps ahead, tracking my movements and uncovering the secret I’d spent twenty years hiding: my connection to the powerful Senator Grimes. I was trapped between a CEO who treated me like a line item on a quarterly report and a boyfriend who had been using me while sleeping with my closest friend. I felt like a pawn in a game I didn't understand, wondering why a man like Ezra would walk up forty flights of stairs on a broken leg just to make sure I was safe. "Showtime, Mrs. Gardner." Standing on the red carpet in a gown that cost more than my life, I watched my cheating ex-boyfriend’s face turn pale as Ezra claimed me in front of the world. I wasn't just an assistant anymore; I was a weapon, and it was time to burn their world down.

The rain in Detroit was slick with grime when my family finally came to fetch me. They didn't want a reunion; they wanted a sacrificial lamb to marry into the Kaufman empire to save their failing business. I thought I was just being sold off, but the limo ride ended under a dark overpass where six hired thugs were waiting with chains. My own sister had ordered them to "break my spirit" so I’d be a shaking, pathetic mess by the time I reached the altar. They called me "Detroit trash" and sprayed air freshener when I sat on their leather seats. My stepmother wanted a video of me begging for my life, and my father was ready to trade me like a used car to a man everyone called a "vegetable." They expected a submissive country girl, unaware that I was a high-level "cleaner" who could snap a radius bone before they could even scream. When I finally reached the Kaufman estate, I found my fiancé, Barron, slumped in a wheelchair, drooling and silent. But as soon as the doors closed, the "invalid" grabbed my wrist with a grip of iron and whispered a command that changed everything. I didn't understand why my own blood was so desperate to see me destroyed. What had I ever done to deserve a hit squad and a forced marriage to a man they thought was a corpse? But Barron isn't a vegetable, and I'm not a victim. We just touched down at the Moon family gala in a matte-black helicopter, and as the doors slide open, the "broken" bride is about to show them exactly what happens when you throw away the wrong daughter. "If we're going to crash a party," Barron whispered, his eyes burning with lethal clarity, "we should make an entrance."
